You remind me of a lovely neighbor who lived behind us when I was a child. She was always so busy in her yard and kitchen and would invite my sister and me over to help with her chores. We were in 7th heaven! Her name was Mrs. Harrison, and although I’m 62, memories of our times together lies sweetly in my heart.💕
You make my heart so happy; it is difficult to put into words...thank you and your family for all the lovely inspiration and warming kindness that each of you exude.
Kate’s content is always so honest and wholesome, and at a pace of life that we can relate to. My life would certainly be poorer had I not come across her & her lovely family.
Yes it is difficult to put into words how Kates followers feel about her.. I feel she’s a friend I’ll never meet , but have got to know, bless you Kate x
Kate, you came in to my life quite by accident and I have now watched many of your videos. Watching you benefits me in so many ways. I love your voice, it is so peaceful and comforting. I love the size of your heart, you are so loving and generous. Agnes quilt is a work of loving stitches. You inspire me to be a better person all around. Thank you
Thank you, Kate, for the breath of fresh air you bring to us every week. I identify with you for many reasons. Perhaps most importantly, you remind me that I can make a difference in this harsh world by being me and sharing my gifts and passions with others. You do that so beautifully. Thank you!
Oh, Kate. I just adore everything you do! With all the craziness going on in the world it is so calming and such a joy to watch you going about your day creating beautiful and useful things with kindness, gentleness and love. You are my hero/heroine! Also, I think your clothing style is great! I’m serious! When you walked into your greenhouse I just thought how cool you looked. I always love how you dress and wear your hair. You’re the best! Thank you for being you and sharing your world with us. ❤
Your vertigo must be well behind you if you’re climbing tall ladders! Good to see you so well and smiling. Thank you for a really positive happy film. Xx
Yes I must agree with The Wolf that Could. You are amazing Kate . I truly enjoy watching your show. Even if it’s just to listen to your voice as I go about my day .
A little bit of gardening... a little bit of sewing... a little bit of fairy lighting..... and a couple of cuppas..... pure contentment... Whilst you were sewing away I envisaged Agnes in later years watching all the stages of Nanna making her quilt... and all the love that went into it.
Your video is so full of joy! First in your greenhouse planting seedlings and enjoying the sunshine with a cup of tea! Then into your sewing area for a new design board cover! Love it!
Kate you have that ability to make choosing & planting seeds such a delight & inspiration to want to do it ( I only grow flowers) too small a garden for vegetables & not had success in the past Thank you for sharing your day 👍

It’s so good to see you my dear friend! It’s just great to see how you love what you do. Demonstrating mindfulness in action for us all! I have similar days, I’m a grandmother of two boys and just love creating gardens for them to see as well as making so many other things, and cooking, painting, potting, sewing, knitting and writing too. I think the crafts are so important especially during these uncertain Covid times. Being in the moment, creating and bringing some joy into each day. It’s just so great to see your videos, thankyou for sharing, inspiring and bringing joy Kate! 🙏🏻🌿🌟💐
I got so busy yesterday on Easter Sunday, that I totally forgot to watch Kate! 🥺 But as always, even a day later the chat is so inviting and comfortable. Loved all the plantings you're doing. Can hardly wait to see them as they grow. 🥒🥕🌺🥀🌼🌱Recovering the design board looked so easy. When my hubby put mine up, he screwed it into the wall; so no sliding it out and redoing it for me....but it's still in good shape. I love your twinkling lights and the sounds of the birds at night. Hope you and yours had a good Easter Sunday as well.
What a day, brining spring lights and plant delights for the pixies, tackling tasks on the long finger a great cup of tea (or two or three) and sewing love into a quilt.
What a lovely celebration of spring hopes with seeding, new design board covering, starry lights on your pavilion, and stitching by the fire. Lovely. Thanks, Kate!
I always enjoy your videos. I noticed this time and I’ve noticed before whenever you are hand stitching (and petting your cats) you get a lovely peaceful look on your face. I know that nice feeling when your hands are busy and your mind is free. Thanks
There's something so wonderful about the promise of Spring in the garden and sprucing up both indoor and outdoor. Love your solar lights and the "new" design boards. I am so excited for you on getting the last section sewed to Agnes' quilt. 💝.
You have absolutely no idea how incredibly wonderful it is for me to watch your videos ….you have truly become a highlight in my days!! How very lovely you are..💜Thank you
That’s nice, you do enough things, your life is interesting enough that you can make videos of your days. You’re a very interesting busy person. Keep it up.
Wish I had enough space for a lovely design wall like that, once you have the quilt blocks u you don’t even see the split. The solar light look lovely on your arch. Have a great week, stay safe love and hugs xx
At the age of 66, I have found that finishing projects in one day can be so rewarding. I have long been one of those folks that "bite off more than I can chew" with projects. LOL. But, they get finished eventually.
“I’m wondering should I have started this job?” I so relate. I say that after I’ve initiated taking down wallpaper EVERY time. Your design wall looks perfect. I can see an advantage to having a center vertical marking! Well done!
My day has ended peacefully, as I watch your video. My cat ,Judge, is by my side. I look forward to seeing the paper come out of the hexagons. Thanks Kate!
I have a green house with the shelves. I had it in my house to start seeds last year. I need lights to add to it. I don't have a poly tunnel. That is a brilliant idea to add the shelves one inside. I've been wanting a greenhouse forever. Maybe I can get the husband to help me get one up. I love the stars on the pavilion too. How lovely.

We are in Autumn here in Australia. I love watching videos from the other side of the world at this time of the year because I can dream of getting through our winter…. I have a very small elevated box garden surrounded by chain link fence to keep the deer and rabbits out. I will go out and getting things organized soon. It is pouring rain in sheets today! Good to see you looking so well!
Kate, I loved watching you put a new cover on your design board, it does look good with a new cover on it. My husband made me one for my sewing room using a really large artist canvas board which he covered with a cheap batting which I got on sale. I had to take all of the loose threads of mine this morning, they accumulate on it so quickly. You look so cosy sitting and stitching by the fire. Take care.

🤗 I think the seam down the middle of your design board won’t bother you after awhile, you will get used to seeing it. I like the outdoor lights on the pavilion Kate! Take care.
I have read that every layer of covering over plants keeps them 5°F warmer (2+°C?) so putting the little greenhouses inside the hoop house is quite good protection. Just be sure to open everything up if you get a warm, sunny day! I loved seeing the design board recover. I don't think the join in the middle will bother you. Use it as a reference point! I love seeing someone my age making such nice videos. Hugs and Blessings from another Granny in South Dakota, USA.
Love the two new green “ toys” in the poly tunnel 😛 the new design boards and can’t wait to see when you remove all the papers from Agnes’s quilt. All the Best 💗💚
You have really inspired me Kate! I have made my design board and dragged out my hexie quilt I started last year. Hello Kate, I just came across the your The Last Homely House and truly am enjoying the respite from other TH-cam channels that seem to go on and on about the chosen craft. Your channel is chocked full of so many different crafts -- much like the way my mind works! I enjoy so many different crafts -- quilting, cross stitch, knitting, crocheting and many others that I would like to try. Also, you have taught me so much about how cats seem to want to be with their human family. My Zoey is a small cat that used to cause me some "fear" because she bit me quite often. For that reason, she spent quite a lot of time by herself. Now she wants to be with me, and since I spend time with her when she and I are both more calm, she sits on my lap and wants to be with me when I am alone. I love her dearly and I think she is as comfortable with me as I am with her.
Hi Kate & Company 💕 A big warm hug from a very snowy Yukon Territory in subarctic Canada! I love all your episodes & I’m so happy to be part of the Patreon end of crowd on the Lime Green Sofa. But I love this episode most of all. There’s something so lovely & cosy & ever so homely about it indeed! Thank you. xx
Another fun video with lots to see.🥰 The squeaking of styrofoam had my spine tingling, tho. Did anybody else on the LGS squirm and laugh, too? I enjoyed watching your design board's refreshing makeover.
Is it ever a little bittersweet to finish up a quilt top? I can't wait to see it completed, but I will miss it behind you too. Your design board is amazing.
Kate, I just loved being outside with you today. So lovely watching you getting ready for the gardening season. Sweet peas are my favorite flowers. The smell is so devine. Putting up lights in you pavilion was perfect. Glad you had Anna there to help with the design board. Hope your Easter Day was wonderful. Cheers
Was 🤔, "wonder if Kate's been busy in her polytunnel yet?" And...voila! Happy to see you out & about again. Are you able to drive again? Happy Easter all! 🐣
Great to spend Easter with you in the garden. Good work on your design board, leave the break in the boards, the vertical line will help keep blocks straight.
Loved that Kate, I found myself holding my breath when you went up the ladder to fix the lights up outside…your seeds grow so fast, great to get a good start..love the new board.xx
What a lovely surprise to see a TH-cam from our friend Kate on this Easter day. Working on a baby quilt for a friend; gardening was done earlier. Dying eggs soon. Hugs to you and yours!!
What Fun lights in the pavilion Kate! We enjoy tiny lights on our screen porch. I am jealous of your design board. I had one just like it in our last home. I don’t have room in our current home. I use the flannel side of a tablecloth as a temporary design board now. You definitely have a ‘green thumb’ for gardening Kate! Wish we could enjoy the Nighttime Stock floral scent with you. Happy Easter Kate & LHH family. ☀️🌷🐰🥕
Kate, great job with your design wall. I think that if you leave it the way it is, it will be helpful to keep block straight in both directions of the line as you put blocks on the design wall. That material is perfect.
This was such a relaxing video 😊 and I love the clean new look of your design board. Not that I had even noticed that it wasn't clean 😆 thx for taking us along on your days happenings ❤

I love this kind of videos. Just like the old ones. With no marketing. Thank you as I needed this today. So sweet.
The design board looks great as it!!! I use the back side of a plastic tablecloth - which has flannel on it for a design board
Is that what her fabric is--felt? I don't know what she means by curtain lining, but I know what felt is. Maybe the same thing?
@@margaretstanton7567 no, curtain lining is usually cotton
@@therobertsuk8498 I thought so, but how is cotton clingy enough to hold up her quilt pieces?

What a lovely surprise to see a TH-cam from our friend Kate on this Easter day. Working on a baby quilt for a friend; gardening was done earlier. Dying eggs soon. Hugs to you and yours!!
It’s so nice to be able to do a bit outside isn’t it. I love your lights, they will be so pretty, and very handy that they are solar!
... And the sounds of those birds 🐦 🕊🐝🦋🐛💐🪴🌱
Everything is looking good at the Last Homely House. I'm glad Anna came to help you.
What a peaceful, relaxing video, Kate. Your day is filled with many blessings.
Can't wait to see you planting your garden.❤
You have made my Easter Sunday a great day. Enjoyed being on your lime green couch today. 🌷🙋♀️
