Maybe beating Jesus is a stretch.. 🤔 Temur's still a junior next year though and Cenk is only recently up into the 120kg+ class. What do you guys think?
some context about cenk dropping to 350kg for his openner: while warming up with 170kg, he hurt his lats and thought about no showing to deadlifts. ultimately, he decided it would be not like him to just quit and decided to drop down the weight and give it a go. he was feeling better by time, and loaded 400.5kg.
Temur's got huge potential to maybe one day beat Ray William's best total (e.g. reasonable to think he could one day squat 460kg, bench 260kg, and deadlift 420kg which would be a 1,130kg total - 27.5kg above Ray Williams best). But I think Jesus is too far ahead and will continue to progress really fast. Cenk probably not, but who knows.
I think Temur is pretty close to Jesus’s numbers at the same age. Anyway, in 5 years we could have so many freaks. Only two years ago it looked like Jessica Buettner would be undisputed 76 queen for years to come, now she’s the third best.
It'd be nice to see some competition for Jesus. Barring injury, I don't see anyone besting him for a long while. He's so far ahead already and steadily improving.
Temur has a huge potential and he will for sure close some gap with Jesus. Don't look down on Odin either, his progression is just crazy and he has a LOT of headroom. And of course, those who think that big Ray is done are fools. He is still young, and working like a madman to make a big comeback.
If Temur can break Jesus Olivares's junior records that can give us an indication on how well he might do in the future. I don't think he has the rapid strength progress as Jesus but he can still get the strength of Jesus maybe when he's 30 or so. Either way Temur is a gifted powerlifter and one of only four powerlifters to total 1000kg or more raw as a junior inside an IPF-affiliated meet. As for Cenk, his deadlift progress slowed down but is still among the best deadlifters in powerlifting. His squat progress has gone up fast as well as his bench press is progressively increasing. I think he'll be a very competitive 120+ when he gains more weight.
Temur has a really big potential maybe in future why not. Also Cenk koçak’s İpf point is higher he has a lot of room in weight gain if he adds more kg on his bodyweight who knows .
To be honest i don't think Cenk is in the running to beat Jesus. I do believe he can still battle for gold on the deadlift. Temur is the one Jesus must prepare for. Temur beat Jesus's squat and total junior record and he only needs to bench more than 252.5 to break not only all of Jesus's records but all the junior records, something Jesus couldn't do. Either way it'll be a fun battle to watch, seeing 1,000 kilo totals more commonly and it may happen in the under 120 class as well.

One of my friends also competed in the 120+ class that day, his name is Martin Simonsen, he took the bronze medal in bench🥉
Strong geeza!

yeah fair point, people are also forgetting that Jesus himself only started taking powerlifting seriously in 2019 so we can never know
True dat

The answer is simple, someone will eventually beat Jesus. Will it be this guy? We will see.
