    My dad likes to abuse me by saying that I need to build character and be a better person when he has never weightlifted once in his whole life. Meanwhile, I started ballet at 3 years old. Because I wanted to, not because my family wanted me to. They never want to see me succeed and resent whatever success I try to bring to myself. Heyyy do you think 1 or 2 cheat meals a week are bad???

    • @zuccmytoez2714
      @zuccmytoez2714 ปีที่แล้ว

      personally, i think it really depends. if you’re fully going ham and eating like 2,000+ calories per day on the weekend then it might skew your results and i feel like it’s related to a binge episode, which are not good and it’s a bad habit to get in to. i feel like if you eat “unhealthy” foods in moderation then you won’t feel the need to have those cheat days because essentially cheat days are fueling by your cravings and the longer you refuse those cravings, the more you’ll want them and then eat said food in large amounts, resulting in a binge episode, which again is a bad habit to get into. hopefully that makes some sort of sense haha

    I am most definitely doing all of these things and there is NO change in my body. I track and weigh basically every bite that I take, I am in a deficit 10000%, there is no way that I am not. Gym five times a week, killing myself every time. No change since January. None. Been on a weight loss ''journey'' for three years now and I just stopped getting any results in December/January. Dropped from 116 kg in 2019 to 75, gained back to 87-88 last February because I was literally starving myself, dropped down to 80-82 kg by December 2022, which is literally fucking nothing. People lose 7 kilo in two months time. My goal is 70 kg but it feels like I'm never going to reach that because no matter what I do, nothing seems to be changing for months, and even when it was, it was SO slow that it was unbearable.

    • @ameliedesai
      @ameliedesai  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      you need to EAT!! your body is most likely in starvation mode (trying to hold onto every bit of fat possible) because you have been in a deficit for so long. focus on fueling your body properly so your body feels safe enough to drop fat later. you’ve already come so far. please take care of yourself

      @annarocha3254 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mumijevi based on what you say your calorie intake is I would agree with Amelie. You need to fuel your body more than 1800 calories a day if you're working out rigorously five days a week.

      @@annarocha3254 based on absolutely every calculation i managed to find, my bmr is 1660 kcal. I will sometimes to up to 2000 kcal in a day, my maintenance is 2400 and I think I would gain weight if I started eating maintenance to be honest, if I'm not losing as 1800-2000.

    The fact that people mentally work in 'weeks' rather than months and years is the problem. The fit body that women want, takes YEARS of consistent training. All these 'get bikini ready in 6 weeks' videos are simply false advertising (especially when you factor in the fact that a large portion of the population are overweight to start with) - losing fat takes months - it took me a year to lose 2st, doing it sensibly. Building muscle takes years, not weeks. Most people expect 'results' after a few weeks and no wonder they lose heart and give up - no one is truly honest that all these fitness influencers have been training for years. It's not something they can sell to people - imagine an honest youtube video called 'it took me 6 years of training to acheive this body, and you can too!!!' - it just won't get the clicks. It's a depressing world out there that people want everything now.

I am prone to eating at night so have to curb this but no more than sandwich. Measurements going down. 23 under bustline. Im anorexic. People make triggering comments. You are still young to concentrate on a calorie deficit. Enjoy your favorite meals while you can. By the time you reach your twenties and thirties. You'll only be concerned about your health and well-being. Do not be those adults that eat fewer calories and do not want carbohydrates in their diet because they'll gain too much weight. As a male, I did low carb diet just so I can have abs. It worked for a while, but I was losing too much weight. I ended up in a hospital for a week.
