I bought Attar Harsingar/Moulsree from one of the Kannauj perfumers and it is lovely for layering as well as on its own. It's a beauty in the mad Bombay heat. So is Gulab and Khus. With you on the longevity point, I find that ittars dabbed on clothes or hair rather than skin tend to provide much better longevity.

we apply khus attar on cotton cloth/cotton buds and keep diffnt areas house during summer. feels very good

Besides that Middle Eastern brands like Abdul Samad al qurashi where can he find these in India (both online and in actual stores )
