I've almost watched all these F-16C Tutorials, and constantly referencing back to them while I'm learning to become a F-16 driver. I am extremely grateful for these tutorials! I wanted to get good at the A-10C but then I saw the F-16C block 50 and I realized I could have a comparable A-G aircraft but a much more capable A-A fighter. This plane freaking rocks, such a great multi-purpose fighter!

@@Lxcx333well yeah, the A-10 is an attack aircraft, the F-16 is a fighter. Of course the A-10 is gonna be better in A-G

Thank you so much for this!! I spent a few hours screaming around the skys with my targeting pod swinging around wildly and not getting anywhere! I hope after work, armed with this extremely clear explanation, I’m going to finally be able to release a bomb in ccrp mode.
I like how there’s obviously a lot going on in the cockpit, but it’s all laid out pretty clearly with SOI and track types and reference indicators all helping you understand wtf is going on.

The actual pilots who flew multiple aircraft say their favorite was the Viper. A lot of nations have bought and fly the 16. The plane is legendary.
When in CCIP with the TGP, the TGP LOS is slaved to the CCIP pipper location. Thanks

Is this standard functionality? Or is this just temporary during the beta to avoid having your WP skew constantly with the workaround like it does in CCRP?

My understanding is that when in CCIP mode the TGP slaves to CCIP pipper location to act as a laser range finder.
I had a weird bug in the night bombing mission. The TGP just didn’t work. It appeared booted up and slaved to a waypoint, but was not actually there either. Couldn’t change it until changing to a new plane. Might have just been a one off bug though

Is there really no way to get the CCRP mode on without having air-to-ground ordnance on a pylon? Kinda sucks that we can't use all of the TGP features without carrying bombs essentially.
Leaves me wondering if its intended or not..
How do you pause the plane but keep the other vehicles, your radar, etc working? That would be SUPER handy!!
hey i have this problem with the targeting pod and its kind of hard to explain but ill do my best and you did not cover this in your video about the targeting pod but anyway so what happens is when i press down to re-cage the targeting pod it will look only in one direction so say if i went over a target and the pod was working fine looking where i wanted it to and if i re-caged it while flying in a specific direction i could easily slew it back to the target but if i flew over the target and turned around and then re-caged the targeting pod after turning around it will re-cage to a position looking behind the aircraft and it takes forever to try and slew the targeting pod to look towards the front of the aircraft why is that its really irritating and i wish i knew how to make it so that the targeting pod will simply unlock from the ground and follow wherever the plane looks until i press up for it to lock on to area or point then it will stay locked to one position on the ground

Watching you guys slew the pipper so smoothly and effortlessly is frustrating for me. I don't have a great option for slewing with the HOTAS WARTHOG. The slew control, RDR CURSOR Switch X and Y-Axis is very difficult to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nice video. So it is possible to lase the target with F-16 and TGP to my buddy in F-18 with GBU-12 loaded? Does he need anything more, than having the bomb set to proper laser code and just drop it, while I´m lasing? Thank You.
Yup, just ensure lase codes are the codes are the same.

Where would i find The DMS Down binary in the controls? I type up DMS And nothing comes up.
(DMS) refers to Display Management Switch, i hope this helps if you havent found it yet or for anyone in the near future.

When in A-G mode TGP is not only slaved to the waypoint but moving it actually moves waypoint around. Is it how it's supposed to work or am I doing something wrong? It's super confusing, Cap pls halp :(

Oh. I thought I just cant use f-16 tpod, but the drift is my goddam hotas!(?) Or thats how it seems, did no test it yet. But have before seen problem in other mods with my t.16000m cheap throttle, where dcs goes "over" the drivers own "deadzone on "thumb"stick" enabled / disabled setting (in windows 10 own gaming controllers settings there is one..) (the stick somehow in dcs just seems not to go to point zero, but when dcs off it goes when looking in windows 10 own measurement tools (which of are kinda crappy but still clearly it does so...). Gotta try this. heck this drifting of tpod after pressing cz has confused me since jumping from hornet to viper.. I really had troubles keeping targets on tpod (or the tpod in targets to be clear), but is it goddam just drift of my controllers :D ?
Does the f-15e has a tpod and is there a English radio and cockpit in specials option for the mig-21.
There is english cockpit option in special page for MIG-21, F-15E does have the capability for a tpod but we don't have the flyable 'E' version in DCS. We have the 'C' which is for A/A only. The 'C's were later upgraded to use TPODs but not the one in DCS.

Yup, if you have an axis control set up, then do an Axis Tune and reduce the two middle setting, I can;t remember what they are called as I write this, sorry.
