Could not agree more, that`s why I owned two, 1976...proddy race, 40mm carbs,straight-cut c/r g/box, un-linked brakes, Pirelli Phantoms etc, it ate the GPZ900r brigade for breakfast...and a 1978 wreck I bought from a mate for £280, had to fetch it from IOM after he hit a sheep there during 1980 TT week. I owned a 1985 Moto Guzzi Lemans IV, original everything. One of the most beautiful sounding bikes ever, beat only by a BSA Gold Star that my uncle built out as a flat tracker. Met friends for coffee in Harvard Square one weekend. Two Moto Guzzi Lemans 1's, my Lemans IV, a Norton Commando, and a couple of older Ducatis. When we left for our ride to a motorcycle show I'm fairly certain that alarms went off :-)

@@JessicasMotorWorld None, unfortunately. I had a daughter and motorcycle ownership was off-limits, due to a previous accident. However, my uncle has raced and built flat track racers for decades, and, among others, he has an old KR-750 I'm itching to ride.

If that is the shaft drive one I rode that one in woods hole cape cod in the late 1970's. Amazing pickup and handling but that sound is pure nostalgia.

I am so hoping Guzzi uses the V85 platform to come out with a sport model. A Le Mans has so much heritage, an S model could work too. Imho, no better sounding bike ever. And my prior best was a Norton Commando.
