WONDERFUL!! I have some suggestions in the last video and it looks like you used them without having read them lol. I love your kiln openings so much. I can tell you love what you do. Your excitement over the lid coming off was so joyful!! I recently made a spool jar for a friend that is a quilter and the lid is completely stuck! I also made a casserole dish that was supposed to be able to be put in the oven but the lid fused to the base. It’s so hard to know what to do with them. It’s so beautiful but can’t be used. Right now it’s above my cabinets looking pretty and collecting dust. Can’t wait to see how your mother of pearl and gold come out. I love doing cone 018 firings since they are so fast and you get to see it right away. Oh and another thing. Your clam bowls are extraordinary!! They are literally perfect!! I eat kosher but I absolutely adore them. They couldn’t look any more like a clam. Your stamp is beautiful as well!! Your egg pieces would look amazing with overglaze decals in them.
Thank you so much ! I am only workin in my own studio now not taking classes at the Community center. So I really miss the interaction with my fellow potters. I love all your comments and it’s so nice to know that this happens to everybody sooner or later. But I love what I do. What my idea was with the eggs is to make them very contemporary, mounting them onto a black wood frame and adding gold on the inside or silver or copper. I haven’t worked with overglaze decals yet, but I think the big vase might be a really good candidate what do you think?
Absolutely beautiful. Love to watch your kiln openings! Have a great show.
Exquisite, such elegant and delicate pieces... 😍😍
I was holding my breath when you took the lid off the casserole!! It worked!! Beautiful pieces, just found you😊
I have so many of those moments like that. All that work and at the last second a mess. But not this time.
