Mufumbwe's Kalengwa mine to reopen soon

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has assured the people of Mufumbwe District that Kalengwa Mine will be reopened.
President HICHILEMA says his eyes are set on Kalengwa Mine and that he will work hard to ensure it is reopened to benefit the people of the area.
Speaking during a public rally in Mufumbwe, the President also thanked the people in the area for their resilience during the difficult years the UPND was in opposition.
President HICHILEMA recalled how he was at one time during a by-election detained for one week and how UPND officials WATSON LUMBA and CHARLES KAKOMA were nearly killed in Mufumbwe.
The President said despite the brutality, the people of Mufumbwe stood with the UPND thus the district will always hold a special place in his heart.
