These univalves will make so much difference to your work. Before this I had a remote controller stop and start which was ok sometimes and not others. This is the best invention for reach and wash in many years
Another great video Ashley. Top tip for anyone wanting to install a univalve. Use a mug of hot water to soften the PU. Less stress on the univalve barb
Great video Ashley. Another tip for you. I’ve found that fitting the o ring at the top of the pole works but it still slips so wrap a bit of insulation tape just above it or even better get the little plastic piece that Exceed sell for the job. I’ve used them for ages now and there’s no slip at all👍
My univalve came with the clips with a cinch on one side only. Although they are marked the same as the double side cinch, they compress to a larger diameter of plus one mm, 10% difference, and don’t give the even compression. They leak. Changed to double sided cinch.
I'm watching your video again you said the 1st section of the top of the pole is slightly shorter you have a different oval 8 pole then I have. All my sections are 6' long and I have the 30 foot pro elite so that's why my valve sticks out the bottom a tad. Please let me know if your top section in shorter than 6 feet thanks
I’m not sure what the pro elite is, but it’s sounds like you have different models to us in the UK. So, you could just always be careful not to close the first section all the way? Or you could cut a bit off of the bottom of the first section so you can tuck the valve up there a bit further? 👍🏼
Ruddy fantastic and shows how it's done professionally. Those asking will the Univalve still work when in section two, answered 👌👌👌 Great explanation video again Ashely 👏👏👏👏👏
My uni valve is grey/ red. I've found that when the pole is quite extended the flex in the tube ( rhino tube) increases . And you've gotta really give a good old yank to activate the valve. At short extension no problem. What sayeth you?
Keith Baron Yes I have noticed this a little. I’m using just about the cheapest pole hose you can get, and there is a bit of stretch in it. No issues though really, I was cleaning some quite high third storey windows today, turned it on and off a few times no problem.😃👍🏼
A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services I’ve noticed this problem can be reduced. Even if you still want to use a flex tube. Try using stiff tubing for the part that is from the brush to the univalve. Keeps the univavalve in place better.
@@edwinnoort7661 I agree...I would just add to keep that section as short as possible to get a more positive click with the valve with less flex...I have 2 poles, one has 18 " of leader tubing and the other only has 4 " and the 4" is much easier to actuate...less stretching of the leader tubing.
@@aemackintosh I'm in the USA and I have a 30 foot pole and it has 5 6 foot sections. I did everything the same way. I have the oval 8 elite pro. My window rep said yes the valve will stick out half way at the bottom and that's the way it is unless you open the pole 3 inch to hide it.
@@aemackintosh The top of the hose from the valve is exactly enough length to go through the gooseneck to the brush no access at still too long at the bottom
Possibly. You just have to get the right fitting. You will need an oval fitting for the Ova8. Not sure if you can get one of those? I would recommend getting a pole that is nice and rigid to use with the scraper as well if you can.😃👍🏼
Ash would you recommend oval pole .... looking at something different currently using Gardiner extreme 25 amazing pole but too delicate I’ve snapped it 3 times in the last couple of month
Dave monk Monk Cleaning services There is a bit of flex in it going higher than third storey, but it is a very versatile pole for domestic work. I love it.😃👍🏼

The uni valve is an exceptional bit of kit 👍

Squeaky Clean Dave I will keep an eye on it, thanks.😃👍🏼
I do the same, works perfectly 👍
I love the univalve, put it on all my poles. I always put it in the first section. In the ova 8, its very near, but it fits.
Nice.😃👍🏼
nice set up ashley
Poopsy1970 Thanks.😃👍🏼
Thanks a lot for the demo

Thanks for your comments. Yes there are slightly different versions and sizes of those clips. That’s a shame they didn’t send you the right ones.😬👎🏼
Hi Ashley, I use 2 clips together on the upper tube , I found the hose was slipping and started moving, this stopped the issues.. cheers David
FlashTechEngineering Great, thanks for the tip. I haven’t noticed it moving yet but I will keep an eye on it.😃👍🏼
Very clever
Chris Lambrinides Thanks. I guess it’s a similar setup for the Xeroval?😃👍🏼
A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services yep!
I should probably talk more about how they are the same, or similar, but I need to get properly clued up about that really.😃👍🏼

OVA8 International It’s making such a big difference already, and works absolutely perfect in the pole, no niggles of any kind. Love it!😃👍🏼
Que pena no saber inglés. De igual modo entiendo la finalidad. Donde venden eso? Donde comprar eso? Gracias desde España

I have the pro elite oval 8 I cut the hose a shortest possible but all the lengths are 6' in the univalves still sticks out the bottom is this normal
No it shouldn’t stick out. Sounds like something is not quite right there?🤔

What does the UnI Valve do and what are the benefits from it ?
It allows you to turn the water on and off just by tugging on the hose.👍🏼
@@aemackintosh thanks for that info ! I just ordered one. I´m excited
Wish I'd watched this before fitting my univalve. 🤦♂️ Round 2! 🔔🔔😂
