using a merging technology Anubis converter
via an Earthwork SR25 microphone plugged plugged to a Vovox xlr CAble

C'est drôle, j'ai fait exactement le même genre d'essais quand j'ai acheté mes ATC SCM20ASL il y a quelques mois.
J'ai discuté avec l'importateur VOVOX en France (très sympa d'ailleurs) et il m'a fait parvenir une paire de XLR en Excelsus.
J'avais déjà une paire de Sonorus d'une précédente installation et je savais globalement à quoi m'attendre. J'ai retrouvé toutes les qualités attendues mais aussi une certaine acidité que j'avais déjà remarqué en magasin et que les ATC vous retransmettent sans trop de pitié.
Cela se traduisait par une envie (pathologique ?) de toucher aux réglages de Treble de mon RME ADI à pratiquement toutes les pistes. Pas très agréable à la longue.
L'Excelsus est arrivé une semaine après, et l'amélioration a été immédiate et significative. Les aigus sont passés de "supportables après EQ" à "naturels et on arrête de se poser des questions". Great success !
Tout au plus ai-je conservé une sélection de 3 filtres sur le RME, pour pouvoir gérer les morceaux les plus mal enregistrés.
J'ai fini par commandé une paire d'Excelsus en custom 2m et je n'ai pas eu une once de regret depuis. C'est pas donné mais "la qualité reste, le prix s'oublie".
Excellent 👌. J espère passer la totalité du studio en Excelsus. Est ce que votre utilisation est studio ou audiophile ?

Do the nul test to eliminate placebo. Record something trough cheap and then trough expensive cables and reverse the phase.
It s done in the other test, you could if you want download the files an nul test them.
Im kind of missing the results of the measurement. Or was this just a listening Test?

To go to the monitors definitly Vovox excelsus. for interconnection btw mastering rig, i wil test in the coming weeks.
@@olivierclasse Thx for the Feedback.. Yes for the Mastering / Outboard Interconnection is Interesting too what is the best Way to go.. Maybe u can test wich is the best Cable for Microphone Connection 👌🏻
@@artistahmed266 i can't answer for microphones cables. i never tried and don't own good mic cables for now. i'm focus on mastering but i'll be interested to listen to test also. with various cables.

first time listening this comparison i found difference where vovox sounded better, but after some time i cant hear the difference
The difference was more obvious being in the room, to bee honest. maybe you could listen to the wav file. link in the description below, the video. then, it's true difference in cable are subtle.
to me the best way to compare is aligning the wav files in you do and switching from a file to the other. best, Olivier

Would u recommend the excelsus for mixing
No, it’s a bit of an overkill, makes sense on very long chain as in mastering, for mixing, for me, I might stick to the usual suspects like mogami or direct s + neutrik gold or something of this kind. Excelsus, why not if you re on a no limit budget.
@@olivierclasse would it be overkill to buy for my Neve recording console or maybe some hifi audiophile grade interconnect cables to a lavry savitrnim mixing through the Lavry Savitr and monitoring the input
@@1kingstan795 if you are in a top quality aesthetic, sure.
From the console to the savitr for sure.
For monitoring yes it’s a luxury but yes (I monitor using excelsus myself)
Then if you could afford interconnects via excelsus, go for it, sure it won’t arm.
Depending of the country you re in, maybe start with a couple, send a message to vovox they are very helpful
