Thank you, I'm a person who have a desire to cook serve my community here in Northern California, I tried to run a catering business before back in 2003, it didn't last long but, it didn't kill the dream, but, it put a big holding period on going back to it again. Now I'm dreaming again and times have changed since then and I realized shortly I don't have a clue on how to start, I don't know what my niche is etc, all I've ever gotten from people is oh how I'm such a good and how I should open up my own catering company. I went out buying and spending money I don't have thinking I can do this again but quickly realizing I I have the resources nor have a clue on how to run a catering company. I have my own home I thought about using my kitchen but, watching on TH-cam how to run a catering company I came out a big stop and loss on money so I’m starting from scratch thank you so much for your pointers on what it takes and what it took you to get your business off the ground. I am by myself with this adventure and you gave me good pointers on to connect myself with different businesses that are already established
Denver! Man, I just visited there recently and I have been debating about whether or not I can see myself there long term. Do you think Denver is a good place for vegan-based catering? I'd actually love to talk with you about your experience there. If you're willing to share! All-in-all, thank you for an amazing video.
My favorite tip was how to get your own commercial kitchen space. I never would have thought to look for kitchens-for-lease from existing restaurants and bars.
I would have never thought to look either, the shared kitchen Im using now had an ad outside their establishment. Now we can see that this is an avenue folks can take when starting up and have little funds. I called cloudkitchen.com yesterday (an Uber concept) and they charge $4,500 per month for a private kitchen. They are rapidly growing with sites in LA, Chicago and In Q1 they are opening in like 5 more markets. However I believe that communities of color and folks with low incomes will find it difficult to secure one of these locations due to its high startup cost.

Where do you recommend sourcing your produce and food orders? Also takeout containers? Do you recommend Restaurant Depot?

Seems like it’s even worth scanning Craigslist for these opportunities
Great video
