dirt track needs LOTS of grading, water, and packing, having trucks on it when its dry does nothing at all, love to see a dirt track come back best of luck! if you were closer i'd come fix it for you.
The segment you saw when they were compacting it with trucks and the drum roller was while it was "wet." We also have a huge water tank with a pump/sprayer to wet the track that's already been used.
It's not ready to put a kart on it, that's for sure. It's also a massive step towards it though.
Can't wait to see karts back in Superior!
We are aiming at it. As usual, it takes time and money. More to come 👍
So great to see the clay track coming back to life after being a pond for the last few years....Great job guys.
No kidding. It's amazing what good operators can do in a couple of days
Raced a lot of motorcycle dirt short-track back in the day, almost all those tracks are gone now. They used to be everywhere, raced every weekend.
Seeing a track this nice makes me want to dig out my steel shoe and have at it again.
Thanks!
Man I’m so pumped to see the clay track coming back. Can’t wait to see progress videos on it and see karts flying around it again. Gonna draw big crowds
I can’t believe that kart track is what it is now! I remember the video when you started pumping the water out of there and all the hidden treasures😂😂!!!
Ha, we found more hidden treasures too. You'd be amazed and what was under the clay silt 🤣
It's awesome seeing your vision come to life with this labor of love. Even better is the excitement building in the community!
It's very cool to see where things are today. It took all the blood, sweat, and tears you can imagine but we did it.
I'm thinking a vintage mini bike ...dirt track race !! That would be awsome!! 😊
Nice to see the dirt track getting ready for some action along with some updates to the main track also.
Was nice to see your son and your daughter wandering about . It seems like yesterday when your daughter was newly born . I still remember the pictures and the conversations about extra responsibilities and how hazy the future seemed . Glad you've come so far .
Time flies, that's for sure. I don't recognize you by your username. We must know each other?
@@Greenlightfilming No , we merely exchanged some comments back and forth . That rarely happens but , guess we "connected " a tiny bit . It's been awhile . I am 68 and have 5 grown kids and am minding my 3 grandkids . It's just that the birth of your daughter had triggered a conversation .
look at you out here moving and grooving and keeping the ol place going!
Awesome to see the big track still drawing attention and now the dirt track being restored should attract more people 🤞
Hopefully, they work hand in hand together. They are different worlds at the end of the day.
@@Greenlightfilming 🤞 hopefully everything works out you’ve been putting a lot of time and money into these facilities keep up the great work
Kewl that your Dad and company are jumping onboard to take the track in a additional direction, and broaden participation.
He's been a #1 supporter from day one. Love having him at the track
Wow!!! So great to see all the progress! It's nothing sort of amazing.
Congratulations, you've brought so much back to the community, and the results are spectacular!
All the best,
M-
Thanks for the kind words! It's crazy seeing the transformation over the years. It's been a great space for motorheads to commune, that's for sure. Appreciate you patronizing the page! Thank you 👍
What about some dirt bike action as well in the clay area? that would be awesome to see. Make some interesting racing to say the least.
UK viewer here. You should be really proud of what you have achieved with the track, it's looking amazing.
Thanks for watching from abroad! It always blows my mind when people chime in that watch from overseas. It's really cool.
Watching from Belgium, it´s always been a (naïeve) dream of mine to open a MX track, but instead they are all closing down...not a lot of space here in our little country and lots of pressure by the "nature lobby"... so I´m living it thru your video´s!! Keep it at man, all the luck!!!@@Greenlightfilming
It's about time you're back, I was worried this place had been re-abandoned 😆
Super excited to see the dirt track come back to life! Wow! That looks like a high quality clay material! It is amazing to see how far you have brought this facility. "We all know the dirt is never in the right place". Great quote! I'm going to have to use that one!
Karting is super cool and introduces a ton of people to racing. Lake Speed, ex NASCAR driver is still karting often.
100% agreed. Locally we have a popular dirt (clay) series on oval tracks that are very popular with drivers. Many of them started out karting at this exact property.
@@Greenlightfilming Interesting. You are helping to keep interest among the younger generation with a safe place to race a kart. The transformation is unbelievable, not just the dirt track but the entire facility. I hope it becomes a very popular place and that you can start paying off the debt this venture has made.
Good to see the dirt track dry
Good work man, great to see the passion you have for getting the tracks together. Wishing you all the success
I love the subtle nod to Carlos 3 wheeling it after his run haha. Track is looking great and I'm excited to see more content about it!
Ha, if you know, you know. Don't want to make a big deal out of it. Could happen to anyone 🤣
Great work amazing what you have created here since your vey first video post . Excellent .created something special for your community
The dirt track could be good for mini sprints that use 4 cylinder motorcycle engines. The place is looking really nice.
Great to see you Mr Greenlight! Dirt track is looking great! Need some dirt cart racing!! 💯🤘🏁
cant wait to see the dirt track with carts on it!!!! also would be amazing to see carts on the asphalt, Maybe a dirt/asphalt combo weekend for carts?
What i hear consistently from the karting folks is that running on asphalt does 10x more wear and tear on things. Nobody seems interested in doing it on the existing asphalt oval.
Another great track installment, can't wait to see when the dirt track resto is fully done! Your Dad appears very keen on it too haha. I have to say that the drone shots in the opening sequence were sick, really enjoyed that. Keep up the great work mate!!
Congratulations on the progress on living your dream. Additionally, thanks for sharing it with us.
A dirt track diversifies property for all kids of stuff from dirt bikes to modifieds. Nice!
Great catch up on the track restoration. Looking better and better every time.
Fantastic upday really is coming together now with both tracks. Well done
while dirt karts are usually see the bottom more than any other lane, i do like how it appears that turns 1-2 of the dirt track seem just wider than 3-4, someones gonna try to slide up there more to get that run into the next corner and it should produce some bangers
Awesome vid! Thanx! Wow, that ole pond sure is looking like a racetrack!
Raked, Rolled & Ready to Go 🚗
Growing up in Duluth i always wanted to get into racing. Unfortunately at the time all there was around is Proctor and Superior Speedways. Both which you needed full body v8 cars. I always heard about the karting track but never saw it in person. A good friend of mine used to race Outlaw Karts there in the mid 2000s and won multiple championships and a ton of races. Cant wait to see a race in person, hell i might get a kart together!
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Been waiting for this part since you bought the track! And i'll be here for when you open the WAY back and add the rally track. This whole project is so damn cool!!
Ha, that's a whole other can of worms to open 🤣. Right now we are doing what we can with what we have. There's not an infinity pool of cash to draw from, so I try and manage everyone's expectations.
@@Greenlightfilming your doing great man! One thing at a time and each project hopefully can fund the next. Love to watch the progress. Hope this dirt track starts to pack in even more people.
Would the dirt track be large enough to host motorcycle tracker races?
That’s such good clay to race on. Greasy as hell when it’s wet. Lol
It's some very nice clay lol, kind of amazing how "clean" it is when you scoop it with equipment.
Wow amazing work ❤❤❤
Have you thought of reaching out to the Land O Lakes Region of SCCA to see if they would want to host an auto cross at the event? They’d be responsible for setting everything up, and you could just take in the money and hope they don’t hit anything
Hard work does pays off!
Great progress !
Nice to see you back on
Happy to be able to share an update. Been very busy this summer with real life, so TH-cam/editing videos takes a back seat.
❤ Dirt!
Hi Brian I want to back to the track sometime and help out but not like an auto cross just some random day I also LOVE auto cross and helping out I’m exited for the rallye this August too
The dirt track looks like it has good clay. A little advice always run the track in backwards . It will pack it in better so the karts dont tear it up so easily.
That's interesting. I will send the info to the guys that are running the karting side of things. I'd imagine this is something they know, but you never know.
Thanks for the tip 👍
@@Greenlightfilming even alot of dirt stock car or sprint car tracks do it
FINALLY that small area got paved!!!!!!! Just think, $20 a bucket for sealer at Menards x what, 40-50 buckets to seal that entire area is almost what you paid for the paved area. I think it will be a very welcomed improvement!!!
You need to bring out The WORLD OF OUTLAWS to thr finished clay track!
Okay. One can drem big, right?
What a great intro! Wonder whos gonna wise up and buy that bar/restaurant out by the road.
You're doing The Lord's Work giving people new tracks to race on
can you expand the track . make it larger so u can run more cars and have more space on the track ?
He probably could, but as he mentioned pavement is really expensive, then he would need to build new barriers, insurance probably would need to be "renewed/changend" with big changes to the track and so on. I think there are many other steps to adress before expanding it. After all it has been a kart track.
What a nice song!!! Love from Slovenia!
Wow is all I can say. Can't wait to finally get up there
I’m guessing all the competing vehicles arrive and leave on their own power and are road legal? No trailers? Have to appreciate that.
Yes, 99.9% of the vehicles are 100% road legal that have been on the track. Most cars that are trailered are done so because of the distance the owners travel.
Hate to break down 4hrs from home.
Was the drainage permanently fixed on the dirt track? How was that managed?
There's a sump pump in a basin like you may have in your home. There's no gravity drainage.
@@Greenlightfilming so, lose power in a major storm and it could fill back in some again….??
The tracks are so small.
It's crazy, almost like they were built for go karts or something
the dirt track looks like a go kart track.
We're BACK with a big track update! If you'd like to take part in supporting BRMP and help us continue to operate, please check out our merchandise link here: black-river-motorsports.creator-spring.com/
Every single penny that comes into the track, gets reinvested into the track. Thanks for watching today's video!
So good to see, I've been subbed since before you brought the place, so enjoy the progress.
Hi I’m chads kid
