It was through Paul that I met Gracie, and the rest of the band, and we would hang out together. All these years later, I still keep in touch with Gracie, she is a wonderful person and one of the best friends I've ever had.
How history has proven Mohammed Ali right with his ‘ain’t no viet cong ever called me no n#gger’! And his refusal to be drafted. War HAS to be the absolute last resort….and only when necessary to stop atrocities occurring. You and your generation (and the Vietnamese people) should never have been subjected to such horrors just to satisfy the US military’s lust for imperial dominance!
this song gives me chills down my spine every time, so beautifully composed, and it is a timeless classic that takes me back every time to a higher reality that is possible if you tap into it, consuming those magic mushrooms. lol

The instrument track is from the studio session, and since Jack is plucking the strings, but his electric bass is not "live", the bag was probably put there to "muffle" the twang from the bass guitar's strings.
