I remember when I first started building models it was all American cars. Now that I'm older i really appreciate the different kits like the Mercedes and other European cars. Great stash add
Great stash pick up.A throwback for me as I built a lot of those Roth/Barriss creations in my youth until girls came along.I remember having a few as Hot Wheels diecasts as well.
Not a bad haul. You are correct about the F-4U Corsair; Inverted Gull Wing was used to increase ground clearance for the massive 14' diameter prop! Peace and love.
I'm with oldschoolmodeler love gremlins ,a 72 was my first car. Been looking for a kit for a long time finally found one on ebay haven't got it yet, don't know what I'm waiting for, I'll get it pretty soon. You've got a great channel, keep up the good work.
You are right on the inverted gull wing of the Corsair. Ground clearance for the prop was one of two reasons they designed ir that way. The second reason is it kept the landing gear shorter for carrier use🙂
Wow!!!!! Man how do you get so lucky and find all these old school models yea big daddy Roth the one and only Rat Fink!!!! And you got your hands on all those long rail dragsters,,well if you run out of room or you got two or three of them send them my way hahahaha yea ED Roth got me started in customs of all kinds but my most favorite ones is his early kits like the out law , the mysterio ,, and afew others and then you had the red Barron,,the munsters family coatch and grand pas coffin dragster,, thanks again I’ll see you next video
The General Lee was a 69 Charger and had the standard rear window. You can kitbash the 68 and 69 Revell Chargers to make a General Lee. The 69 kit has a molded on vinyl top. You can use the wheels and push bar from the MPC kit.
Interesting kits you've added to the stash yet again. I remember the very first issue of Scale Auto Enthusiast magazine I bought lamented the fact they had to cancel a Build a Batmobile contest they had planned owing to licensing issues, so I remember that AMT kit, #6877, from then. And you got some planes too?!
The Merlin engines for the Mustangs were built under license by Packard Motor Car Company. (Packard V-1650- Merlin) Enzo Ferrari Died in 1988. The Prowler featured a powertrain from Chrysler's LH-cars, a 24-valve, 3.5 L Chrysler SOHC V6 engine producing 214 hp (160 kW; 217 PS) at 5850 rpm. For the 1999 model year, the engine was replaced with a more powerful, aluminum block, 253 hp (189 kW; 257 PS) at 6400 rpm version of the engine.
Matthew, the Hope it dont snow show is January 18th at the Four Points by Sheraton, 9027 Fairforest Road Spartanburg SC. 29301 Nice haul. The Countach and Gremlin were two I built to replicate customer's cars. You would have loved the Gremlin, 426 Hemi with a 4 speed. Straight axle gasser. Stars and stripes paint job. Man, I had to scavenge kits of all types to put that one together! These were usually pretty well off people with Mercedes or Rolls Royces, so they paid pretty well. Mostly, they sat in a glass counter in the office so the owner would spot them. One guy had a 63 Corvette. I built one, put it in the cabinet, and that guy stood there several times and never noticed. Finally, one day, I got frustrated and had to pop up and say, "Hey! That's just like your Vette, isn't it?" The guy was a detective, you would think..... Glory days! Cheers Terry
Wow, what a cool stash. Lots of nice models. And yes, I showed the Shaker trike not in my last video, but the one before that. I was lucky to get a couple of them free, one of them missing the rear wheels though, but thats allright, I started to pick parts from it. They are 1/12 scale, I have no idea why the box says 1/25 scale 😂 I like those Revell choppers, like the Gambler you got. You can do all kind of parts swab on them, or even fabricate new parts like seats, gastanks, handlebars and so forth. Oh, and the Dave Deals VW van, thats cool 😂 I have the `68 Charger too, that is a nice kit. Really like it. The General Lee is a `69 by the way. But a very nice and cool stash add buddy, thanks for sharing 😀
Hey Matthew don't be hating on the AMC Gremlin, that's my dream car. Im not kidding either lol. I haven't built a Gremlin kit yet, it's on my list though. I would build both of those Batmobile's. Those are my two favorite Batmobiles. Awesome stash adds Matthew, great score 👍😎
I think the '58 TBird kit you showed is the same kit I built as a kid. On your box, it shows a hardtop image on the side panel. The one I built was molded in black, a hardtop, and it had opening doors. It had a bubble top option. However, I do not remember what my box looked like. Scalemates doesn't show your box on its kit timeline. Yours must be a rare one!
Well ,those 1/18 scale drag wheels would nicely fit all those 1/18 scale funny car kits by Revell and Atlantis......plus Revell is bringing back their 69 Z/28 3 in 1 kit that's 1/18 scale in January according to Model Roundup
No my friend you was right the first time The General Lee is a 1969 charger and it’s all based on the road runner format and is all part of the super bird builds they never ran the 68 chargers as the General but they did with the 1970 chargers,,the very first General Lee was painted dark green like a jade green and I believe the door numbers were 87 and it was only ran once in the early years of season 1 ,,after that they all had the burnt red orange paint jobs and was numbered 01 ,, I’m working on building a few different General Lee’s and I also want to build the Corvette from the movie Corvette summer and a couple other movie cars ,,like the fully custom red 1948 ford convertible they used at the end of the movie now I have found the white Greased lighting kit but I don’t think they have made the red custom 48 ford kit the body is completely custom cut ,and I am trying to do a set of the Batmobel I think they are at least 5or6 different ones an last but not least building a set of the racers from speed racer the movie and I have only found two of the different ones in the 1/24 an 1/25 scale model cars I have not found the rare and one of a kind next to the Mach 5 is the shooting star #9 racer Xs car An the other Mach 5 racers they are at least 6 if not more of the Mach 5 Generation and they are numbered Mach 1 through Mach 6 and the Mach 4 is the only red colored Mach racer ,,you have helped my builds quite a bit making them all better looking,,thank you my friend your tips have made a word of difference
P S , I have one more question I am about to build a Some what very famous race car a is my hero car,, and it just so happens it was my first car when I was young, and that was the 1955 2dr 210 bel-air post,,every body knows the bel-air was top of the line back then but they also used that platform to build the 150, and the 210 post cars and these cars made the best racers because they were so strong because of the post they added with all the extras you could order on it ,but what I need help with is do you know or have you ever built a flip nose 55 Chevrolet 210 post Bel-air??? I am building the 1955 Chevrolet from the movie two lane black top from the early 1970’s ,, any thoughts on how to set one up for the flip nose piece to hing it ??? Any ideas would be helpful,, I had thought about using the hinges off the corvettes or the 1957 bel-air model spirt 57 ? And what was the polish you use to wipe them down with for a shine??? Again thanks
Want to sell that"Van" Dave Deal, caricature vw kit? I've been bugging Revell to re-release the Dave Deal kits for a few years now. Had the whole series of them when they were released in the 60s. Have always been a major Dave Deal artwork fan.Missed out on buying them when they were released.
I remember when I first started building models it was all American cars. Now that I'm older i really appreciate the different kits like the Mercedes and other European cars. Great stash add
👍👍
Moi aussi, cette hiver je vais construire mes 2 premier Fujimi, La Ford GT-40 1966 et la Porsche 917K 1970 😃
Great varied stash you bought. Lots of cool kits. Thanks to Joseph for the assist.
👍👍👍
Howdy. In the P-51, only the "A" had the allison engine. "B" on had the Merlin😁
Neat stash adds and those X Force wheels are really cool.
Great stash pick up.A throwback for me as I built a lot of those Roth/Barriss creations in my youth until girls came along.I remember having a few as Hot Wheels diecasts as well.
Very cool!!
Wow what a stach.
Fun haul!
Enzo Ferrari passed away in 1988, long before the car was built.
👍👍
The "Shaker Trike" is badass. Build it!
Not a bad haul. You are correct about the F-4U Corsair; Inverted Gull Wing was used to increase ground clearance for the massive 14' diameter prop! Peace and love.
Great stash adds, loving that jungle Jim Lieberman dragster
Nice collection of car and plane kits you picked up, enjoy Matt😊
Thanks David!!
Great Stash

Back when I actually finished model kits, I built that P-61 in the Monogram release, it was a bear to build.
Very cool kits
Matt great score brother ❤😊
Thanks Shawn!!
love the drag race kits

Great kits Matt. I have actually sat in the outlaw car when it was at a car show that my parents too me to as a kid.
The General Lee was a 69 Charger and had the standard rear window. You can kitbash the 68 and 69 Revell Chargers to make a General Lee. The 69 kit has a molded on vinyl top. You can use the wheels and push bar from the MPC kit.
Yes, just look at the side markers. Round is '68, rectangle is '69, and the '70 car has the big loop bumper, so that's easy to spot.
Nice collection

What a cool stash! Just ordered some MCV goodies for myself for a gift 👍 Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
If you ever come visit Southern California I recommend the NHRA museum in Pomona. It’s chock full of classic dragsters.

Nice stash! I will relieve you of those 1/48 scale aircraft if you want to give them up?
Prowler had same v6 from the Plymouth mini vans....

A friend of mine would buy vintage kits and he just leaves them on shelves!

1988 Enzo past away
The General Lee was a 1969 charger.
It was Released in 2014 P-61 A/B Black Widow
That’s a lot of kits, where you gonna put them lol.
Good question!!
would the rear tires from the Shaker Trike kit be a good fit for the rear of the 1/12 69 Camaro?
I think the trike tires are 1:16 if I'm not mistaken.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year another fine video thank you👍👍
Thanks Edward! You too!
Matthew do you want to trade for the Batmobiles
Enzo Ferrari died August 14, 1988
