While also showing that he's frustrated that has to rely on the hollow to win. All while showing the resolve to protect his family. He's fighting for who he has left but he still feels pain after losing his mother. However this is just my thoughts as of the fake kankura town arc.

Growing up .he learned more and more about the spirit world of how good and bad it can be.meeting ghosts he can talk with,shinigamis and hollows.but why he was also looking for fights, like street fight where he also met Chad, was he wanted to get stronger.he wanted strength.he didn't want to be powerless again to not be able to protect the people within his circle. He didn't even hate his hollow.His powers was the one trying to pick a fight.as a matter of fact he was more concerned about the people scared about his power.like when orihime was scared cause it reminded it of her brother who lose all he senses and just went berserk.
