Excellent demonstration!! This new Peavey module seems to have the most bite of all the Synergy modules. Sounds like the head and with even a little more bite. Crunch City.
Leon, Your gear reviews are awesome, but what brings me back is how you express the sheer joy some of us feel when fully engaged in playing. Reminds me to not take my playing so seriously and get back to having fun with it. Thanks for continuing to inspire….
Amazing how the tone of an amp influences how you play! That’s what I like about my synergy modules, each one makes the same guitar feel different to the touch and changes my attack and how I play chords. We are living in an amazing time right now with so much tone available at our fingertips! Great vid as always.
Love how you keep that vibrato note going for so long, pushed back in the mix at 1:13. A tip of the hat to Lifeson's "Limelight"? 😁 All the Synergy modules sound really great. I don't know how he manages to get those tones packed in there.
Just got my 6505 yesterday, and I have to admit it sounds a LOT the SLO module that I already have. I love the SLO module, and the 6505 doesn't give me much of a different sound.
@@austinfailz Very possible. I think the 5150 has more of a deep grinding sound, whereas the SLO 100 is more like a Marshall on a lot of extra Cappuccino.
Great video and I just started watching.. Man, I love your rhythms brother! The chord choices are killer! Just killer and of course your legato is legend sir! You have that Paul Gilbert thing going on! Very cool. I can tell you learned watching his vids.. 😛 Those PRS pickups sound pretty cool and sound like they're just hot! Very cool.. Sounds sick! Of course it does. It’s a 6505. I have a full sized 6505+, i was trying to figure out what kind of speakers to get v30’s or greenbacks, but then I found the Friedman BE412 which has both. It’s a heavenly monster, worth every penny.
@@LeonTodd absolutely! Ironically, I’ve never had the pleasure of playing through a Mesa 412 v30s, but I’ve played a LOT of cabs, and the Friedman is by far my favorite. If only it was a bit lighter… thing weighs a TON! 😆
Very Cool, Thankyou. Awesome Sound and playing. I suppose this isn't that 1970's Lynyrd Skynyrd Peavey Sound I've been chasing, lol. But still sounded great also on the 'lower' gain you played. Cheers
I've nearly bought a 6505 a few times just to have that sound but I always tell myself "oh the Soldano is close enough I guess". VERY happy this module exists because I'm hooked on that tone.

That Amp didn't die!😠 It sacrificed itself working too hard and gave its all for you.😔 Man I miss my Cherry Red/Black Peavey Patriot with tremolo. The blade pickups had a nice sound to them as well. Hey Leon . Thanks for your another great movie. The sounds from the Synergy in amazing. Please let me know is this module Peavey is with the tubes ? Happy easter !!

Hey Leon, wanted to get your advice, I’m tossing up between getting into synergy modules or alternatively getting a quad cortex. My main use is going to be reamping, and tracking. I’m religiously a Les Paul into a JVM or Jube guy, however I really want different tones for tracking. No live use. No need for fx. Really just wanting 5150, vh4 and recto tones.
