“I can communicate with pretty much anybody, but they couldn’t communicate with me”. It’s so nice hearing these stories be told from a Deaf perspective. Hearing society puts such a burden on Deaf people to communicate with Hearing people, when many Hearing people don’t make that same effort. Deaf people have to communicate on hearing people’s terms but it’s hardly the other way around. More people need to pay attention and listen to the stories and perspectives of the deaf community.
