heres a tip i learned from a guy: [not related to the video]
next to the gear thing you can see clearly under a tm2 there's another gear thing that makes the clicking noise when you push it without it moving, if you sand it down properly you can have it freewheel and move at the same time like a tomy or trackmaster classic
i did it with my james, do be careful when sanding thought because if you sand down too much it wont have enough friction to pull cargo, so dont get too greedy [which is what happend] i would say worth it though

We literally could’ve had a motorized Murdoch model with siderods and all working wheels if TOMY locked in 😔 awesome job though, glad fans are compensating for them!

Crappy and old motor that is why I have it 2 with my tm2 donald custom
Likely the wheelbase is the problem, as it's very long and it struggles to take some curves.
Tm2’s have like no pulling power at all, especially without their weird ass gear tires
