Impressive! this not only covered the "How to Carry" guide but also featured a lot of intangibles that are relevant to the game such as map awareness, decision making, nuke/spell dodging, casting animation, flanking, split pushing, in game hero kill prioritization and other lot of stuff. Indeed very informative for the new players out there every new Dota 2 player should see this 10/10!
I like this. Its very straight forward and breaks it down easily to neweer players a lot. Of course there are here and there that's always situation but it comes with experience. But overall good job unlike many guide out there that just says something for a one time situation. Very good from transitioning to a low level player carry to a medium tier carry. The rest you pick up from experience to become a high tier carry player.
Pub guide: Carry-1)farm and if successful start getting kills and blaming team for being useless pricks. 2)If failed at farming and are considerably behind start blaming all supports for being shit players. Start bringing up lack of wards, saying things like "you got shit items scrub", and to the other team "report supports all noobs". Support- you're pretty much fucked one way or the other. If you do good and get kills you get blamed for KSing and will get reported. If you try not to get last hit and enemy escapes carries rage for negligence. If you buy wards and up courier and have no money carries will call you a scrubface for not having any items. Usually they say stuff like "go play AI fuckface", or "CYKA" if Russian. And whatever you do DO NOT say you lost the game because carry failed at farming. They will always say that they failed at farming because YOU couldn't support them properly by opening space, stacking, and harassing. Even if you do all those things, and the game is lost, the carry will always say you did NOT do them. And this is ladies and gentlement why almost no one play support in pubs. True story.
XxGandalf the 420 mlg masterXX Carry just needs 2 skills, last-hitting and team fighting. Supports need to be good at stacking, pulling, warding, dewarding, positioning, rotate around the map. All that while still getting gold somehow.
"be humble, and realize that you didnt win this game by yourself. behind every great carry player there is an even greater support player creating space for you to farm" this, is what most pub players are not, and know not. great vid, great advice, and ive allready sent this vid to a couple of friends that tend to blame the support for not saving them(the carry) when they get too carried away(lol no pun intended) and dont take responsability for not farming well enough even with great support.
That sandking killing the Templar Assassin with the Luna at the radiant bottom tower was quite impressive. At around the fourth minute of the video. The timing of the ulti is great enough. Suicidal but nevertheless clever.
Thanks for the tips :D I've been playing hard carry predominantly in my time with Dota (about 500 games played so far) and recently thought that it'd be good to focus a bit on playing carry just to mix things up a bit and to play a better overall game. Thanks! :D
On who to attack first in a team fight: Try to roughly calculate Damage+CC output divided with surviability for each enemy hero. This rule of thumb makes Lina and Skywrath mage high priority because they hit hard and die fast - Abbadon and Clockwerk do the opposite, so they're low priority. If you're versus a Lifestealer I suggest just writing profanity :P
tips for being a carry hero 1. pick the recommended starting items 2. choose the safelane to farm 3. in mid game farm in jungle and roam everywhere to kil creeps 4. near late game buy all the recipe for the items you needed 5. enjoy killing in late game 6. dont forget you need scepter
Before level 11 always use midas on big creeps for more experience and cause they're harder to kill. Afterwards, use it on the smallest creeps for more gold.
Got the same moustpad for 2 years already, and i can tell you this is the best mousepad that exists. -Dont have that mouse, but i guess its damn good too.
Filters active: Huskar, All modes, Real matches only. Look at the date between the picks. He doesn't use him that much at all. It just looks like that due to his filter settings.
Very usefull :] Always my first game stats after Your "HowToPlay" are like 10 1 10. It's much better than DotaCinema and others HowToPlay videos. This video is very simple, but has very big power.
One point, that should be defently highlighted: You dont win by killing heroes, you by killing the throne or the tree. You would be suprised, how mutch games completely turn, becasue one side decide to fountain farm instead of attack the rax or the main.
thanks!, wanna be as good as bf in this game, im learning how to play with juggernaut, you think this is good for starters? or the choice doesn't matter? thank you for this guide! now my first 10min have a solid purpose
Except very hard carries,I don't think last hits should have a VERY important priority, since you can get even more gold with tower kills and teamfights. After the first 8-9 minute, usually around 40 farm is even ok,you will get your boots and the half of your core item, after that go gank and try to get a double kill with a babysitting support, and keep rolling like that.In many games I've had as a carry,I preferred farming a little bit low but killing, and had so many levels and items very fast, while other carries farmed for 12-13 minutes but still had low levels.Or you can be aggresive and get a first blood on your lane, and that will be a very important key to win the game.
idk your way of thinking is wrong and correct... but i agree with the Video Maker... 1st : As carry u need lot of money. 2nd : If u ganking in early game, the result isn't always you get a kill, u can get killed too without killing someone
my personal opinion, carry is not a role for someone who is new to the game, i'd suggest them to try caster/nuker first, it's a lot easier and train you how to timing your skills, not entirely depending on your items, which most of new players would be suck at last hitting and died a lot
Hey, I just have a question about your skillbuild on Luna at the very end of this video. You maxed out your glaives before your dmg aura. I tried it out myself but I simply think that I pushed the lane too much out by skilling this way, do you have any reasoning on going for glaives before dmg aura?
double click the hero portrait. I highly discourage playing with your camera locked, though. being able to move your camera around gives you soooo much more awareness.
Open up a lobby, turn cheats on, go behind your T2-tower, type: -createhero fountain enemy Then there spawns a fountain, that will kill you and your creeps aswell. Move around the fountain and train lasthitting under the tower.
Dave0551 so hard to farm on scrub mmr pub , laning with a guy who wont stop hitting the creeps , wont help me on gank , farm mid game , "useless" is shouted
Not trying to be that guy... but after googling it, I've become curious. Someone said, its a shame he had to go out like that, right in front of his computer too. Or something along those lines. Has it been released how it happened? I really liked this video, it's a shame to hear he's gone. Rest in Peace
11:25 u dont know wat the hell ur saying, easily could have saved bh if u focused and slowed axe, my stacks would flame you for chasing those 2 heros running away
12:09 his line about "be humble" most pub carries dont follow which is why I never support in pub...You can be at all team fights and get 20+ assists, do all the warding buy courier and pubbies will say " omg ur 0-5 FEEDER! they wont look a the assists
Last game i was a support treant, was able to give void 20 mins of freefarm and he failed: didnt buy batlle fury, didnt buy treads i was like ffs man i give you so much farm and you lost us the fricking game...
Nope. Used to be able to get over 100 dps while at 10% hp on Huskar. Now you just get 50% magic and 50% physical. Huskar doesn't have the burst damage he used to have. Survivability instead of damage? Fuck that. I'll consider it a buff when they bring back the damage bonus also.
That requires a lot more than simply watching a video. Good luck! P.S. I find it extremely difficult to play hard carries such as TB when the rest of the team doesn't know what to do.
Vladimir Mihaylov Actually TB is really good to start carrying ....really good pusher ....you can always counter push and TP out with that hero ....also the number of illlusions make your farming faster
Dev Vasu What I meant was that hard carries are extremely item dependent and, as a consequence, extremely team dependent. If the rest of the team doesn't know what to do the game is lost right from the start. Just a couple of hours ago I played a game as a hard carry, namely Faceless Void. My teammates sent me to the offlane with NO support. That's right, the team support, Io, went in the safelane leaving me against enemy PA and their support Lich. You can guess the result. I was able to score last hits but I had no way to prevent PA from getting all the creeps she needed. In the end PA was fed and I had virtually nothing. The game was lost the moment Io refused to go with me.
Vladimir Mihaylov happens every fucking time when playing solo.. the rest of the team cant sync to ur needs or intentions then in the end, u get blamed..
Impressive! this not only covered the "How to Carry" guide but also featured a lot of intangibles that are relevant to the game such as map awareness, decision making, nuke/spell dodging, casting animation, flanking, split pushing, in game hero kill prioritization and other lot of stuff. RIP m8. Thanks for all the good videos which definately had an improvement on my game.
please make more videos man! I have watched all yours in a couple days and they are awesome, I would love to see more

played dota for a long time..... played many roles... still finding something missing in my play when i watch this... great job professor~
This guy is super helpful. I've seen so many videos and this is the one that will actually help me
I can't believe you are gone man. You were the best! I wish I could do some thing for you :( I wish you happiness, where ever you are.
buyback
i wish we could ...

MaxFlare It's also harder to support than to carry.
+Deimos not in all cases.

FINALLY A real guide.... I've been using support all the time I forgot how to carry lol
RIP FiercE... you took my game to the next level. Rest easy king
Support is the carry of the carry.

the best guide i ever watched. i'm glad, that i found this video.

It depends what kind of matchmaking you are in of course, if you are in the lower tiers things are quite a bit different.
Got the same moustpad for 2 years already, and i can tell you this is the best mousepad that exists.
-Dont have that mouse, but i guess its damn good too.
Thanks dude for guide! Really thoroughly and qualitatively explained.
We are waiting for mooooreeee viiddeeoooosss, FiercE!! Where are youu duddeeee
very honest and good commentary.. will buy ur mouse when i spoilt mine.

stuff just get so complicated at 5:50. what flag is he talking about?

So many informative videos. r.i.p. man.
Verry nice guide, now i know my weakness is,ty friend
Nice vid. Lina 2:10 is just wow. Fail festival

They can be made to play semi carries which are less farm dependent than carries and have less buttons as compared to casters
Also support item builds vary a lot less making itemization easier to handle.
Rasyid Faruqi That is what I keep telling them, start with easy Heroes! >.
Suddenly A Wild Faceless Void appears.
Idk about the fountain dive part lol. To many games have been turned around cause of diving the fountain.
Hey,
I just have a question about your skillbuild on Luna at the very end of this video. You maxed out your glaives before your dmg aura. I tried it out myself but I simply think that I pushed the lane too much out by skilling this way, do you have any reasoning on going for glaives before dmg aura?
Best Video for carry ever !
Can u make more videos about supporting, choosing items and playing other roles? :D
double click the hero portrait. I highly discourage playing with your camera locked, though. being able to move your camera around gives you soooo much more awareness.
Good guide. No bullshit. Just plain information. Thx!
Hi fierce, i think it would be helpful to noobs to explain which characters are carry, which are support, and what exactly each role does.
aiiDz
my friend only has to wait 1 second and he wasted about 1k gold for buy back
that is not a friend
This is making me itch. In a bad way
Sick Juke at 2:00
Thanks for letting me know all of this!!!!!!Now i know how can carry!!!!!!!And tell me where can i buy the mouse????????
+dung nguyen quoc This video is old. It's sad to say this but Professor Fierce has passed away. Search it on google. You will never see him again.
RIP teacher.
Stack + pull the creeps from jungle, auto hit deny when your creeps are below 50% hp
Open up a lobby, turn cheats on, go behind your T2-tower, type: -createhero fountain enemy
Then there spawns a fountain, that will kill you and your creeps aswell. Move around the fountain and train lasthitting under the tower.
you should still buyback if theres a trade between both mids and mid is pushing
15:13 how about the supports that steals last hits? -___-
right when i saw the damage you could do i was like HOLY FUCKING SHITTTT
1:21 - Dat Luna
Negative 12792 experience.
What happened there? o_O
It's 35 to 45, not the other way around. Always the small number first professor.
Yeah but you get less creeps the harder the lane, therefore he put 45 before 35. The line should be the opposite.
7:45 he was really high skilled, playing against arteezy invoker and stuff
Is creep score the ld/d?
that xp bar
sorry, but what does "cs" means?
really helpful. Great work!
hey can someone tell me how he got to that screen at 10:20 ??

12:09 his line about "be humble" most pub carries dont follow
which is why I never support in pub...You can be at all team fights and get 20+ assists, do all the warding buy courier and pubbies will say " omg ur 0-5 FEEDER!
they wont look a the assists
nope, where ya get that silly idea?
Last game i was a support treant, was able to give void 20 mins of freefarm and he failed: didnt buy batlle fury, didnt buy treads i was like ffs man i give you so much farm and you lost us the fricking game...

Bro. U gotta make more vids
Ok this is the exact sort of video that people need to "not" watch, and the sort of plague that is degrading the potential of this once glorious game.
nice video gj
Creep Score(Last Hits)
how to carry: be good
Wow, nice video.
this is cool thanks man now i can try and play TerrorBlade and not look like a nub
That requires a lot more than simply watching a video. Good luck!
P.S. I find it extremely difficult to play hard carries such as TB when the rest of the team doesn't know what to do.
