Nova was signed to Def Jam years ago, before they stabbed her in the back. If you replace "Hey You" with "Yo, Def Jam" her message becomes very clear. The piano is Def Jam's and shows up in Tom's music too, "Angels" and "I Don't Drink".
Nova is alt-rock meshed with hip hop/alternative rap. Avril is alt-rock meshed with commercial pop. I can see why you would see the similarity yet the difference at the same time.
She was actually signed by DEF jam and they screwed her over and wanted to change her, stole her beats and her music and her moneyThey would not respond to her so she sent them a box of dead crickets so she would get fired. She went though depression just like Tom. They are like to come back couple so proud of them ......hog 4/life
