With regard to you question: (1) you are right that LOA varries from institution to institution. Sometimes it is indicated in your LOA when to pay for the initial payment or even the required payment for you TF. Whatever instruction in your LOA, I suggest to comply on it. (2) you can defer depending on your preferable intake but make sure that your school is informed and also ask them if the program will also be available on your preferred semseter.

What I suggest is to get a letter from school indicating that you need to be present in Canada while studying. Also, as per IRCC, international students should also comply what the airlines’ guidance and protocols. So it means that, if your chosen airline requested you to provide a document like Auth Letter from school, you need to comply or else you’ll be offloaded.

iAM RDN i took 2 programs. When I applied in the Phils., I already indicated that I will be taking 2 programs and luckily, the visa that was given to me was for 2 years already.

iAM RDN yes, I only have 1 acceptance letter for 2 programs. The time that I applied to my school, I already request to provide acceptance letter for the 2 programs and they provided it. I also indicated in the Letter of Explanation about the 2 programs that I will be taking.
I just only paid for 1st semester. For you to get 2 programs in 1 LOA, upon applying to your DLI, indicate with your application that you are planning to study for 2 programs. But the program will still depend on the school if it will be open or not and it will depend on the school if they allow you to provide 2 programs in your LOA.

I have just received the biometric letter from IRCC but the biometric collection place is temporarily closed due to COVID-19. since my class begins in September 15 2020, my question is that will I be able to get a temporary study permit? Or is the biometrics mandatory, to get a study permit?? This is because the biometric collection place will open in September 30. Maybe I won't be able to give the biometrics before that date. But my class will begin in September 15.
Fatimah Islam there is a new guideline for you to continue studying. And most probably, you’ll do it online classes. So it means to say that you can still attend you online class while waiting for the biometrics.

Hello po. Sabi nyo makakapag aral pa din kahit wala student visa kaso baka makaapekto sa pagkuha ng pgwp. How about kapag to be follow yung student visa. Makakaapekto pa din ba yun?
If you decide to do study without the visa, it is just considered an online program. So in that case, you won’t be given a PGWP. Upon continuing your program, you MUST have a student visa.
Not sure if IRCC will give you SP in that case. September intake will be your preferred class. Your student status will definitely base on the approval of IRCC. If you don’t have SP, you need to defer your program.
