The Vibe. Elvis was the first one to name it a SHOW. Concerts were no longer just about standing at the mic to sing or play. Elvis was an entertainer with a God crafted voice of the ages.
Elvis was in total control of his band with his right arm and head nods. Sometimes he would go wild to see if the band, especially the drummer, could keep up. (like with Suspicious Minds)
OK the microphone incident is actually pretty funny. He did this sometimes to send a message to the sound people if he thought something or someone was off. It sent a really weird sound to the sound guy's ear phones to wake him up". Elvis thought it was funny, but it also sent a message. You never knew what he was going to do on stage, but it was always fun and interesting. He was the best performer I have ever seen and that hour went by way too fast. Thanks, AB, for this one. Your channel is one of the best and your Elvis reactions are so much fun!!!❤❤❤
This is a perfect description of this. I always find it hard to put in words but I'm a musician and a studio guy and whatnot, and it totally makes sense to me. It was a way to combine humor with pranking the sound guy to wake him up with a blip of feedback in his headphones just for a second, but it's also a way to include even the remote sound guy into the dynamic of messing with each other on stage and off. People in that band were always pranking each other including Elvis and he did the same. As someone who has played in bands it just really is endearing to me.
This really showcases what a showman & entertainer Elvis was. And he had a good sense of humor. He really liked wearing these white jumpsuits & it became his staple outfit in a lot of his concerts. "Polk Salad Annie” is a 1968 song written & performed originally by Tony Joe White.
AB we're still screaming for our lives! 😊😊 I wasn't even born when he was alive and let me tell you, I'm verrrry excited! The man had SWAG and nobody else has reached this level! ❤❤❤❤
Besides the comedy and showmanship;l if this particular song One must realize; That band is LIVE. They are having to time everything around Elvis’ various impromptus during a performance whether reading notes or kissing women. Then the pick it up immediately where they left on when he jumps back in on the song. Really it’s genius level playing behind him.
I just wish that EVERYONE IN THE WORLD GOT TO SEE ELVIS LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS SOMETHING YOU WOULD NEVER FORGET. I GOT TO SEE ELVIS IN 1972 YOU WOULDN'T EVEN BIINK YOUR EYES FOR FEAR YOU WOULD MISS SOMETHING
Have to say.. love me some MJ.. amazing songwriter, dancer, performer, and good voice... cannot be denied... and I grew up with Michael... Hell I've been stopped in an airport.. Michael Jackson... I'm like .. I'm a white green eyed blonde female lol .. no.. Michelle Jackson.. lol..Lord knows I love me som MJ music... but to me... Elvis is next level..His voice alone is just so incredible and to this day no one comes close. and commanding the stage like he did.. wow
Lol, My Dad was an Elvis impersonator. I was a young teen and when my Dad would get going, I'd hide my face. I loved Elvis and I loved my Dad more. When Dad brought out the guitar 🎸 , My Mom would go to have coffee with the neighbors husband because his wife came to watch my Dad.
Became a subcriber, because of your Elvis reactions, i love it! Looking forward to see you react to how the ladys react to 'Love me tender" LIVE FROM VEGAS 1970, wont give you any other clue, 😀🤣
You should add these three from the '68 Comeback Special (black leather sit-down) to your list: *One Night With You *Trying to Get to You *Love Me I think you'd enjoy them.
This song about a girl named Annie with mean throat game. They didnt know that back then 😂 the note he read was handed to him by girl in front row and thinking about Annie made him read it 😂
Oh please, he’s thrusting a mile a minute and the girls have to find a relief someway. So it’s either scream, faint or run onto the stage. Which by the way starts to happen later at his concerts. Most of them got dragged off but a few diehards made it through. One lady, hopped up behind him on stage when he was kneeling on the edge of the stage shaking hands and giving the girls a kiss. She grabbed him around his chest from the his back and yanked him so hard he fell backwards. By that time Security dragged her off but he looked a bit shaken. She was big and kind of manly so when he got up he put his coolness on again and walked to the other end of the stage. Elvis loved his fans. He used to go out of his way with autographs, px, shaking hands and kisses. But he said every once in awhile they become so over exuberant and would act crazy. I’m sure the head of security in both his team and the Hotels team had a talk in to. Elvis carried a little derringer in his boot just in case because he had a few scares. For men (drunk) got on stage but security grabbed 3 but the 4th one got to Elvis who gave him a karate kick right off the stage. Yes, he studied karate since in the service and continued it all his life. He felt if some jealous boyfriend got to him, he’d be ready. Plus they received a note saying if they didn’t give this man money he’d kidnap Lisa Marie his daughter and they had to call in the FBI and everything but the guy never showed. That’s the pitfalls of fame. 😊❤❤❤❤
If you don't know especially when he was starting out they would not let the camera show below the waist. He was a truly great performer. Use your imagination a little with this song. Didn't he say she went down to the truck stop!!!!!
I love all your reactions and the "secretary's" love of Elvis😂. @At ABtheKreator something titled approximately, the black communities reaction to Elvis came across my TH-cam feed. It t is very educational doc in 2 parts. Well worth a look. I grew up in the south and clearly remember the prejudice but not the level of hate some of these white people felt. Our parent's may have been home watching TV, listening to the radio, but a lot us white kids were down at the local hamburger joint that had a small dance floor and jukebox. We were dancing and loving those great r&r artists like Chuck Berry, Little Richard Fats Domino and Elvis. I think us kids got the best end of that bargain, and I am so grateful people were forced to change their actions toward black artists. Like Elvis, and you AB, I wish the prejudice by and toward everyone would go away.....and there has been progress
Please watch community black eccept Elvis part 1n2, he dedicated the song if l Can Dream to MLK n R Kennedy after assassination✌️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲love him all this year's thank for happy reactions✌️😍
Oh, Sir AB! You need . . . you NEED to listen to the original, authentic Polk Salad Annie by Tony Joe White, he who wrote the song, and made it a hit. A very different vibe!
There is an uncut version of this, where he starts with the words "we're gonna get dirty with ya" or something to that effect. I've had several Elvis fans tell me this was actually about the poke sallet... and I was 2nd guessing myself because I hear the intended filth in this song and how he delivers it. After the rare ucut version, I now know my inner perv was correct and I love Elvis being filthy. It suited him. Long live the King ❤
EP knew just what to do to make the women lose their minds 😂. The microphone thing was not a “thing” back then. He would do that during rehearsals too sometimes
I don't know if anyone is already said. This or you go back and read comments. But Polk salad is a real thing. And you have to double boil it or it's poisonous
don't read anything into it just him goofing around some people read something into it but nothing, that note he was reading probably came from some lady if i had to guess!!
He says Annie's mother was a straight razor totin woman. His simulating her slicing someone's throat with the razor. Why can't anyone ever get that. I dunno.
The King...................
OH, MY GOD! He still gives me heart palpitations. No one will ever be better.😍😍
Im with you honey 🤣🤣
I ❤️ elvis.
THE KING!
The Vibe. Elvis was the first one to name it a SHOW. Concerts were no longer just about standing at the mic to sing or play. Elvis was an entertainer with a God crafted voice of the ages.
That card was a note from a girl in the audience probably her Hotel and room number 😂😆
Elvis was and will always be the best, beautiful generous soul
Elvis was in total control of his band with his right arm and head nods. Sometimes he would go wild to see if the band, especially the drummer, could keep up. (like with Suspicious Minds)
He loved when he and Ronny Tuft went at it together. Totally in Elvis’s prime!
The KING!🐐💯🔥Been a fan since I was 6 years old (1958)!🤗❤️✌️

you GOTTAAAA do a reaction to his 68 come back special (black leather suit) to "trying to get to you" ...the vocal and performance is SOLID!!
Elvis such an amazing performer! 😊

Completely agree.❤
He was tearing that Polk salads up lol
Laughing my ass off, hilarious.
I still miss him everyday.
The coordination between the band and Elvis' hand/arm movements are so fluid the appear as one.

That's a fantastic story to tell. That's almost as good as one of Lisa-Marie's memories of Elvis going to her school once for parents evening 😂

Originally recorded and written by Tony Joe White.
Birth of swamp rock

AB you ever eat Polk Salad? I actually went in the woods and picked it. Now I'm in Tennessee Polk grows in the flower bed it just keeps coming back.
------ yeah, I did. I got sick as hell. But all the pretty colors I saw made up for it.
Please watch community black eccept Elvis part 1n2, he dedicated the song if l Can Dream to MLK n R Kennedy after assassination✌️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲love him all this year's thank for happy reactions✌️😍
I love your reactions. I'd love for you to react to Bobby Hatfield singing, "Summertime." If you do, make sure someone is standing by with an AED.
Oh, Sir AB! You need . . . you NEED to listen to the original, authentic Polk Salad Annie by Tony Joe White, he who wrote the song, and made it a hit. A very different vibe!
im all in best react channel and best player

Why do people have to have dirty minds?!? He would do that with his mic for sound effect.. NO OTHER REASON!!
Could you please listen to Fear of the dark (iron Maiden) live in Rio. I think you will love it ❤
Just tonight I've listened to music fom when I was yong. I'd love to see you react to the song "Civil war" by Guns n roses.
Tony Joe White needs to be on your radar
I neeeeed you to listen to the Tesky Brothers.
EP knew just what to do to make the women lose their minds 😂. The microphone thing was not a “thing” back then. He would do that during rehearsals too sometimes
This is a cover of a Tony Joe White song. From a performance aspect, Elvis kills it. From a song quality standpoint, the original is much better.
It's mutton chops...not pork chops, lol!
I don't know if anyone is already said. This or you go back and read comments. But Polk salad is a real thing. And you have to double boil it or it's poisonous
M Jackson not up there with Elvis,MJ was great, but Elvis is King him and the Beatles started an uproar in the music industry!!
Deep throated
Gove a ch3😊
don't read anything into it just him goofing around some people read something into it but nothing, that note he was reading probably came from some lady if i had to guess!!
Poke salad.
POKE salad! Not polk!
One of my least favorite songs by the king
He says Annie's mother was a straight razor totin woman. His simulating her slicing someone's throat with the razor. Why can't anyone ever get that. I dunno.
Michael little boy lover Jackson wasn't fit to hold Elvis cape
