- another day, another sorc struggle. this build is honestly being carried by andariel's. When you fight a pit boss you need to let it kill you first to reduce the total health it has. This is sorc. Stack Vulnerable to scale both the poison and the Chain lightning. Flame Shield is semi useless now. Need ice armor spam and double lightning spear casts to scale damage.
If you take off Andariels, you really feel the struggle. The damage is not scaling well. New Vyr's is fine tho tbh.

Hoping that dmg output is with garbage gear and affixes. With frozen orb near perfect gear my lows hitting for 2.2m highs 4.4m. This is no where near it. They cherry pick what to buff with sorc is painful, but barbs they just say fk it take all the hp, dmg, dr , aspects buff like he is the weakest!. And everytime I see some barb vid blitzes pit 130+, im kinda confused why they nerfed fractured winter glass ?

That was way too efficient. Definitely getting a 50% damage nerf just like the Orb build this season. Also, 100% barb getting another buff, they are too squishy and dont do enough damage 🥂
This looks sick, but for being the "super op mega buffed" ability for Sorc next season this is laughable. Also yet another build where mana makes or breaks the build. Blizzard is incapable of just letting Sorcs have fun.

The God of…I mean Lord of Thunder Build lmao. This is probably the Thunder Apprentice build base on the performance. Damage needs 300% buff across the board for any Sorc build.
Or everything else needs 99% nerf.
It looks like it feels like you are a god of thunder as you run around killing mobs with this. It looks really cool. The problem is that the classes are so incredibly imbalanced in their damage output and survivability. I’ve never seen a game with such terrible class balance.
We found a bug in the pit where you have to die to them, and then you can actually deal damage to them.

I hate how blizzard is almost trying to make you play a different class if you play solo just to be able to farm tormented or push the pit from season to season. I don’t care about specific builds being nerfed but don’t make me play barb when I find the gameplay boring just so I can have a chance at a mythic unique drop.
i have a bash barb an wasn't able to complete the t100 in ptr, so if it makes you feel better you can create a bash barb and do less damage then any build now.
Damage is to low for a fully decked Sorc. I saw a 2mil. We need hits for 30m to be able to compete with other classes.

yeah its sad. apparently there is a bug with Axial and Lucion helm so we can deal 100s mill. but sorc bugs get fixed, other classes dont
Have to give up a ring for recharging aspect sadly don’t see how else we can sustain mana… if only we could use both tals and starless

It literally feels like (had the same thoughts when playing wow) that Blizzard has 2 parallel teams working on the same game. Switching up every patch, so one feels decent and has some playable moments, when the next one is dog's shit .
They DO have 2 teams leap frogging dev work on seasons and they outright told us this. The odd season team clearly is the inferior design team and have no idea what they're doing.

Honestly if they just adjust the single target damage this would be perfect. The only area I see this struggling is the boss portion. You mowed through the Mobs faster than I’ve been able to do with any of the classes I’ve played this season.
yeah the aspect value is so low, 22,000? It really needs to be like 200,000
they give us the flashiest skills but we got the shittiest damage, still my fellow sorcs thank you for your efforts
Lurkin, these new pants are quite interesting because there is actually very little reason to build around chain lightning with them. Why? Because their proc itself is actually better than chain lightning with a higher ceiling, and because you dont even need to directly use the skill chain lightning to use them. Go for max cdr on gear, go non-unique rings and amulet for 3x unstable current cdr reduction. Go for as much attack speed and crit chance as possible. Use arc lash and unstable currents to proc free casts of chain lightning, these work with the pants proc. You can get so much effective attack speed with arc lash now because of the new "chance to cast arc lash again" tempers, combined with the already existing second cast of arc lash on crit skill effect. You will be spitting out so many chain lightnings during unstable currents free of charge, and maintaining max mana with arc lash new 5 mana a hit effect(works on the additional proc when you crit and addittional cast tempers). The last part of this strategy is the new helm of lucion. This is because its increased resource cost per stack works on the pants effect "6 mana drained", which is important because it allows you to build up to the 66 threshold far faster and more often. I was able to kill tormented duriel in 10 seconds. Addittionally since you wont be spending mana casting arc lash, the helm will still build up stacks off of the mana spent on the pants proc itself. Allowing you to maintain max stacks at all times.
Dont build around chain lightning at all, build around the pants effect, and arc lash. You only need a a point in chain lightning and two more in its sub tree, simply to access the pants proc.
the pants would need to be 200,000 damage for them to be good
People are sleeping on Shocking Impact. 150% damage to stunned enemies with 3 ranks and that is easy to do with LS and Audacity. You can also add ranks with amulet

I think the build is good need some small buffs only, as i heard that the bosses in the ptr take almost close to no damage as they are bugged, not sure if they fixed them.
Plus remember they gonna introduce the new S5 theme which include some powers and such as well to compensate, but compare this to Barb, this is shit i agree.
You gotta die for the bosses health to back to normal, or dip in and out of the entrance of the boss room quick and let the fog wall come up, then re enter
I started out playing my Blizzard build. The cooldown changes on Ice Armor and Flame shield hurt and then add to that the loss of CDR on the focus and it has slowed that build down. Then I made a new character to try Lightning. Since Blizzard keeps reducing our defensive abilities, I figured they must have given us some big damage so that we do not need defense because we will one shot everything. Nope, although the lightning skills look cool as hell, I struggled even doing mini bosses in Helltides. I then put on Andariel helm, and put a few points in Ice Blades and Hydra for more types of damage and more cooldowns for Prodigy (mana problems). Still no defensive skills because I know Blizzard has got my back and they are encouraging me to play full offense. Right?

I think with some buffs it could be strong. Base damage just isn’t there. I got the build to feel good mana wise where I want it
I feel like every build doesn’t have to be the most powerful. For me a fun build is enough, and this is an awesome looking one.
@chrisbenson98 yeah if it can do the higher content while feeling good to play that's fine. If it can't farm high enough that it's hard to justify grouping up because everyone is clearing much lower that's an issue

Capping the damage on greater chain lightning to 30% was a big mistake, even without the cap it wouldnt have amounted to much damage anyway.
I dont know what the design philosophy behind this change was.
You cant even infinitely scale this damage increase, its capped at the max amount of bounces so why?
I think the pit nerfs didn’t make it into the PTR, everyone is struggling. I wouldn’t overthink it.

Build actually works with CROWN of LUCION. Sadly helm is bugged an makes DobbleDip multiple DMG.
Yeah I’m not really sure if I’m going to make a video on it. It’s pretty shit gameplay. You cast once and let it chain back and forth and the damage stacks

Seems very fun, great for speed running all content, easily deals with high pit for material farm.
Couldn't care less if there are stronger builds, it's more than adequate.

I never give up I only play with sorc mostly HC, since they changed the flame shield enchantment slot I knew blizzard is trying to turn our class in a worthless piece of garbage!
We die so easy and have to rely on magic for stay alive, when we menage to stay alive they start nerf our skills
Sorc. Underwhelming? No way. It’s almost like a running joke at this point. Let’s nerf survivability. AND Make it do less damage than every other class. It’s not even like it’s something that’s a skill gap to if you’re good at it it’s godly. It just plain sucks that you HAVE to have 3 defense skill slots at all time to do average content.
at end of the day it doesn't metter , if CL hit like a wet noodle , with this unique we still have a really cool and flashy wet noodle🤣

Pit is bugged. Even devs said it. Don't know if only bosses but some say that mobs are too. It's harder. My friend that is testing on Ptr he did pit 101 hardly but on S4 he could do 140. So bad scaling maybe. We will see. Thanks for showcase and keep up good work, thank 😊

I will try a hydra burning but for sure s5 will be Druid for me, sorc needs to be rebuilt as it was for abattoir , sorc was good just cause dmg red on injured, sorc is a meme right now

We need Season 2 ball lightning back. It was the first time we had power comparable to Barb, and it got taken away from us while Barb got stronger

Won't this temper disappear from the game? Unless I increase the number of times I can do it, it's not worth it. As long as Sorc remains weak I won't go back to this game and I won't give in to another class.

@Lurkin17 Rizzed with the vizz by Blizz, like the rest of us. Sorc literally needs a 900-1000% damage buff to hit the dps of the other classes. In other words, it's a full order of magnitude worse than everyone else. But they said, "Nerf defenses, nerf movement, give em powerwheels and say it's a real racecar"
This build is so low damage against bosses....and the bosses are bugged, if u die once you get like 1000 stacks of pity and they have like 1% of their original HP on your second try. Horrible changes and horrible tuning.

That is Lucion when combined with the Axial Pants. The lucion helmet itself is NOT BUGGED. It is only when used in combination with the Axial pants
I was on PTR tonight. Ready for this? I couldnt even damage the boss of the Pit, and it was the lvl I use for farming. Overall mobbing might have been a little bit quicker, but they BROKE bossing. You thought it was bad before? Shit's unplayable

How much of the damage is from Andariel's? I tried the new pants on my sorc (which in fairness is designed for ball lightning) and it was sort of like getting a weak ball lightning in exchange for 66 mana. I need to try some other options but so far neither of the new sorc uniques are worthwhile.

Visually it looks cool and it seems like it would be fun to play but the damage numbers just seem so far from what the other classes are doing.
Seeing what the new chain lightning sorc will be like on the S5 (melee, no dmg, and forced to collect crackling energy, one of the worst mechanics in the game), it will be the perfect time to uninstall the game and not pay for the expansion

I love how everything is stunned before u even get there. The pit was lovely, and boss damage does look pretty good. Imma definitely have to try n stack max life on the bitch in higher tiers. Build/affixes/tempering/aspects look like choices i would make as well. Awesome vid and showcase!!

All these damage legendary effects are bad as theres no way to scale them or they dont work with other multipliers.
The only one ive seen that can scale is the wind shear aspect which is bugged as the basic skill multiplers from other aspects scales the poison damage on the wind sheer aspect as well as the base wind shear damage
They need to give us ridiculous i mean ridiculous multipliers, tal rasha should give 50% per stack lol and give us back omnipower, that was the only season where chain lightning was viable.

I'm not mad that you posted this, I'm mad that somebody read it and said "omg, right?!" and clicked the thumbs up button.
Chain lightning has terrible single target damage. It struggles on bosses, and in The Pit you have limited time to kill a boss. On top of that, Pit 101 is literally only used as a benchmark for speedfarming efficiency. The pants make chain lightning orbit you, so you have to stand next to bosses to get the orbiting lightning damage on single targets.

all my gear is from the season and a lot of it had damage to close. so i hug the boss

The TH-cam Rob make a video saying he does not like the idea of a barbarian skill being nerfed, immediately blizzard releases a note telling they made a mistake on the patch description and they won't do the particular nerf.

Barb needs to get flattened. Sorc is incredibly balanced besides firebolt shatter, as shatter can chain react and scale too the moon with caveat of requiring trash mobs. All of our builds fall within 10-15 tiers of each other which is better than any other class. Classes need to get balanced like sorc, content needs to get nerfed. I’m not saying T200 needs to be possible. But if content is nerfed, and everyone is balanced to sorc. No one will tell the difference because everything will still be hard. Sorc already feels this past 120/130
You should try arc lash with pang and the new 1h sword that gives 300% more basic attack dmg

The only class that can do damage in Barblo IV is Barbarian - deal with this.
That's why they won't nerf Gushing Wounds but instead, they will increase the bleed time (which means more damage), will increase by 50% Polearm damage (from 10%[x] to 15%[x]), and that's why they will buff Grandfather by 100% from 100%[x] to 200%[x] and on top of everything new aspect to pull in nearby enemies every 1s and deal to them extra 10%[x] damage.
At level 60 and crap gear showing 15-17k every stun
Yeah it’s a whole different ball game once you get to end game. Shocking impact can be some nice chip, but the real damage gate is unstoppable elites and bosses so it loses value

No clue. Pits are really weird right now. You need to die to boss to have its health drop to what it should be
@@Lurkin17 THat's not what it should be, it's the same thing happening in NM dungeons. After you die once, their HP drops to basically nothing compared to initially.
Andy got a huge damage buff (well they fixed the tooltip and we realized how much damage it was doing). It just does more than the Shako ranks
