This was my first ever stop motion to see in my childhood, back then (2007, i was 7) i didn't know anything about models and i thought they were rc models. Since then my crane obsession have go to the max. And here was where it started. Thank you master!

I've seen many construction stop motions and this is by far the beast quality one I've seen. I always go back to this video when I refer people to a proper stop motion. Great work. Cheers
thats like $5K worth of the coolest toys ever... Found this crane model on a website that was selling 1:87 transport trucks. Figured there had to be a youtube vid and sure enough! here i am. Cool vid =)

Looks like one i saw some years ago on a safety video about crane collapse.one called big blue lifting a stadium roof on. All i get to play around is Demags on the site i work on.had the 1600 tonne on site to lift a 23tonne concrete beam 103 m from the thing. thanks for posting.will send to all friends

Very well done, mate you have a way with making the model world come to life, understanding that your abilities are more than a hobby, if you were outside or on a sand bed for real life background scenery, it would be hard to know the difference at times. Your animations skills are good and one day we will see a Short film with your skills behind them. Great hobby indeed. Good job. I saw years ago the Manitowoc 21000 for sale, but didn't buy and now it's hard to find.
i made one of these big cranes... i think it was manitowac MAX-ER 2000 on model 2250. i made it from matches and toothpicks and glue. it was 1.5m high and it really works!
my dad sells manitowac and link belt cranes and excavators. his business also adopted the liebherr line recently... link belt is Rexco's crane cash cow so they only went with the liebherr loaders, excavators and scrap handlers.

Amazing. Wow, well done. A very nice piece of animation. Dordtrecht (nog een Hollander hier?) said it for me: one of the best videos on TH-cam. It shows clearly what a load of work it is to erect such a crane, no matter that it's only a scale animation. And it also shows houw TH-cam was ment to be.
@mizmixer He's talking about making the bottom pins at the butt and 1st section. You would have had to swing the assist rig right about 10ft. and re-rig the 1st section. Awesome vid. Made me homesick.

That red crane appears to be a Manitowoc 555 crane . DHS Diecast sells this model online i think and they do deliver it in the states if im not wrong.
