I am loving all of your squares! I'm making squares as we speak. I also have a lot of vintage color squares in my blanket. Haven't checked the date of them from my wrappers but I will later I also wanted to tell you that I took up your idea from your last video for the little like tupperware container of sorts. I walk around with my cell phone's in it a pair of scissors my crochet hooks, a notepad and a pen. Great idea so the stuff does not roll between the cushions of the couch my sofa they would fall to the floor and go behind the couch so I really like your idea
Aww, that's awesome! I told my husband let's get rid of the lid because I'm never putting that bowl back in the cabinet!! It's been a lifesaver, lol

Pink chamo one of my faves makes nice hats, i like the ridge hat on the red heart label, the one made in red happens to be my fave beanie to make. Painted desert is also one of my fave colorways..makes a great beanie also. Best to stock up on red heart variegateds..they tend to go away. I saw that cupcake confeti at the store so pretty. I passed for now...funny i have alot of these yarns you showing, best to stock up on variegateds...holly and ivy was my go to old days for christmas stuff...that sangria color with black border so beautiful...corner to corner squares so nice
I was pleasantly surprised with the pink camo, I like it's color combination! I love to buy variegated yarns even if I don't have a plan or project for it.

I check ebay every couple of weeks to see if there is any holly and ivy but no luck so far!

That was my issue until I took up “reading” via Audiobooks…. Now I have the best of both worlds! All I need is my phone, my Headphones, my crochet hook and yarn and I’m good! 😊

My "mood" is red, yellow, purple with a pinch of orange today!! lol Rose square? is that where the rose is in the middle of the square?

I just finished a big blanket for my daughter, period I usedPixxle no, in the color maze. I enjoyed making ibut I have to admit I was glad when it was done
I am also working on brightly colored large squares, is in white, that will go into a Boggy Blanket, One of my daughters friends is having a little girl, so I am also making a shells dish, baby blanket. It is a beautiful, pink and gray, in the yard is the lion brand hombre, in the color felicity.

I’m newer to crochet and didn’t buy too many variegated yarns at the beginning. But I love some of those vintage colors you showed. Recently I bought a bunch of striped yarns from Premiere. They have fruit stripes and some bold stripes, I’m knitting hats out of them and will use the leftovers in a blanket with my little squares bordered in black. I’m praying your infection goes away quickly.
I love the vintage colors that I've been able to find. I've seen the fruit stripes from Premier but haven't bought any yet. Do you like them?

Hey!!! I went thru the Dental Nightmare 20 years ago and had same situations as you....just had to put my two cents in....I Love my Dentures!!! It was worth the monies and time healing and all but for me it was worth it in the long haul...they last a good twenty years..second set of dentures was easy to do!!!!!!😇

Last week at 2A on north oxford valley rd, they “had” lots of vintage variegated yarn. The staff said since they made yarn it’s own section that they restock it a few times a week. If your feeling better you might want to check it out.
Did not get to check the other 4 stores on rte one that day.

I absolutely love what you are doing with the crochet squares. I will have to keep coming back because I'm curious to know how you gather all of these multicolored yarns. I mostly have single colored yarns, I'm unsure why that is so in my life.
I love all your colors and all of the squares. I'm familiar with the patchwork squares and the granny squares, too, but I've never learned the corner to corner squares. I would like to learn that.
Anyway, I really hope you are successful in getting the antibiotics that you need. It must be painful and frustrating feeling not quite right.
But I will be looking back for you in the near future for how many more squares you accomplish.

Read Tomorrow,Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, interesting book. I’m not a gamer,but I enjoyed the connection between the characters. I just taught myself to crochet, it was my nemesis, but I finally learned the essentials and am enjoying the craft. I just read Horses by Geraldine Brooks and loved it! ( I am 71 years old but always looking to learn something new).

I usually match the pink and the brown, and make squares out of those colors too, or, do a round or two of one color and then switch off with a color change or two...they turned out really pretty; oh, and I did an entire camo blanket with V stitch switching off rows with those other two colors as well. I think I may have actually used two different pink colors in the same blanket, a lighter and a darker pink than the pink that is in the pink camo, and then using rosy brown color too. Red heart doesn't really put out a coordinating olive 'r khaki green that would go along with it, so I don't bother.
I like the way pink camo works up in C2C I had not tried it that way. And thanks for showing us what the Painted Desert looks like I always kind of like the colors but I didn't think I would like it worked up, but how wrong was I,eh?
I've been pleasantly surprised with the variegated colors, every day I fall in love with a new color!!
I think they call this invisible seam...its what i do sometimes just sew into the loops butted together when joining squares and rows.. not through entire loops..try it sometimes doesnt give bulk in the seam..it lies flat...Anyway, you could be my sister😊 yarn choices tho i am still new to corner to corner squares..they do work up fast, tho. Ok i hot tough myself😂, sew your ends in each square as you go. Once you get in the habit, you will automatically do it, in the end it saves time. Life is a habit😊

I love your videos. Hoping all is/has gone well with your dental. I also had a root canal fail. Opted for a re-do because the tooth anchors a bridge (due to an accident), took two solid hours in the chair, with no guarantees. BTW, my dentist said an extraction is easier than a root canal.

Hi Jenny. I noticed that you don’t weave in your ends on your patchwork squares. I’m doing it just like you but normally I we’ve been things immediately. I’m guessing you do this because we can crochet over them when we crochet it altogether? Your squares are beautiful. I look forward to learning corner to corner squares. I’ve done some before but I don’t understand the decreased part. Love watching your videos.
yes the decrease can be tricky but once you get it, you get it. hang in there, that video is coming soon. As for the yarn tails...that is an OCD thing, and a me thing...when I put my squares together I need the them to be right side up with the end of row 1 and the end of 9 on the left side, it bothers my brain if they get turned around. I know, I sound crazy!!

Quick question, do you have the recipe for the C2C square? I’d love to try them too. I’m making my patchwork squares into a long open vest. I don’t really need even one more blanket, but loved your idea of using up my variegated yarns. It’s looking so good.

I have a video from 2 years ago about my patchwork squares blanket, it was one of my first videos, it has a lot of info about the blanket and a close up of how it's put together.

I see you're using Big Twist yarn. Have you had any issues when laundering it, as the label says NOT to machine dry? I've not purchased any due to the dry flat on the label. Just curious what your experience has been.
You know all the value yarns are saying those laundry instructions...can't imagine laying a blanket flat to dry!!!
I have no problems throwing it in the dryer, I just use the No Heat setting. Acrylic yarn is a man-made fiber, and it's plastic, that's why they say no dryer, it'll melt the fibers. I'll do a video about washing and drying and laying flat to dry. I had a blanket that was dried on High Heat and it melted and fused the fibers together, it's horrible but it can happen. I'll show you an alternative to laying flat to dry. Hope this helps?
