Great stuff Shawn. Really like the blue 59 Ford. Some how you always find antique shops and flea markets that have amazing kits for sale cheap. Love all of those SMP Ford's. Thanks for sharing.
Nice racing team set and glad the Hertz Mustang with the crushed box is okay. I could never restore glue bombs or older builds since it seems like a lot of work just to strip it down before reassembling.
That is a bad excuse for being behind lol. I kidding buddy. Once you get behind it’s hard to get caught back up. Great mail call and great kits add to your stash. I know I need to check out old antique shops and thrift stores. But when I do I am like the man on Rudolph the red nose reindeer . I always come up with nothing lol. Have a great weekend my friend 👍👍😎👊👊
In Canada our 1962 Mercury's were named "Meteor S-33" which had minor chorme styling changes and badges from the American versions. As well as Mercury had a truck line back then. I love your idea of 64 wagon to pull that Thunderbolt. Cheers...
A very productive haul. It was so many I lost track of it all 😀 The Grant King race team box is really cool. That Sprint Car used to be a fairly common sight on vendor tables ... hopefully you can find one. the box for that mustang was really mangled.. but it was pretty cool how the kit was ok. I hope you figure that phone out!
Nice finds! I have that Bronco & dune buggy kit. Snatched that up when it first came out. Of course you know I have the Shelby GT350H as well......it needs to be finished. I was out and about at one of our antique shops yesterday. No automotive kits, but a ton of military kits. They had some old built ups (cars), but they're asking about what a new kit costs ($29.99) and they aren't anything rare or special and not especially built well either. I'll be heading to upstate NY next month for my oldest kid's wedding. I plan on doing some looking around for models. Be well, Shawn. Hope you get that phone worked out.
That 62 Mercury meteor is definitely my kind of thing... Damn I'm going to have to keep digging in the trade pile!, lol Your stuff is all boxed up Shawn.... But you keep digging out these treasures man.
Shawn my man.......love the kits U got buddy!!!!!!!! Yes.........that AMT flip nose kit was in fact an old MPC release....I have the same kit as yours, mine is just a different release year.....1991.....I'm hoping 2 build it sometime before the next millennium........LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Onion Head, I have the ORIGINAL Grant King Sprint Car Kit but you will have to create some pretty strong suction to get it. You can check it out next time you come over. You never know, I might FORGET before you get here and sell it somewhere. Like the old Fords, I can remember when they were new. I was always told that there are true car guys and then there is Peckerwoods. Nice stash haul you made there Peckerwood.
Thank you for watching George and I can't wait until I can get back over to your house and play models lol! Those old Fords I found in North West AR at a flea market! I go and check out those places when Marilyn is getting her treatments, because it takes hours for her infusion!
