- In this video I take you on my journey to getting the platinum trophy for Infamous Second Son on the PS4. A game that I had previously played but fell off of pretty quickly but so glad that I gave it another shot as it was a great experience!

Infamous Second Son was actually the reason I chose to buy a PS4 during that generation of gaming, no regrets, fantastic game. And yeah, I platinumed it.
I love it and I just don't understand the hate for it tbh

This game was so damn fun. The smoke power had me smiling ear to ear with how it looks. Reminded me of shadow powers and thought it was just too cool
I will say smoke was really cool, all of the powers were great. Completely different to your typical electric, fire and ice abilities
31:25 About that, there's a secret ending if you spare Hank but play evil karma otherwise.
In that scenario Delsin will still be disowned by the tribe but instead of commet dropping he'll just leave.

You can get it as long as you have 4 or less karma

But I did spare hank giving me that 4 karma so I think it might be decision tied
fun fact. The fight at 12:30 can be done with just the smoke power, no neon. I tried it out to see if there would be any special dialogue if you didn't interact with the neon for that fight, and unfortunately, there isn't. They act as though you used Neon during the fight anyways.
Only problem I have with the video, 3:12 Delsin isn't trying to escape, he's trying to protect his brother. Hank is shooting at Reggie, he's pulling his hand to stop him. I dont actually have a problem with the video, just pointing out something honestly truely very brotherly in the game, and making a joke, but Reggie and Delsin's dynamic is the most honest portrayal of siblings I've seen in a game ever
My favourite power in the entire series is Neon, I absolutely love the precision of it, just one or 2 hits on standard enemies and they're either restrained or dead, and I adore the Karmic finishers for Neon both in this game and in Infamous First Light... which you should also platinum, it's another easy platinum as the Infamous games tend to be, although there are some difficult challenges.
Neon is a great ability, it’s strong and is very pretty to look at but for me it has to be the television power. I just love the look of the sword and the idea of bringing virtual beings to the real world. The karmic streak abilities though are a massive standout! After playing through this game though I really do want to go through the rest and I will definitely be platinuming first light and the rest of the series
@@WatsonKHD the problem with neon is that when you run, the screen has this "light up" effect that makes it feel sometimes like if youre looking at the sun.
I find it a shame, that Suckerpunch doesn'T work on a Port or Proper Remaster of InFamous 1 and 2. I love them, dearly! While Second Son is nice, it doesn't feel as....right to me as One and Two.
Would absolutely love to see a port or remaster of them in some way, I agree what you said. Second son is great but nothing beats the first two
@@WatsonKHDI am glad to hear that. Besides, while Second Son had a few memorable scenes and moments, there is still, nothing like InFamous 1s beginning. YOu fire the game up and press start, only for the blackout and the explosion to happen, to see a Bloody, and burned Cole in the epicenter, the player has no clue as much as COle as what happened or who did it. Or the Prison Mission, where you had to shoot back the Scrap Bombs of the Scrap Golems before they destroy the Walls, or the Boosfight against Sasha and the story She and Cole had in the past...it hit differently for sure.
Well they were busy with ghost of tsushima and that game is amazing so it makes sense

The fluidity of motion you can achieve, how badass it makes you feel, never found that feeling again.
Tbh even the evil ending to his tribe could be seen as merciful, they had the concrete in them still and it was instilled into us at the start of the game that they are not getting any better without help from a conduit and will die a slow death, that ending was most likely Delsin's evil way of putting an end to his tribe's suffering. (Though of course you are free to see it as Delsin just being a sycopath at this point of the story and having no remorse)
I really love this game, and the stand alone dlc too. Never played the titles before. Awesome game, awesome video! I really would love an new Title in the series.

This is such a good game but Cole will have a special place in my heart because the previous games was my childhood
Infamous second son was one of the first in the series I’ve ever played and getting it almost platinum was amazing. I love that your playing them and hope you do the others in the series 😊😊
In my opinion, an absolutely great game in the series to start on especially for new players! Definitely going to be doing the other games at some point! Only ever played the first 2 games at a friends house so it would be nice to play through them again on my account and add the platinums to the collection
I really like second son, stuff like the red smoke to like how his smile changes during the orbital drop is just stuff you don’t see often
First light is also a good spin off of infamous and having actual arena that u can test out ur skills and how good u play the game

this game was so fun i started playing when i was around 10yrs old i got bored of the game for a while aand came back to it earlier this year im 14 and wiht my first ever platinum trophy
He who dwells is probably the easiest and hardest boss fight in the entire game since I played a few times ik that if you shoot the angles you can kill him faster but just because Ik doesn’t mean he isn’t a head ache
Neon power is my favourite, this game was great fun to play. I also liked how the citizens react to you in both karma versions, in the good version ( canon) women want to sleep with Delsin and the men are cheering Delsin. In the non canon evil play through, they all want you to get lost and hope the D.U.P beats you to a pulp.
I got Platinum on this one, because it was just such a fun game. I couldn't stop playing it and wanted to see and do everything.
This game was my first 100% Platinum back in 2015 and it was the last before I went back to my PC, it was a good game honestly I didn't even need a guide to play the game I earn at my own pace.
Man i love the infamous games i wish they were available on pc too
When 100%ing a game I always go by the same rule. Never leave side activities for later. Go around grind all side activities the moment they become available. Story is always at the very bottom of the list. If you can max level and unlock everything before finishing mission 1 it makes the whole game easier plus the final boss is always the final thing you do bar any post game only content.
the whole part of killing his whole tribe at the end is so cartoonishly evil it actually hurts that ending imo
you can actually get a different evil ending if you dont go pure evil during the game, for example if you make all evil choices but then you spare hank, then you get the evil ending but instead of having delsin kill the tribe, the game just ends after betty slams the door in his face. im not sure if the ending is tied to your karmic level being under level 5 or if its if you make pure evil choices or not tho

Did you play the paper trail DLC that included the little girl conduit who Augustine found and then captured so she wouldn’t be killed? Or it wasn’t really needed for This Playthrough of the game?

Haven’t played first light but have played 1 and 2 at a friends many many years back. Festival of blood spin off was a bit whacky for an infamous game but enjoyable as well
That was my first platinum trophy
So I have no idea if this is a common thing but I was going for this platinum on the final mission of my bad karma ending when fetch kills the DUP guys on the roof across from the tower the game crashed and would not load so I had one option. Restart all of it the collectibles everything because I was missing the last blastshard for 100% all districts on the tower and I haven’t even started my good karma run yet idk man all I know is I’m really pissed I went from loving this game to never wanting to play it EVER again in less then 10 seconds

This game wasn't as good as the previous two games, but it was still pretty solid. I just hate that the series is essentially dead. The first two games are by far my favorite on PS3.

How did you get the platinum trophy? There's a trophy for beating the game on expert difficulty and in the settings it says expert difficulty is ineligible for the trophy
You have to be on expert from start to finish if you switch difficulty’s then you mess up
you should plat kena bridge of spirits or a borderlands game

Can anyone please tell if I can platinum the game by doing a first playthrough with bad karma and the second one with good karma? Any precautions about game saves ou backups necessary? Thanks in advance
Yeah mate of course you can, I just opted to do the good karma playthrough first! No backups or anything necessary as you have to do a full new playthrough for all of the evil choice trophies
@WatsonKHD thank you so much! The game is on my platinum list to be done, I just postponed it to play Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart first because I've seen that it takes less time to do and also because I'm coming from a lengthy streak of PS4 games platinum'd.
