I have been watching your videos and Dave's for a few years now, I love you both so much. You are both such a strength in so many aspects and so filled with, living. I once told you my goal to live in Alaska and do the same. I was close to Alaska, when COVID hit and family members began dying, I turned around drove from Colorado back to South Florida to help the family. That created a bunch of life lessons, like losing your home, vehicle I lived in, to a bad mechanic blowing up the engine from a bad oil change job. Then everything I bought for my life in Alaska, Everything you would ever need, clothes, tools, etc. Being destroyed in a rat infested, ac flooding of a storage. Lost everything I owned. Still craving Alaska, bought a 92 Chevy G30 van that has cost me 5x more than I paid for it. Still, I am so very grateful for this vehicle. I decided time to move forward and I got to North Florida. I got COVID and this miserable thing tore me up and made me so sick with things I never had to deal with and still trying too. I will be 62 this year and craving Alaska all the more swearing once I get away into the woods, I will be healthy again. I am starting over with absolutely nothing but this van, that has no AC or heat. I am craving to jump in the van with the very little bit of cash I have and just go. I hear your words, " Do you want to spend money on a new vehicle, RV or get a piece of land to live on? " I want to get there, I answer everyday, I want the Joy Happiness and Laughter of the Adventure.
I want this journey. I know I will be healthier when I get going. Then I wonder about needing a passport to get to Alaska? What am I dealing with passport, roads etc just to get there? Just that step from here to there?. Perhaps your son can show all of this in his channel. He already has a thousand dollars on a piece of land which, I won't. Still we seem to have the same beliefs and heart to live the best version of who we are. I just wanted to say this and see your own van build as I move forward. (I know you are saying stop watching videos and go!!) I love you for that!, You are a strong motivator) I truly appreciate and am so grateful and truly love you and Dave with all my heart. One day when I am fishing in Alaska you guys will feel my heart and all it's happiness, for sure!

Heyyyyyyyy … I am a 65 year old woman & have sported a white buzzed head most of my life & call myself a Grrl LOL … every year I live I give a few less sh&ts about what anyone thinks … I think I am down to about the last fraction of a sh&t right now ….it is one of the beautiful things about getting older. You are one of my inspirations that had me buy 10 acres of raw land in Florida this year that I am working on to live off-grid. You keep letting me know I can do it! Thank you! Loved watching the chat, seeing the animals and hearing all the news. Keep your name, and never cut your hair. I am 67, have always had very long hair and will never cut it. I french braid it nearly every day, keeps it out of my way. I love the old saying, "a woman's hair is her crowning glory". Can't wait to see the new video. I refuse to cut my hair as well and I’m 63. Good to see ya Brooke, looking forward to the upcoming adventures.
I took 55 yrs to decide to stop cutting my hair. I am now 72 and have waist length hair. It is thinner than it was when I was younger, but when I straighten it, it doesn't get all tangled up like it used to do. My hair has been grey for well over 20 yrs and I have had some grey hairs since I was 16 yrs old.
No matter what anyone else says, if you want long hair, let it grow. That is my logic.

I'm retired and live alone in the mountains of West Virginia. Last year I was too sick to take your challenge. But I did build a fire pit and used it once before having my toxic thyroid removed.

I’m 58 and do wear it in an up do....these days , I wear braids as well, hats like you, berets currently because all the hipsters have copied the style boho hat style,ugh.
