DaeHyun's vocal is on point here. He definitely worked on fine tuning the studio version from his Japan lives. His Japan lives were great from the video uploads I saw. But there were times where he strained the notes a bit too much to hit one note higher. Even he admits that he always pushes himself on lives sometimes to a fault. However, in this version, the execution was perfect. The range from his low at the beginning to the high in the chorus and ending. Nothing overdone. His voice here cuts through the emotions, transporting you into the story he's telling. Line by line, one emotion at a time.
At last, we can see him standing there proving to everyone that he has the talent to not only be a vocalist for KPOP, but also as a solo artist and performer in a musical. The latter an elite group recognized for their singing abilities which often times surpasses that of mainstream artists. Our DaeHyun now also belongs to that group! Like DaeHyun had mentioned hardwork does not betray.
Congratulations DaeHyun! Your endless dedication to your art is truly starting to reap its rewards. The biggest reward is not for you though, but for us, the ones who are able to continue to enjoy your angelic/melodic voice.

When is Daehyun making a return with these amazing soft sad or dark concept. I miss his work. Somehow his beside are better then his title songs. In his beside he really shows his vocal abilities like this or Dark Light, but in Aight I saw nothing like an extraordinary high note/ falsetto or choreography dancing. It is sad, because people will judge by title song only if you have talent or not. Which Daehyun definitely has❤😊.
