This is The Great Race it’s the 1978 Hardie-Ferodo at Mount Panorama Bathurst for over 15 years it has been the biggest event in Australian Motorsport that gets bigger every year all those moments and memories from the greatest race circuit in Australia Mount Panorama Bathurst this is the 16th year of the Bathurst 1000 with the Superstars of Australian Touring Cars of Peter Brock, Dick Johnson, Allan Moffat, Jim Richards, Bob Morris, Allan Grice, Colin Bond, Kevin Bartlett, Colin Bond, Fred Gibson, John Harvey, Garry Rogers and much more now it’s The Great Race of 1978 there are 55 cars in the field for the 1979 Hardie-Ferodo 1000 this is The Great Race from Mount Panorama Bathurst this is the 1978 Hardie-Ferodo 1000 on Channel Seven enjoy the video.

The so called mighty 351 ford road blocks having their asses handed to them by the FAR superior in another universe A9X toranas. Moffat bond and Johnson wallowing all over the track pissing fuel out the tanks of the overrated land barges. And as the fords crest Conrods hunmps you can see the front rise into the sky almost lifting while the torana remains totally in control. No wonder they were thrashed so mercilessly.
