so happy they boston made use of porzingis the way he should be utilized to the fullest extent of his potential. If he was in dallas he would be sttanding in the corner waatching luka dribble the ball for 23 seconds before making an awkward pass to someone. rofl
THANK YOU! Finally! Someone else said it! Apart from immaturity of both young stars, it was Rick's responsibility to figure out how to utilize Porzingis. His "analytical" reasoning to abandon post-ups and refusing to draw plays with KP in the paint is ridiculous. KP proved his ability to post up and work in and around the paint in NY, later in Washington and now is THE BEST in the NBA while in Boston. But Lukas Passive-Aggressive manner to just stop giving ball to KP is a bad look. I saw the same thing this year as well, when if a teammate misses a few shot early, he will not get a ball from Luka again for a very long time no matter how open he is. In that regard, being Luka's teammate is a curse. Because he dominates the ball so much and can become very petty and your career depends on his opinion of you.
imo i think they won the series because of him. game 3 the mavs went crazy in the paint but in the first two games with porzingis they couldn’t. if he wasn’t in game 1 or 2 mavs could’ve won and the momentum would’ve been much different
@@johnjawn_ you can’t say he won the series for them when he only played in 2 games (home games at that). They won by the same margin without him in game 3 as they did with him in game 2. He is a bonus when he’s healthy but they don’t suffer without him.
Luka prefers pick and roll bigs... KP is more of a jump shooter... Dallas has a perfect big man pairing with Luka. They should try to get Klay or a good 3 n D wing
I went back and watched the video from those games. PK Would go to the arc without setting picks. Him being at the arc makes it so no one is under the basket for rebounds.
I'm honestly not mad at Porzingis at all, because especially in playoffs that's where they should've played their best basketball, but then they said "oh just stand in the corner and shoot, that's it" like they could've used him more as a pick n pop or roll partner, or someone to be in the high post or low post more and get rebounds when needed🤷♂️
So far after the KP trade Mavs have made it to the WCF and the Finals. Now the season in-between they lost JB and traded for Kyrie. Now they have a locked in squad. Let's see what happens this off-season.
Dudes over 7'1" are a gamble, once you get that tall you become exponentially more injury-prone. You can still have a great career like Yao Ming, and be a very skilled player like Wembanyama, but it's just a matter of time. Yao was really good, but he only had two seasons where he played 82 games, same with Bol, same with Shawn Bradley, same with Ralph Sampson, and Muresan never played 82 games.
There is something about being 7"1' and more where you have to live healthy. I noticed the Vegetarian centers develop ankle problems, Bill Walton famously had those issue. James Donaldson went Vegetarian the started having ankle problems. His ankles got better after he added chicken breast back into his Diet. Kareem in later in his career went Vegetarian and developed ankle problems.
@@faervas1234 I don't know if that's causal, Kareem was 42 when he retired, which is ancient by NBA standards even if he wasn't 7 foot 2. I don't think any amount of dieting was going to extend his career at that age. It's also just the physics of it, you can get taller, but your joints don't get much stronger, and your feet don't get big enough to compensate so you end up with joint and back problems.
Obviously Luca is one of the best players of this day n age, but he just seems sooo toxic. To everyone who has to step on court with him (refs/teammates/,coaches/opponents)
Seems like Luka's body language speaks volumes but I think mostly, Luka just knows what it takes to win and thought KP was in the way of that. Still, KP hits those open 3s from just about any angle.
Well considering kristaps has missed a majority of the playoffs, the mavs made the right decision, maybe the mavs shouldve tried to get more for him but they made the smart move by moving on from him. His injuries will only get worse as he ages.
Horrible trade? Bruh you sound casual af lmao. That trade got us to the WCF, KP may be an all star but he's maximized by the Celtics because they're so deep. I called him getting hurt in this series before it even started. Dude is kawhi level unreliable
That’s crazy you disrespected spencer by talking about his stats on the lakers😂 decided not to tell what his stats was THAT YEAR!? But you did for the other guy lmao
It wasn't about KP leading the team. It was about utilizing him correctly to maximize his impact on the team, which became less frequent after the first year. His injuries were obviously an issue, but even when he was on the court, he was still being reduced.
@@urbaindelva7869 i see your point, What i was thinking was, if the two couldent agree and one has to go i would pick Luka. But the best ofc would have been them getting along and playing well. But KP has a ring now :D honey on the wound., :d cant wait for the next season bro. Not just for Mavs, but so many teams look intresting.
do the stats of what he passes to kyrie please, his playing style is just bad, he gets more points and assists because he is always on the ball unlike jokic he is a hog,,,,,but we praise him for that,, Kyrie might relate better with Dallas fanbase and Luka given his experience and age but Luka hasn't changed the way he plays
dude is almost averaging a triple double. That means he is getting assist. Even in his 40 plus games he is getting a high number of assist. He is the point guard and the game plan goes through him as design. You don't watch the games because you would know before this year in the 4th quarter how many times they list games because the team would miss open jumper like there was a lid on the basket. You see this all the time with point guard super stars. They said the same thing about MJ when he had a crappy team. He was passing the ball but the were not making the buckets.
@@faervas1234 one interesting thing about stats if you look at them shallowly you get a shallow answer how would Luka stand if you brought a stat like the assist of the assistor, how would he stand? if you are ball-dominant/hog it may also mean that you are mostly dominant and you are forced to pass because of being locked up and that is me not saying there is a possibility of cooking up the stats, but go watch Luka/Jokic, you will realise jokic triple doubles he is not always on the ball everyone in the team is doing their role, for Luka he is always on the ball
Luka is not a superstar. Luka is not an MVP. Luka is a good offensive player with no ability to lead. He is only about his stats. The NBA tried putting him on a pedestal, it isn't working as they hoped.
We are way better off with Lively and Kyrie over a crippled as always KP who you can never depend on and is toxic. Good for him for being on a great team that hardly needs him. Or maybe they do need him? 😅 celts better win game 5
We have Lively and Kyrie instead now. Waaaay better than a crippled as always loser teammate in KP. Good for him he’s on a great team that might not even need him.

KP is a nice guy I’m sure he’ll show Luka what his championship ring looks like
Send him a pic of it once a week.
Right cuz Luka's not a champion
the celtics basically won that title without him. He barely played this past playoffs
@@johnkurian4529 He cooked Mavs game 1. Pretty hardcore stuff

The way Kristaps playing in this finals yeah they had beef 😂😂😂
😂 Yep. Game 1 Porzingis looked determined for get back

I feel like it's more of a basketball problem than others.
The coach should've help KP to find a role on offense than just put him i the corner.
As you can see even with this playoff run, Porzingis cannot stay healthy. Clearly Boston is set up where they didn’t really need him.
Shutup he fried y’all in Game 1

Nothing like Mike giving us his original views on what's happening!!! Thanks for the post, my man!!!
Now look He’s up 3-0 against Luka in the nba finals
His team is…yea
He’s injured after playing 2 games…that why Mavs traded him
***the Celtics are up 3-0. Porzingis just happens to be there.
You mean his team is, he's missed a majority of the playoffs so the mavs made the right decision.
Definitely not because of him. He only played 6 games this entire playoff run
Washington ended up with Poole and Bagley.
GS should have offered Poole and Wiseman
Porzingis would help GS a lot (when healthy)
