  • In this Intermediate Handpan lesson, we learn a pattern based off a combination of 3/4 and paradiddle rhythms. This is great for precision fills or melodic flare. I hope you enjoy the tutorial :)

This is so damn cool!! Your notation is amazingly helpful and easy to follow! Can’t wait to get back home from Indiana so I can practice this. Great lesson Peter! Super excited for your courses coming out soon. ❤️❤️

💓💓💓 I like the notation system a lot, Its just how my brain thinks, and its helped me reverse engineer a lot of my playing, refine, record, and explore new ideas. It definitely gets better the more we use it, as you know, using it as a student for some time now. I developed the system back in 2009 for didgeridoo but didn't use it a bunch until I started teaching Handpan in 2012. I am consistently blown away at how quickly students seem to learn with it. Im súper grateful people connect with it 🙏🏽

Another great wonderful piece of a brilliant Handpan-Tutorial.
Great Notation. Nice and challenging Pattern.
I like that you are talking about the notation in this way „It is how my brain is working“. Wonderful, many people are not learning good cause they often not discover their own way of learning. Learn how to learn is an individual thing ... needs to be discovered.
Well presented and you are including all stuff to be successful:
    1) Fun
... to have a good mood
    2) Notation
    ... helpful for remembering
    3) Slow down
... first things first, pace comes later alone
    4) Break down
... makes it easier to start
    5) Don’t be frustrated
... challenging to keep going forward and build passion within Thinks needs Time and Practice
    6) You master the Pattern by yourself
... build up trust that you are knowing what must be done furthermore
Thank you. Keep going. Stay healthy.
    Cheers ... Stefan.

I really like the way you teach drumming. You break it down into easy steps. Would you be so kind as to give a brief description of your drum. I love the sound. I've been looking at some of the drums on Symphonic Steel's website. I have heard the quality is outstanding. The Iskra model in D minor is a favourite so far... Thanks for another great video!

My pleasure :) thanks for watching. The instrument I am playing is a D Kurd Makai. David is a wonderful builder based out of Hawaii. Sean’s Iskras are great too. I know them both and can speak to their skill and commitment to quality.
