I live just a short train journey away from York, lovely place. Loved the paintings 👍 I've been tempted to paint the Shambles many a time, but feel a bit daunted by the thought. You captured it very well. I love doing autumnal paintings too, lovely colours and I usually make a mess of green foliage.. he he. Happy new year to you and yours, I look forward to seeing your new studio.
Two examples of your fine work, and so very different the night scene vs the forest in fall colours. I enjoyed the contrast you created with the lights and dark, reflects the season well.
Stunning!!! I love watercolor but am absolutely pants at it. I'm far too heavy handed, and wish I could control it better, however just the process of putting colour on paper makes me happy, and that's what is important. Loved your video, thanks so much for sharing your techniques. Xx
I absolutely agree... the process, and the pleasure it brings, is really all that counts - if you enjoy it, then you're doing something right. Thanks for the great comment.
@@peterwoolleyartist you're very welcome, thanks for your lovely videos, perhaps I might learn to use watercolors more effectively. How brilliant would that be? 🤣. If not I'll just carry on enjoying the process. Xx
Great video Peter. Sorry I had to leave the student service, money is too tight for me at the moment but its been a great 2/3 years learning with you. Great videos as ever. - Happy New Year!
Hi Paul - no worries re subscription - as long as you got something out of it, that's all that matters. Thanks for the great comment - and... Happy New Year right back atchya...
Hi Minerva - yes both demonstrations will be available in the online tuition service (the autumn scene has already been published, the Night scene will be following in very soon...). Thanks for the lovely comment!
Excellent choice, Y❤rk and its Shambles!!! I know it is, but you make it look Magical at Night.. what a gem! Says all bout your skills!
This is such a beautiful and interesting video. I like the combination of showing the city and the areas around it, as well as the paintings.

I love your work. You amaze me. I've wanted to do an autumnal scene from our deer hunting property with a red mud puddle....

Little pieces of information, but holds secret to your fresh luminous painting--- paint light and let white of paper glow through.... hmm... Eureka!!
Very beautiful autumn scene, will the city night scene also be awailable as a real time tutorial ?
