  • A few months ago I moved, and some models didn't really enjoied the move.
This Scania r730 is one of them... so i had to refurbish it.
I'm quite happy with results, apart from the gloss... my cheap chinese air brush don't handle well large surfaces, so the clear on the cabin is quite dusty... :(

The paint result is stunning! Have you used any sort of templates / masking tape for the flames?
The "dusty" clear coat can be the result of the acrylic clear proper, if that is what you have used. On my experience, when applying clears, more important is the technique than the airbrush.
And, as usual, the final slide show is a joy to watch - your photographic skills are top notch.
    KUTGW!

naaa... no tape :D i'm lazy... i cut some curve forms from a piece of cardboard, and simply apply them on the model while brushing: 3 or 4 layers (white, some gray, red, and the final blue) to give some depth to the flames.
the clear is not acrylic :( is from alclad (crystal clear).
the fact is that my airbrush has only a 0.2 duse, so i've to spray with a lot of pressure to get some coverage.. that is pure overspray saddly.
on little pieces, i can manage to cover well, and the front bumper is quite reflective endeed, on larger pieces can't, and them come out foggy.
