if you have a concrete pad you if you were inclined to put anchors (tie down) points . when I was a kid the was a small tornado that went through our mobile home park it did a lot of damage there were minor injuries after that the town added Tie downs for all motile homes and sheds over a certain size to town building codes chain or cable had to be through concrete and in ground at least 24 inches
Glad yall were spared Beryl’s wrath. In laws in Alice and Portland were thankful for the turn. Our family in Houston felt the impact via high winds and ensuing power outage, but thankfully only minor property damage.
I was watching this video on my Smart TV but once I noticed that you’re going to be hit by a hurricane so I jump on I-Phone. Stay safe and I will pray for all people that will be affected by the storm.
I got a lot of rain and a few instances of the power cutting out for a few seconds during the hurricane. It just rained again night before last until around noon yesterday, and our pond was overflowing. It's still full to the brim, which means it'll be a while before we can mow certain spots in the yard, which were already on hold from previous wet weather.
Glad to hear from your other comment that there was no damage. When you were talking about towing with the Ram, and mentioned the payload and tongue weight numbers, it definitely makes you realize just how quickly you eat up payload. 500lbs may seem like a lot to some, but throw in 2 adults, a child/their carseat. Or even better, 2 kids who are maybe a bit older, and you eat through a large chunk of that 500lbs really quick- and that's not including any gear you may have in the truck. Lot of people don't realize just how quickly those numbers can get eaten up.
Transporting propane tanks on their side is perfectly ok, as long as they are secured properly. You should never use them while lying on their side, as you would be drawing liquid instead of gas.
You should have built a bigger building. One never is big enough lol. Hope you faired well with no damage. I love my NG Generac whole house 22kw generator.
Those scary Larry pickles look good! Thanks for sharing the storm preparations. Hurricanes are weird-years ago one came through Houston through central Kentucky. A family member is Houston had some extra leaves in his yard that he mowed up-we needed a new roof from the wind damage here. Sometimes you just never know what to expect.
Hurricanes, I don’t like them. I counted up the hurricanes I actually went through either at home or onboard a boat where I was either a deckhand or later on captain. It totaled 7. Then I counted the ones that came close enough for major effects were felt. That came to 8 with Camille being the first I remember. Living on the Gulf Coast I can’t even fathom how many tropical storms I have encountered. Word of advice. Take precautions! Better to be prepared than be found lacking. JMO
I will say prayers for you and your family also for Texas for your safety and little or no damages
Actually, when this was filmed the storm hadn't hit, but it's already passed and did no damage.
@@BTBRVReviews that's good

Good tips! Did you consider using zip ties to secure the awning arms, or is that unnecessary?
