This was a top hit on TH-cam for my search, along with similar videos, but my question wasn't how to be more professional, but how to protect your individuality in a corporate environment. Do you have any advice on authenticity and personal integrity?
@@88tongued Unfortunately there is not much room for individuality in a corporate setting. No one cares who you are individually, sorry, but the individual is the corporation as a whole and your individual representation of it.
1- dress well, be clean (dress to impress) 2- be work focus 3- Run away from gossip 4- Always be on time 5- Be positive ( don’t complain, but if you do bring it with solutions too) 6- deliver work on time
I often felt unappreciated at work. It began to effect my performance at work however until I adopted an attitude to just do the best job I could and see how it paid off. I began to notice that other co-workers were beginning to go the extra mile and do work outside of their job descriptions. One day my boss approached me and expressed how appreciative he was that my actions changed the work environment. Shortly after I was given an hourly raise.
Being on time is so important, it shows dedication and respect to your employer and fellow employees. I would rather be 10 min early then just on time:)
Loved all of these tips, but especially your tip to run away from gossip. When I used to work in an office, I would deliberately avoid gossip and every time I heard someone talk behind someone’s back, I knew it would backfire. Great video, I really enjoyed your energy in it :)
Dress to impress sounds like a given but it's a great tip. It's easy to get comfortable with a job and then dress however you want but you still need to dress to impress even after working there for however long! Love these tips on professionalism
Thanks for watching these tips on professionalism! Hope this taught you a bit about how to be a workplace standout! So glad you appreciated the reminder to dress to impress. Cheers!
I think its necessary to also keep in mind that, though people do judge, they are not always correct in assessment. It is better to know yourself and your true focus than to be overly concerned about the judgement of others. But maintain an understanding of judgements and try to address them.
In addition to dress to impress, being punctual, focus on job, avoiding office gossip, not complaining..also - initiate interaction with your boses - weekly email highlighting what achievement and weeknes of the week. - involving or participating in duties extra to your work such as dinners etc -alligning with political corect team... Will enhance your visibility at work
I agree, the best thing you can do if you do get sucked into some office gossip is to not let it influence you or your view on another person at the office. Stay positive! Thanks for watching, cheers!
These are great tips! I definitely think a good tip is to keep your composure in testy situations, especially if you're in a job that deals with clients on a regular basis
For sure! Incorporating mindfulness is one of my favourite ways to do this. How do you keep your composure in difficult professional situations? Cheers!
Excellent video! I'm employing people now and a positive attitude and being work focused IS A MUST. And everyone knows they need bring me solutions before they complain.
Yes! Love that you're setting the standard for your team and that the expectations are clear. Glad you make a point of creating a positive environment for everyone. Thanks for sharing your tips on profesionalism. Cheers!
The best thing I like about you is that you are not telling what we wish for, you are telling is the reality.... People shouldn't judge our dressing but people do judge...... 100% agreed and subscribed.
Hey Jessica, thank you! I agree. Being on time is one of those basic things where if you don't do it, you just look careless or sloppy with your job. Thanks for your thoughts!
1. Dress for the job you want 2. Be work focus 3. Don't be the office gossip(don't give or take) 4. Be on time always(even if it's not mandatory in your office) 5. Be positive (don't complain but if you do then give solution too) 6. Be kick-ass good be accountable give your work on time

Don't participate in gossip.' BUT YOU NEEED TO KNOW WHAT THE GOSSIP IS, Who it';s victims are, and what is being said. If you are supervising the one who is the primary victim theen you ned to alert that person ahd help them overcome it!

You should care for your hair style as well!!! It does not look good.

I loved it up until you used Kick Ass Good...cant really use that with my students
That’s unfortunate. How old are your students?
Then, just remove that part/bleep/fast forward if you are showing to young students.
Don’t talk to much.
I love it fantastic! Thank you for sharing:)
