Great reaction! I really like how the demons are presented here. Evil, but not in the way we're accustomed to thinking of it. They are evil in the same way that wolves are evil in the eyes of the rabbit. It's in their nature.
The absolute heartbreak on Himmel's face during the flash back totally got to me. You can see his hope for peace fade during the confrontation with the demon child. It's beautiful storytelling.
unlike the demon army that was planning to attack the city, I think the little demon who said "mom" was more of a survival instinct like a defense mechanism

Demons this Anime are so good at deception that even when the protagonist tells you and shows you multiple times that demons are animals who don't know half of the shit they're saying, it's all BS! Reactors even see the demon admitting it. 2 seconds later "You killed my father" everyone starts feeling sympathy! XD Like you were told just seconds ago! 😂 I fucking love watching people react to this! Cracks me up each time!
Thats where they get a little confusing, honestly. The demons clearly have a culture, a hierarchy, and even have interests, like learning a certain type of magic. They are apparently solitary by nature but can live in large groups when it's a benefit to them, and function well together as a society. They are, for all intents and purposes, a true people. It's just that they are all apparently born with an inherent bloodlust and a case of complete psycopathy.
@@Goomsies I think they have hierarchy but i dont think they have culture, they are like animals where the strongest leads the pack. The only spell they seem to share amongst eachother was flight.
@@viperstrike0 But that's not true. We've seen the demon king's castle, so they work together enough to have architecture. Everything else I mentioned also points to a culture. It's probably not anything close to human culture, but it IS a culture. With all the evidence we've been given, I don't think it's possible they don't have one.

I dont think demons in this world really have a culture beyond the strongest conquer. They are just psychopaths unable to really have connections.
