Lauren and Danny performed a lot together in 1985, Some weird guy Sean who was obsessed with Lauren actually poison Dannys drink Before a big concert they were having to boost Lauren. At the time people wondered if Danny would be able to sing anymore
Absolutely, she represents 3 groups of people you don't see much on soaps, older woman interested in younger main (Cane), plus size attractive woman and a truly sweet soul. I would love to see her in a real story line with a romance, I her the actor who plays Cane is leaving, I hope she stays and finds love and soap trials and tribulations for many years to come. I relate to her character as I am older, plus size and lost my only child and I try my best to be a good person. Maybe if she falls in love and finds happiness, maybe just maybe I'll believe it could happen to me. 🌻
I agree with it , like totally . I was a Y&R fan for many years, lost interest. I remember when I was newly married, living in the South, all it took was the Federal Building in Texas to interrupt my soap, and I just don’t watch them anymore.
PaisaEsteban So do I. It reminds me of the jazzy theme song they used for the primetime (evening) special which they later used for the actual daytime serial.
PaisaEsteban I don’t own the clip but I found the opening theme song here on TH-cam. Listen and tell me if it was not influenced by this cover. It’s all in the saxophone riff. th-cam.com/video/jvBcNSWdoyU/w-d-xo.html
@@rexjdk Have they had a scene together since Brad Married Tracy. After that they put all of Danny’s attention on Chris. I can’t believe they never considered getting Danni and Tracy back together Tracy and Phyllis would make great rivals
I think I remember this , I watched a lot of Y&R as a teenager, my mom and I would make it a point to watch. When I’d come home from school I’d ask about the “ new update “ on Genoa City . It was our “ thing “ , and I had the biggest crush on Danny
OMG! How fun was that? I almost forgot Lauren & Traci were local rock stars alongside Gina Roma back in the 80’s. Funny, this song reminded me ALOT of the jazzy 90’s theme used for the primetime Y&R special. I wonder if it inspired the writers who created it.
PaisaEsteban Years ago there was a Y&R primetime special that introduced a new modern theme song that was jazzy just like this song Gina, Traci & Lauren are singing in this clip. Here’s the link to the jazzy primetime version. Tell me if you can hear the similarities: th-cam.com/video/jvBcNSWdoyU/w-d-xo.html
hotgritz4sho I remember the jazzy opening from December 1999 to 2003. I see some similarities between the 2. Since their last primetime episode was in 1998, I guess the special primetime opening would have predated the new 1999 opening. I would LOVE to see the special primetime opening credits and even one of these famous primetime episodes.
Is this really Traci singing tho? 😱She was my fave character before Drucilla arrived on the canvas. Loved her fights with Lauren, especially that classic catfight in the hospital lounge over Brad!!!
I might of been a teenager or 20 years old during this period. I remember Traci, Danny & Lauren singing a Chicago song. Might have been “Hard Habit to Break”, or similar. Lauren also was mean to Traci during this era and didn’t want her in the group due to her size, etc. Danny had a soft spot for Traci, plus she was a good singer, so got to stay.
My mother was a Y and R fan. I saw some of these concert episodes when I didn't have school or I got home from school early. This footage looked a little familiar. I think there was a segment where Traci, Lauren and Gina acted out a role play. They were demonstrating to women how to politely turn down a man when they made an advance at them. Was it from this episode?
THE GOOD OLD DAYS... when the soaps were fun and entertaining
I didn't know Traci & Lauren could sing! Good for them!
Lauren and Danny performed a lot together in 1985, Some weird guy Sean who was obsessed with Lauren actually poison Dannys drink Before a big concert they were having to boost Lauren. At the time people wondered if Danny would be able to sing anymore
They can't, but Gina definitely could sing; Patty Weaver was an amazing singer!
Traci is one of the most decent characters on the show. It's such a shame they don't give her a storyline.
so true

Why did they never try to get her and Danny back together. I couldn’t stand cricket
@@zt1053 because cricket (Christine) is Lauralee bell her family would write her character with who ever she wanted
I think Traci was one of the writers for the show and probably just wanted to have a smaller role in it
Those were the days Danny Gina Traci Lauren Cricket And Nina.
Back when there was fun in Genoa City. Now the characters and storylines are all so serious.
I agree with it , like totally . I was a Y&R fan for many years, lost interest. I remember when I was newly married, living in the South, all it took was the Federal Building in Texas to interrupt my soap, and I just don’t watch them anymore.
i remember Traci and Lauren scrapping.......good stuff.
LOVED the saxophone riff!

hotgritz4sho Someone else mentioned this jazzy theme that was used for the primetime special, but I've never seen it. Do you happen to have it?

hotgritz4sho Oh yes, I remember this opening. Wish somebody would post the original aired from the primetime specials.
WOW, I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS WAYYYYYYY BACK..... I LOVED LAUREN...
I wish we still had stuff like this on this show! So fun!!
Danny Romalotti was Traci Abbott's first serious significant other.
I keep hoping thy will bring them both back full time and put them back together.
@@rexjdk oh yes .
@@rexjdk Have they had a scene together since Brad Married Tracy. After that they put all of Danny’s attention on Chris. I can’t believe they never considered getting Danni and Tracy back together Tracy and Phyllis would make great rivals
Lauren hasn't age, she still looks the same
Hahaha...snort...gasp 🤣
I didn't really that these three lovely ladies sang this song is so beautiful
Great Memories**
Yes THIS IS WHEN YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS WAS FUN AND EXCITING THEY WERE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
I think I remember this , I watched a lot of Y&R as a teenager, my mom and I would make it a point to watch. When I’d come home from school I’d ask about the “ new update “ on Genoa City . It was our “ thing “ , and I had the biggest crush on Danny

hotgritz4sho I never knew Y&R had a different opening credits for its primetime special. Do you have it?

This is a remake of a hit song by the group, the Boys Club: "I Remember Holding You"
So wonderful to see these celebrities reconnect❤
I remember this!
My God these girls were HOT!! 🔥🔥🔥. Lauren was my favorite!!!
Is this really Traci singing tho? 😱She was my fave character before Drucilla arrived on the canvas. Loved her fights with Lauren, especially that classic catfight in the hospital lounge over Brad!!!
I believe so. All three ladies have beautiful voices.
I miss these days...the show is done so differently now...
I Remember Holding You, original cover by 1988 Boys Club
Cute ❤😊
Gina is very sexy in this video. Poor Lauren really had no business trying to sing with these women.

Who wrote these songs Beth Maitland she is so talented
It's sort of a half-song, although I like the harmonies.
Does anyone have the video where he sings "Against All Odds" as a duet with Lauren?
I never knew Nina could sing
She didn’t. She was attending the concert.
Were they all singing??
Yes
Sorry Travis was BORING..but ye most descents...only thing good about these stupid performances was..their hair
