Such a lovely film,so sad, because the love that they were able to share would have given him a life with a few more years if he had been able to understand that love conquers all and that his disabilities terrible though they were would not have destroyed the relationship.The saddest thing is that the disabled person cannot accept being unable to live as they always have, heartbreaking

Anybody read the actual book? I listened to it on audiobook. It is based on a book , many of you dont seem to know that. The characters are portrayed in film very similar to the ones in the book. It is really a great job done in film.
