I agree with Kärnan over EGF, not only does it have a more diverse layout, the theming is otherworldly, there may not be as much airtime but the whole package is so delivered so well.
yea not much airtime, but the high speed turns really make up for that. you get good laterals at every change of direction, and there are quite a few, and its quite rare to have that many lateral G - moments on a Hyper/Infinity coaster, which are mostly build in a back and forth layout with series of hills + 1 turnaround, this way Kärnan separates itself from the mass of Hypercoasters (not to mention what happens inside the tower xD)
Fun fact: not only does Karnan have the same 240' height as Silver Star: it more importantly but also has the same drop at 220'! Thanks for posting, I was gonna go to Florida this year and Europe next year but I just discovered how good it'll Florida will be in 2025 so I decided to wait. Who knows? I may get to Germany sooner than I thought. Thanks for posting!
It doesn't have to be on the level of RtH to be a really good coaster. Besides that Voltron Coaster at Europa Park for 2024 will probably be a Top 5 Coaster in Germany as well.
For me #1 is Taron for many reasons. The first and most important reason is that it was the absolute perfect coaster to make Phantasialand even greater then it already was. FLY was an insanly good adition but no where as important as Taron. Second, it is the only roller coaster that (almost) everybody loves, no matter if you are a thrillseaker or just a regular visitor. And finally third, it is in every aspect amazing: Great theming, great layout, great speed, it sounds great, it feels great, its super confortable and so on. There are so many great coasters in Germany but not a single one besides Taron (and maybe Fly) has no weakness.
@@WCfanboy It slows down a bit before the 2nd launch but in my mind thats actually not even a downside but rather makes the acceleration so much better. All of this is obviously subjective, and i never said it is perfect but for me it is at least the most well rounded coaster i have ever been on. (Said that, i have not been to the US, but on most of EU rides)
Very interesting....thanks! With Europa being my home park it´s nice to hear such praise for Wodan...which was kind of sluggish for the first few years....but became so much faster after that. Heres hoping that with Voltron bein build the park gets another highly intense coaster...
There are many reasons I wish to go to Germany but their roller coasters are defintely high on that list. I envy you lol. Ich liebe deutsche Achterbahnen!
Silver Star is underrated a little. Especially in Winter it is a REALLY good ride. But yeah it's a good list. I have Geforce at number one because it's in my home park and it's basically the ride that made me into an enthusiast, and Kärnan is a bit rough which makes rerides a bit jarring, but it's still my second favourite. I haven't had the opportunity to ride F.L.Y. yet though, only in April. I'm really looking forward to it.
@@todespizza8904 you got to answer him in english i guess, anyways there is one train of the 3, which rattles a bit, the other 2 are as smooth as it gets, considering the consantly high speed this coaster travels with, so it always will be a bit shakey, but thats totally okay...
My Favorit is F.l.y. this Feeling was so unique. The Rest of the list is very similar to your list. Only Flight of the demons is higher at 4 after Schwur des Kärnan und Geforce. Heidepark is my Homepark and flight of the demons was my first "big" rollercoaster. Thatswhy i like this ride so much. Greedings from Germany:)
The Taron and FLY comparison is great. Both are truly great attractions in their own way. While I agree Taron isn't a full thrill coaster, it's a thrilling family coaster with a stupid long layout and amazing theming
Dynamite in Freizeitpark Plohn is pretty good. It currently is still is the only Big Dipper Coaster from Mack Rides in over here in germany at the time of writing this comment and it's coaster that should be ridden atleast once. From the theming of the queue line inside an old western-style building with an animatronic talking about how he found found Gold in Plohn eventhough other called him crazy to the awsome first drop taking you through something like a small mineshaft and a corkscrew over the Station building.
Great list, I love your aprreciation for Geforce, it's my Nr. 1 in Germany, but for many it's only like top 5 or so. That just shows how good Germany's collection is.
Interesting blue fire take. I personally prefer star trek to this but that's also because hangtime is one of my favorite forces and star trek has some great hangtime moments
I love the work you put into this list! I've only been to Phantasialand and Taron is my favorite coaster (with F.L.Y. being a close second) but I definitely agree with your high ranking of FLY. What's your comments on other reviewers saying Karnän is rough? I'm curious what you think
Thanks for the support! Both are great rides. Schwur des Kärnan definitely shakes around quite a lot. I could see how it would bother someone who is more sensitive to roughness than I am. for both my brother and I, it was tolerable for sure.
Between Kärnan and Taron I’d go for Taron as it’s way more re-rideable than Kärnan. The former is too rough on the transitions. As for Taron, it’s wild laterals and sweeping layout through Klugheim is hard to beat. Pity a lack of airtime
Sorry mate its still Taron for me but i can certainly understand it if you rank it a couple of places lower. As for Hals uber kopf i really enjoyed that one nothing you said i disagree with but for some reason i just like the thing so it a bit higher on my list. Colossus didn't really do it for me but since europe has so few decent woody's its still high on my list. For the rest i would say maybe a 2 or 3 spot differnence at the most. Good list.
I was going to ask if you had a countdown of the German parks in the making, but I think that might have to wait until you visit those parks in East Germany like Belantis.
As a coaster enthusiast i am always so suprised taron is that high for others. It does not offer much for me it has no drops no airtime no inversions, so whats the point? Sure the double launch is nice but thats it. I think it would not even land in my top 10 of germany. Dont get me wrong its a good coaster but nothing special.
I just booked a flight to Germany for later this summer and I'm stoked to be able to ride the majority of these. I'll definitely be doing Europa, Holiday, Phantasialand, and Hansa but, based on time, either Heide or Tripsdrill will have to get bumped.

Germany does have some significant new coasters lined up as well though if the rumor of Holiday Park getting a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster is true
Interesting!
@@ItzKueken That's good news, especially if it turns out to be better than Ride to Happiness.

Taron has subpar pacing and dead spots, it still looks great but it’s not flawless

@@HoundZvsxEa no, towards the end as well it runs very slowly over the final 2 airtime hills which give virtually no force

Arthur is a French movie that Europa Park included to appeal more French visitors
I see. Makes sense given the parks close proximity to France. Thanks for sharing!
I think Fly will be my favourite one when I get on it
Taron would easily be my number one (haven’t been on FLY yet), but I greatly enjoyed your list.
Definitely! FLY is actually my favourite flying coaster now beating out Tatsu, but still a tier below Taron for me.
Great list! I agree with almost all of it 👍✌️
lol I'll take Taron's position. Great list. Makes me realise what a great time I had over in Europe. So many good rides.

Wow.. I'm surprised that the lower ranked coasters here beat Sky Scream (Sky Rocket II) at Holiday Park, which didn't even make it on your list.
you can take Kärnan, Taron, FLY, Expedition GeForce and Voltron and put them in any order at the top 5 honestly
