The founder of the Fuji Ryu Jujutsu system was Philip Scrima, during the early 60's in Brooklyn. My teacher was Grandmaster Rahim El-Amin...he used to talk about Doctor Moses Powell and held him in high regard. I enjoy watching videos posted by the Sanuces schools...respect!!! Ous!

I know your name but I can’t place your face. Did you train with us when I was a kid at LVAC or did you make it to the rec center?

@@MilkDudSupreme Yes brother, I was Grandmaster's first student in 1986 when he came to Las Vegas. I believe you received your Fourth Dan.
I'm back in Vegas now...Not sure if the school is able to train because of COVID-19

Ivan Williams I haven’t heard of it opening up because of just how public the building is. And i don’t think any of us would want him exposed to nothing.

This art is extremely deadly and it will cause extreme pain to end a fight. Thank you Professor Moses Powell and Little John.
May I please suggest who ever is video taping please record all sides and Angles I couldn’t see some of the techniques because of the way the professor was positioned.

One thumb down ? Poor confused people. I'm from BROWNSVILLE in Brooklyn and EVERYTHING this man says and teaches is GOLD. He's not a fake tough guy. He's the personification of the term tough guy and one of the GREATEST SD men on this planet PERIOD. Professor H Kalaek is another. These men are the TRUTH. Ous and respect for the martial gods.🙏🏼🙏🏾🐅

He focuses on teaching the "4 basic kicks" aka (front, side, back, and roundhouse) and what appears to be BJJ.
I trained with him for a while as a kid.

I know that the late Dr. Moses Powell had a lot of gifted students but when you say Doc you have to say Soke Little John Davis and Anthony Muhammad. I pray that healing is taking place in the Sanukus family and the stress ,strife and division has been shown the door. Ous!

I went to school in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. You asked about about sparring I don't think you want to spar these guys. Also studied under Ron Austin they don't need much sparring... You don't want it

      Troy Jones,
Check this link. These are Royce Gracie black belts showing self defense. These are the Gracie Jiu Jitsu techniques that masters like Rickson say are the MAIN COMPONENT of Jiu Jitsu.
      m.th-cam.com/video/Qwhl10FP_Lk/w-d-xo.html
Notice how they go back and forth taking turns. In Japanese this is known as KATA, because the attacker knows the opponent is going to do and cooperates with it, learning the skills to flow. What you need to realize is self defense cannot be trained easily with free sparring(randori). Nonetheless one can develop a high degree of skill through training Kata when drilled over and over again to the point of developing muscle memory. The men and women who have training under the Sanuces umbrella have a high skill level in traditional Jiu Jitsu which is(and this is important) a SELF DEFENSE ART.... Judo has it, Gracie Jiu Jitsu has it, Sambo has it, a self defense curriculum which is the foundation of the art. Free Sparring, Randori is also proven to develop skill level but its training is sport, sport is applicable to reality and will help you self defense capacity but sport is not reality.
the Self Defense capabilities of all the affiliated schools of Sanuces are among the best.
