Great review! I have a 24 RDX Aspec Advance and I love it. Touch Pad is easy enough to use and you also have voice commands for navigation, music playback, etc. Far as performance and handling, it's pretty great on the twisty roads in Sport mode and a very comfy highway cruiser in Comfort mode. Sound system is awesome as well. I'm very happy with it overall!
Acura is one company that does not listen to its consumers. No one asked for black door handles or a new grill. Rims are cheesy looking too compared to the previous year. All we wanted was for the trackpad to be gone and probably get a digital cluster, but that would have been too much for them to do. If this brand keeps going in this direction, they will lose customers fast
It’s nearing the end of its life. The next gen car will have a touchscreen and an evolution of Acura styling, probably inspired by the Performance EV Concept.

Hi Joe. Thanks for the great review. I’m a big fan of Acura. My father in law owned an Acura Legend. My dad had a TL. I had a 2009 TSX w/tech pkg. I now have a 2019 TLX with V6. My wife has a 2016 RDX Advance pkg with V6 (AWD). We take very good care of our vehicles. I enjoy watching vehicle reviews on YT. As we are watching, we talk about if the upgrades or redesigns are worth the $$$. For this 2025 RDX, they missed the mark for me on several counts. The price ($56K), the tiny screen, 4 cylinder, gauge cluster needs to be 100% digital and amazing. I’m looking forward to the time when auto manufacturers go back to exciting / fun colors. This gray gray gray is dull!!!
Have a 2022 Advance. Great fun drive. The turbo 4 is a pretty good engine. Considered a 350 NX before taking the plunge. The RDX was much more fun to drive.
Honda also doesn’t have LED turn signals on the Pilot. It’s weird. These Acura lighting elements are probably super expensive and it doesn’t make sense to update them before a new generation (they didn’t same with the TLX and MDX). Besides, 99.9% of people buying this car probably don’t know even know or care.
Center stack is too busy for me, with mode knob and gear selector. And Lexus NX has stupid door latches. Lol ! Thanks Joe and Steven for the anti- rain dance 🕺

Also for over 60,000 you should be getting a v6 engine the hell with that turbo small engine crap what do you do after the turbo wears out at 80,000 miles pay 7,000 to replace it.
I had a 2021 A spec, very comfortable seats and amazing ELS sound system, well built suv to keep. The bad; Gas in city was 19 mpg, insurance is more expensive than competitors and the headlights seem to oxidize fast due to the design exposed to the sun from above.

Joe, a very good review as usual. I'm disappointed with Acura on the new 25 RDX. No Power Telescoping/lift Steering wheel Again!! I have the TTIP in my 22 MDX Advance - after over 3 years (on a lease extension until Feb 25) I still can't get used to it. With the changes they made to full screen in AA or CP, does the new system still cutoff the center Console USB port. Mine does. so, if you are in AA mode, You can't play Flash Drives ?? Forces me to Stream Music (or play the radio). Luckily I have the HUD in my MDX, that eases some of the pain and I really should play with the ShortCut Icon which selects Fav things you do, like play Sirius Radio. BTW, did Acura take out the Sirius/XM radio like they did in the 25 MDX? At $56K , One could get the new 25 Mazda CX-70, Premium Plus Turbo S model - more room, much more HP & Torque than the RDX, and at least it's a Touchscreen in AA or CP mode. I think many people were looking forward to a Acura Sport Hybrid in the RDX - that would be a Big Winner.

It feels nice and weird to see the same car in 2025 model, same engine, same infotainment system with annoying touchpad, you get used to it but at the end it's still sucks, same body style, except the grill, same headlights and they even kept the bulb in the rear. They claim 22 mpg city and 27 highway, this is total fake. getting 20 mpg combined after few long trips and it's normal, it was 18-19 when I was taking kids to school. This car needs a restyle for sure but MPG would be my major issue. Hope it's as reliable as they say.
Joe, 2 1/2 years ago I watched your review on RDX Aspec ADV. When one finally came in March of 2022 I bought one at Maus Acura and have never regretted getting it. The car is still fun to drive. Yes the team at Maus Acura is great From Albert to the rest of the staff. Never had one issue that wasn’t fixed or resolved in a timely matter. I do like how the phone charger is up by cup holder now. With it below center console, I can’t tell you how many times I left my phone in the suv.
Love this car I have the 2019 tech package version but man I paid 40 grand for that thing. This is becoming ridiculous almost 60 grand for this. This is RX territory here. Just go to RX at that point. They need to understand there should be a certain ceiling for the price on such a compact SUV that doesn’t have near the luxury and name plate of Lexus.
I dont understand why Android Auto and Apple Carplay only takes up the whole screen in 2025, why couldnt this have been done in 2022... Secondly, honestly what the hell is that third portion with no camera? The reverse camera and allaround should look way better than this by now By now the model should have updates based on what ppl complained about in the years before

Wish they would of went with Bang & Olufsen system like my ZDX
Acura keeps missing the ball with the RDX. 😢
Raitis ride could u do a review on 2025 nissan rogue but the base model please
I will get that together for you!
Driving 2021 RDX Advanded and I love the ride and dynamics on 2 liter turbo, beautiful brown interior with wood.
Thanks for sharing that great ownership input.
No extra tire space?
When the is Acura ADX coming out??
Had the 2020 RDX and 2022 RDX A-Spec. Was ready for the 2025 redesign, huge disappointment, so I passed on the RDX this time, and went with the ZDX.
Me & My Family Have A 2016 Acura MDX That We’re Taking To Leave In Mexico I Think This December👍🏻👏🏻🚙💨🇲🇽!!!
They should brought back a 3.0 liter V6 TYPE S LIKE THE MDX AND TLX
It’s exactly the same as last year
Joe, 2 1/2 years ago I watched your review on RDX Aspec ADV.
That is so fantastic to hear! Thank you for letting me share it all with you!
I have to say that while it has more space than the nx the non touch screen in a 56k car is a no go for me. Especially when the crv has one.
What about type-s anything???
My goodness it’s time for Acura to redesign this SUV!!
I still think it looks good
I dont understand why Android Auto and Apple Carplay only takes up the whole screen in 2025, why couldnt this have been done in 2022... Secondly, honestly what the hell is that third portion with no camera? The reverse camera and allaround should look way better than this by now
By now the model should have updates based on what ppl complained about in the years before
This looks so outdated 😔😔. Needed a redesign a while ago.
I think you may be right!
Joe, when will the 2025 Lexes IS300 be out in dealerships?
That is a great question, I will try to find out for you!
@@RaitisRides 👍
I actually think the current (2024) grill is better looking than this new one; I do like the fact they make Apple play to be the full screen
That is a nice touch for sure!
