I was out Street preaching and I got my first heckler... He put a video of me on FB preaching and I got all negative comments.. Even my wife thought this might upset me.. Jesus took so much more than some negative stuff.. He died for me when I was still a sinner... Now I will Street preach and I will not stop!!!! I am commanded by the Bible to go out and preach the Gospel to all creatures in this world...
If you are preaching like this guy in the video, you are taking away an addicts only hope of salvation. They can't just clean themselves up before they come to Christ. It's Christ that makes them perfect completely independent of their flesh. Their flesh will never amount to anything. So stop focusing them on their flesh.
I don’t say this to you as you seem to be genuine in your desire to serve God. But to make a point to those who are tempted to make a business out of the Lord. Street preaching can be very lucrative. I would suggest Los Angeles where Ray Comfort made his fortune. He believes you can lose your salvation- but only if you had one in the first place. Going forward in a Church and saying the sinners prayer is tough competition for a street preacher.
Funny thing is 2 nights ago I saw a “hell testimony”. It scared me straight. I repented of 🌽, weed, everything. You’re right the FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Tired of sinning against the Lord
Hell is a lie but disappointing God is real. Fear disappointing the one that loves us unconditionally. Give up any sins you may be doing but do it out of love, not a fear of eternal torment.

Praying for you! I too have had struggles with things. Which only through Jesus can we all truly be set free. I've also been reading Ecclesiastes.. it really gets you thinking about how everything is meaningless without Him. I mean look at love of a husband and wife, I mean true love and marriage as the Bible talks about.. what an amazing gift from God (I really look forward to hopefully experiencing that someday). But then those videos.. it's just sin, it's disobedience, and it's not that gift God gave of doing those things in marriage. There is no good that comes from it.. it mainly hurts God most of all of course as it's sin against Him, it also hurts ourself and spouse/future spouse some too. Plus those people on the video also have a soul and they're destroying themselves.. and everyone watches as also getting sucked into the destruction. I'm just disgusted at the things I've seen which I never should have. I just know I want to love the Lord like Matthew 22:37 says and if God blesses me with a wife I want to love her like His word says too. I believe you sir. I was saved at an early age but after the military and going overseas I fell away. I came back to God but was still hanging out in places I shouldn't be at. I was working part time as security at a bar and it took the rebuke of a Christian woman out of nowhere walking up to me with a message from the Holy Spirit. She told me "Where are you going?" I said to work at the bar. She shook her head and said "That's not the place for you. What does a sheep have in common with the wolves there? They aren't looking for God they are looking for sin." I put my notice in and God took all desire for that place away from me.

Our days should look like worship to God. Not just Sunday. Monday-Saturday too. God told me yesterday while reading the word "You love me but don't spend time with me" and it felt like a warning. Make the consistent changes now because it definitely is a lifestyle change when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
He told you that because He knows how much you will miss out without having fellowship with Him. Not a warning. Just start with 15 minutes in His word and 5-10 minutes praying. It will grow from there. Satan will try to distract you from meeting with Him so be aware of that.
When I was 8 I claimed to be a Christian yet I was rude, gossiped, I thought that If I nice sometimes that was enough and I was saved. I’m twelve now and I know I’m not saved by my works but by the good works of Jesus on the Cross. He saved me and he overcame sin and death. But, now I also know that I must obey his will and not live for myself or for my desires. That I still need to read my word constantly and pray because it’s important especially in order to have a relationship with him! I’m still learning but, I know that I’m not saved through being a “good person” but I’m saved because of Jesus. 💗

For the past few months Ive been having extremely negative thoughts like “Im going to Hell” or “God hates me” I was sent to a Christian camp, when it was the last day, the camp counselor played a song, after that song, he reminds us that God loves us no matter who we are, I was touched, I cried for, the entire time we were in the campfire. Its the most memorable event of my life, when I came back, I took my prayers seriously, I prayed for others more than myself, and when I have some sort of problem in my life, I pray to God.
You are saved by what God did for you. Not what you do for yourself. If you believe Jesus took 100% of your punishment when He di3d for your sins..how much punishment is left for you today?
If you struggle with those negative thoughts more in the future I would encourage you to look into "scrupulosity" which is a religious form of OCD. I know that struggle personally and have found great help through a website, I believe it's called "net burst". Written by Grantley Morris.
This message really hit close because many churches “have a form of godliness but deny its power”. My dad led our family out of a church that was seeker friendly with a version of the Bible that wasn’t raw, but rather was watered down. Truly following Christ is about not loving your life even unto death.

Same. I felt nothing following the sugar coated Gospel, and I know all these other people preaching that Faith is just saying you believe in Jesus with no desire to change feel nothing as well. It was only until I decided I wanted to stop serving myself and serve God that I was truly born again and saved.

They could be blind and not aware of their lukewarmness and the consequences of them. A little help is all they need. Yes, licentiousness and lukewarmness is considered as taking the wide path that leads to destruction, but persecution for it isn’t necessary. All they need is a simple correction and if they don’t listen then pray for them. If they’re not actually saved warn them. I know I am born again, when I accepted him in my life, I felt him washing my old life away and renewing me with his love. It was the most comforting and loving thing I have ever felt, while I do stray, I always reach out to him for guidance, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't from the love I feel from God.
Early in my adult life I was assuming I was Christian. I had been going to a Bible believing church and agreed with what they were saying so figured I was ok. But thankfully I came to realize I had yet to ask Christ to forgive my sin and be my savior. Now that faith is real, my future is assured and I am His forever.
Sanctification is for one who will profit a crown(s) at the white throne of judgement. Not if a person will go to heaven or not. You should be rebuking this video in the name of Jesus Christ. Because NO Christian is going to hell. Only the unbelievers of Jesus Christ.

Salvation was done(past tense) already for everyone,but it is each an eveyones responsibility to receive the gift of salvation. We say yes to Jesus. Phillipians 1:6 and God who begins this wonderful work, completes it and also Phillipians 2:13 is huge, it is HIS spirit working in us TO WILL US!!
Ive been dealing with a few things that I'm not proud of lately after I came back to christ from about 20 years. I do know that Jesus loves me and more importantly KNOWS me. Friday night was one of the best days of my life. For the last two years ive been in isolation allowing God to transform me. No secular movies/music, cursing, partying, drinking or being sexually immoral. Ive been asking to know the voice of the Holy Spirit. I struggled with recognizing my own thoughts with His voice. I actually heard him and it was a task to serve someone I randomly saw hours before. I went and completed his task and I swear it was the best feeling in the world to know God “Used me.” During that night he gave me so much confirmation during that interaction that this was his works. I used to be a lukewarm Christian and im so glad he truly delivered me. Its a good feeling knowing your eternity is with the one whom loves you most but you must also show you love him as well.

Jesus says it's easy to get saved - all you have to do is believe in Him. The hard part is coming to the end of yourself and realizing that you cannot save yourself, you cannot justify yourself, you cannot sanctify yourself - if you think you can do anything to justify yourself in the eyes of God OTHER THAN BELIEVE THE GOSPEL, you are just like Cain. Cain was the original archetype of the self-righteous religious moralist, he thought God would approve of his fleshly works and that his works would justify him. Instead, God rejected his works and told him that "Sin lies at the door." Why is that? Because in thinking he could justify himself, Cain became self-righteous and evil, which is why he became so angry at God for accepting Abel's blood sacrifice and he took it out on Abel by killing him. THAT is what the religious spirit does to you, it makes you think you can keep the Commandments and keep the Law, but you can't and nobody ever could. That is why we need Christ, He is the only propitiation for sin and all you can do is BELIEVE IT.

Nothing but the blood of Jesus can and has washed away our sin. The works salvation, trying to earn and keep our salvation by obeying the commandments is a false gospel. What can wash away our sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. It is by grace through faith, it is not of ourselves that we are saved It is the free gift of God.

I went too the blue letter bible site and looked up "love, commandments". I found 18 verses that says If you love me (God/Jesus), keep my commandments. We are not saved by works, but what if you have sin in your life that is not forgiven? The scariest thing I can think of is standing before Jesus and he says depart from me, I never knew you or to be found Luke warm and he spews me out of his mouth. We are not sinless, but he knows if we are trying. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of our salvation. I had fear of my earthly father and wanted to please him. I should at least give my heavenly Father as much respect.
There is only one thing that saves you and your viewers from hell: believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ. On the other hand, your dead works, your so called repentance of sins is what will send you to hell! So really repent and BELIEVE in Jesus Christ and His finished work. The problem with the whole I am holier than thou is what about the people who will never hear about Jesus and also Muslims/Jews all other people who would end up in hell ( to die I am convinced of conditional immortality ). If we are trusting our works to save us we are no different than them.

@@Yung_Ozzy It's not the works that save you, but those who have faith will naturally have good works. You will hear "I never knew you" if you aren't putting what Jesus taught into practice. Saying "lord, lord" isn't enough. Jesus himself said it. The message in what you quote is that we are not to boast or take credit for the works, it is through God's grace that all is possible.

Incorrect. Read Galatians 8. If you have to work for salvation, that is vehemently against scripture and against Jesus Christ finished work on cross; read Romans 8 to understand that we were saved NOT BY WORKS but FOR WORKS.... I needed this!! When I was born, God let me survive. 😇 In the inbator, one hand was ✊🏻 like fighting for my life, and the other ✋🏻 like praising the Lord! I know He let me live for a reason. I had a twin but she's in Heaven. I owe my life to God. He must've known that I could get through life with His help, and be an overcomer, and spread His love. I hate sin, but love people. I do believe that when you sin, you need to repent, and sin no more. I know we're not perfect, but we need, even myself, need to read the Bible (KJV). And obey Him too. 🙏🏻 Im stubborn. I know thats no excuse!! Im thankful that I still feel His presence, and the there is nothing like it! 😌😇 Everything fades away, and even sometimes God helps me to quit crying, and He makes me laugh during worship! 😀🥰 Every life is important!! This is a great message and a challenge to all of us to walk more like Christ every day. Once we are delivered and forgiven of our sins, it is up to us to try and never sin again. You are supposed to go and sin no more after forgiveness. Of course only Christ can be perfect and we will sin again, but you must remain strong and resist your sinful nature. If you cannot stop sinning, what is the point of “trying” not to sin? Sorry if I’m being vague, but I don’t mean sin and just ask for forgiveness, but let me put it this way: The brakes in your car stop working, and you know that they don’t work. Would you go driving in that car, and try to brake? No, because you know the car won’t stop. Focus on your relationship with Jesus, and have faith that you are saved no matter how much you do works to “prove” you have faith. Then, through Jesus’s sanctification in you, you will lose the desire to sin, and naturally get better. Yes repent and have faith that God will forgive you and forget your sins. Yes maybe we cannot stop sinning but there still is a need to be more self-convicting and holding yourself responsible. While we cannot be perfect and I'm not saying to be holier than thou, but live a holy life. A Christ-like life. We should aim to be more Christ-like and be better every day.

You are talking about who I was. Said the prayer as a kid, went to church a bit, and grew up to be a hedonistic "cultural" Christian. Wasn't until a major event in my life where I said, "ya know I've never read the Bible in all my life" started to read and was majorly convicted by my lack of a true saving faith. He grabbed a hold of me then and for 4 years I've found joy and have been transformed. So many wicked things I had taken pleasure in, I completely lost my taste for and practically instantly. I intellectually knew the truth of Jesus but it wasn't until that fateful day in 2020 that I came to know the Lord, not just of Him.

In order to have everlasting life you absolutely must trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation 💓 this means that saving repentance is turning from unbelief to belief. You either believe that Jesus paid your sin debt in full or you don't.

Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

Truth. We aren't our own anymore once we are born again. But it isn't really taught. I'm 64 and the Lord separated me and it was in those times with Him He taught me some hard lessons on that...lovingly, patiently, mercifully...but chastising was part of His teaching me, guiding me, refining, shaping me...sanctifying me. I never learned those kinds of things from any pastors or anyone else really. We read and hear about dying to self but don't take it seriously....God is serious about it. (Romans 10:13) He also wrote "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9). The Apostle John wrote "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God." (1 John 5:1). Belief in Jesus Christ is the only requirement for salvation. Good works are important. But they do not save you. You are absolutely correct that if one says you have no sin, they are a liar because it's someone claiming they don't need the blood of Jesus to cover their sins. Total agreement there. But you have to believe in Jesus to believe in the power of his blood. Belief is key.

Narrow meaning Christ alone. Many will take the broad path that leads to destruction and will say “Lord, Lord, did we not do many wonderful works?” And Christ will reject them. Be careful not to be the Pharisee, who went home rejected by the Lord. Be the Publican, who said “have mercy on me, a sinner” and went home justified by the Lord.

That is true, but good works are the fruit of faith. If you have faith, works will naturally grow along with it, even though it's not a requirement for salvation.

I was baptised 3 years ago as an adult, and the Holy Spirit entered my soul to guide me and show me the right way to live. I have never been the same, and KNOW God loves me (and I love Him so much!!). In response I just yearn for Him all the time, and read His word, and He leads me and guides me. Very different to the "Christian" person I was before - thought I was going to be saved because I knew Jesus died to save me, but I still lived in selfishness and pride. Because of the change in me now, I KNOW I wasn't saved back then. Thank you David for sharing this very important message.
So Jesus died in vain? Like what did He even accomplish if this is the case? Plus there is WAAY more videos and instances everywhere of people preaching fear rather than love. He only died in vain if you professing your faith doesn't lead to any sort of change. Jesus told us that he is the truth and the truth will set us free. Free from the bondage of sin. This is what we are being saved from, so that we can have spiritual connection to God. He did not die so that you can continue living in sin. When you receive the Holy Spirit you will know it, and these types of videos won't even bother you anymore. The good news is that we can become connected to God through faith and grace. God does everything, but he won't produce a change inside of you if you don't truly want to turn from sin in your heart.

Faith and works go hand in hand, that is the lesson. You do not earn your salvation through doing good deeds, but through having faith in Christ, which will be reflected in good works. It is not words alone that save you, it is a change that happens in your heart and will reflect in your actions.

This is works trusting heresy. We should do good works out of love for being saved. It is not a requirement to stay saved. This is leven of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy (2:53 he said “we all fall short daily then he continues to place the burden of salvation on the believer). This is because he conflates salvation with discipleship which is two different issues. If anyone is reading this put you full trust in Jesus Christ as your savior and believe He died for all of your sins. Jesus was trying to save us from being slaves to sin. Those who have received the Holy Spirit would never consider doing God's will and turning away from sin "backloading works," because they have seen the truth of what sin really is and been set free. "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" John 8:32. We don't have to do any works, just decide we want to turn away from sin, and God will do the rest for us. You have to make sure your faith in Jesus is from the heart and for the right reasons. God will not let you receive the Holy Spirit if you're still attached to sins of the flesh with no desire to change. We have free will, he's not going to force that onto anyone who doesn't believe in their heart. Because if someone had false faith and received the Holy Spirit, they would be miserable. The sin that they desire would now grieve them.

If not, how much sin do we have to turn from to be sure that we are saved. “The thought of foolish is sin…” Proverbs 24:9 and the book of James “If you know to do good and you do not it is sin”. So how can you know that you are going to heaven before you die or do we find out after if our sin is small enough? Listen living right it’s important to God and if a believer does not God will judge him as a loving Father and chastise him. “ But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.” - 1 Corinthians 11:32. If a believer refuses to listen then that believer could be called home prematurely (reference 1 Corinthians 5:5 & 1 Corinthians 11:30). There are blessings and freedom that come with getting the victory over sin, but you or anyone else cannot depend on that to get you into heaven. The Bible calls sin the transgression of the law 1 John 3:4 and no man will be justified from the works of the law Galatians 2:16. I understand what you are saying about wanting to live holy and that’s good. But sin is extremely serious and shouldn’t be taken lightly even the tiny sins that seem insignificant to a man will be judged so you have to trust in Jesus alone for salvation and not in you “sinning less”. I think the key point here is once we are saved, we are changed from the inside so that sin grieves us more than it gives us pleasure. So we want to avoid it. I think we are all saved who truly believe in Jesus and everything he said, maybe just some submit more and let the Holy Spirit guide more. Thanks for not accusing me of backloading works though, because I know in my heart that's not what I'm doing. Anyways, I totally agree with your views. It's mostly the people who completely ignore all aspects of repentance. Because I think there's a difference between believing that Jesus existed and rose from the dead, vs relying on him and trusting in him to wash away your sins. The Holy Spirit does come when we believe but there are believers that continue in carnality and have to be rebuked, that is why Paul wrote to the Corinthian church and he called them brethren, washed, and sanctified. He was telling them their identity in Christ and challenged them to live like it. My point is that the change is not always automatic and it cannot always be seen with fleshly eyes all the time even when someone has the Holy Spirit. Look what’s written in the book of James also “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The SPIRT that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy” James 4:4-5. These people being addressed are in dwelled with the Spirit. It is by faith that he is glad, not works. But faith without works is dead. God is sovereign. Any mechanism that we think the Devil has one over on, God has already won. We need not worry. I have changed but over time once I was saved things started to no longer appeal to me where I felt something telling me "nope" or nah. Specifically music. I don't hear or watch the same things anymore. And I believe that once you understand the mercy that God has and how merciful he is, it just frees you to repent and to reject the old ways.
I am struggling with porn. I hate it, I’m genuinely trying to stop but I’ve been really struggling. Even going 5 days without it feels like an accomplishment (at some point I went four months without it and felt amazing when it was not a habit anymore). Ever since my break up it’s been a major struggle again.

I believe you misunderstood the brothers comment. I can see how you did because of missing punctuation in the comment. He is saying that there are those who believe they are heaven bound because of self righteous works, but true believers rest on what Christ accomplished on the cross for our justification, which is true. I could be wrong, but I think you got hung up on the word"rest", that doesn't mean we "let go and let God", sit back and do nothing, it means we are to reckon it true.
Obviously you don't understand the gospel and should not be teaching the Bible. A person is saved solely by belief in Jesus Christ and nothing more. The term "born again" simply means you are fully trusting in Christ's finished work and not your own. When you say "most Christians will go to hell" that tells me you have no idea what you're talking about, and you yourself are believing a false gospel. A believer in Jesus Christ can not go to hell for ANY reason EVER. The word repent has nothing to do with sin. Repent simply means to turn, to change direction, or to change your mind. "And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people." Exodus 32:14 God is the one who does the most repenting in the Bible. So how can repentance have anything to do with sin if God is the one doing it? It can't, obviously. The word "repent," when used in the context of salvation, simply means to change your mind about who Jesus Christ is. You are changing (repenting) from a position of unbelief in Jesus Christ to a position of belief in Jesus Christ. I did not believe that Jesus is the messiah but I repented and now I believe Jesus is the messiah. That's it, end of story. Romans 4:5 My advice to you is make sure you at least fully understand the gospel before making these types of videos. The absolute last thing you want to be doing is spreading a false gospel.

We can take what begins as a dream or idea and turn it into reality. We all fall short of Christ at times. Because we are a son of God, and Jesus is THE son of God. Jesus was and is closest to the weak and broken. Remember this always. Because you were born means you were chosen. God knew you before you were born. Because you were born means you'll live forever more. Happiness should come to you from realizing this about yourself.

If you are preaching like this guy in the video, you are taking away an addicts only hope of salvation. They can't just clean themselves up before they come to Christ. It's Christ that makes them perfect completely independent of their flesh. Their flesh will never amount to anything. So stop focusing them on their flesh.

Street preaching can be very lucrative. I would suggest Los Angeles where Ray Comfort made his fortune. He believes you can lose your salvation- but only if you had one in the first place. Going forward in a Church and saying the sinners prayer is tough competition for a street preacher.
Funny thing is 2 nights ago I saw a “hell testimony”. It scared me straight. I repented of 🌽, weed, everything. You’re right the FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Tired of sinning against the Lord
Hell is a lie but disappointing God is real. Fear disappointing the one that loves us unconditionally. Give up any sins you may be doing but do it out of love, not a fear of eternal torment.

Praying for you! I too have had struggles with things. Which only through Jesus can we all truly be set free. I've also been reading Ecclesiastes.. it really gets you thinking about how everything is meaningless without Him. I mean look at love of a husband and wife, I mean true love and marriage as the Bible talks about.. what an amazing gift from God (I really look forward to hopefully experiencing that someday). But then those videos.. it's just sin, it's disobedience, and it's not that gift God gave of doing those things in marriage. There is no good that comes from it.. it mainly hurts God most of all of course as it's sin against Him, it also hurts ourself and spouse/future spouse some too. Plus those people on the video also have a soul and they're destroying themselves.. and everyone watches as also getting sucked into the destruction. I'm just disgusted at the things I've seen which I never should have. I just know I want to love the Lord like Matthew 22:37 says and if God blesses me with a wife I want to love her like His word says too. I believe you sir. I was saved at an early age but after the military and going overseas I fell away. I came back to God but was still hanging out in places I shouldn't be at. I was working part time as security at a bar and it took the rebuke of a Christian woman out of nowhere walking up to me with a message from the Holy Spirit. She told me "Where are you going?" I said to work at the bar. She shook her head and said "That's not the place for you. What does a sheep have in common with the wolves there? They aren't looking for God they are looking for sin." I put my notice in and God took all desire for that place away from me.
Maybe you could have prayed for people their. God can use you in situations. I find people in the church a nightmare.

Our days should look like worship to God. Not just Sunday. Monday-Saturday too. God told me yesterday while reading the word "You love me but don't spend time with me" and it felt like a warning. When I was 8 I claimed to be a Christian yet I was rude, gossiped, I thought that If I nice sometimes that was enough and I was saved. I’m twelve now and I know I’m not saved by my works but by the good works of Jesus on the Cross. He saved me and he overcame sin and death. But, now I also know that I must obey his will and not live for myself or for my desires. That I still need to read my word constantly and pray because it’s important especially in order to have a relationship with him! I’m still learning but, I know that I’m not saved through being a “good person” but I’m saved because of Jesus. 💗

For the past few months Ive been having extremely negative thoughts like “Im going to Hell” or “God hates me” I was sent to a Christian camp, when it was the last day, the camp counselor played a song, after that song, he reminds us that God loves us no matter who we are, I was touched, I cried for, the entire time we were in the campfire. Its the most memorable event of my life, when I came back, I took my prayers seriously, I prayed for others more than myself, and when I have some sort of problem in my life, I pray to God.

If you struggle with those negative thoughts more in the future I would encourage you to look into "scrupulosity" which is a religious form of OCD. I know that struggle personally and have found great help through a website, I believe it's called "net burst". Written by Grantley Morris.

I know I am born again, when I accepted him in my life, I felt him washing my old life away and renewing me with his love. It was the most comforting and loving thing I have ever felt, while I do stray, I always reach out to him for guidance, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't from the love I feel from God.
Early in my adult life I was assuming I was Christian. I had been going to a Bible believing church and agreed with what they were saying so figured I was ok. But thankfully I came to realize I had yet to ask Christ to forgive my sin and be my savior. Now that faith is real, my future is assured and I am His forever.

Friday night was one of the best days of my life. For the last two years ive been in isolation allowing God to transform me. No secular movies/music, cursing, partying, drinking or being sexually immoral. Ive been asking to know the voice of the Holy Spirit. I struggled with recognizing my own thoughts with His voice. I actually heard him and it was a task to serve someone I randomly saw hours before. I went and completed his task and I swear it was the best feeling in the world to know God “Used me.” During that night he gave me so much confirmation during that interaction that this was his works. I used to be a lukewarm Christian and im so glad he truly delivered me. Its a good feeling knowing your eternity is with the one whom loves you most but you must also show you love him as well.

Jesus says it's easy to get saved - all you have to do is believe in Him. The hard part is coming to the end of yourself and realizing that you cannot save yourself, you cannot justify yourself, you cannot sanctify yourself - if you think you can do anything to justify yourself in the eyes of God OTHER THAN BELIEVE THE GOSPEL, you are just like Cain. Cain was the original archetype of the self-righteous religious moralist, he thought God would approve of his fleshly works and that his works would justify him. Instead, God rejected his works and told him that "Sin lies at the door." Why is that? Because in thinking he could justify himself, Cain became self-righteous and evil, which is why he became so angry at God for accepting Abel's blood sacrifice and he took it out on Abel by killing him. THAT is what the religious spirit does to you, it makes you think you can keep the Commandments and keep the Law, but you can't and nobody ever could. That is why we need Christ, He is the only propitiation for sin and all you can do is BELIEVE IT.

I went too the blue letter bible site and looked up "love, commandments". I found 18 verses that says If you love me (God/Jesus), keep my commandments. We are not saved by works, but what if you have sin in your life that is not forgiven? The scariest thing I can think of is standing before Jesus and he says depart from me, I never knew you or to be found Luke warm and he spews me out of his mouth. We are not sinless, but he knows if we are trying. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of our salvation. I had fear of my earthly father and wanted to please him. I should at least give my heavenly Father as much respect.

Incorrect. Read Galatians 8. If you have to work for salvation, that is vehemently against scripture and against Jesus Christ finished work on cross; read Romans 8 to understand that we were saved NOT BY WORKS but FOR WORKS....

I needed this!! When I was born, God let me survive. 😇 In the inbator, one hand was ✊🏻 like fighting for my life, and the other ✋🏻 like praising the Lord! I know He let me live for a reason. I had a twin but she's in Heaven. I owe my life to God. He must've known that I could get through life with His help, and be an overcomer, and spread His love. I hate sin, but love people. This is a great message and a challenge to all of us to walk more like Christ every day. Once we are delivered and forgiven of our sins, it is up to us to try and never sin again. You are supposed to go and sin no more after forgiveness. Of course only Christ can be perfect and we will sin again, but you must remain strong and resist your sinful nature. Live a holy life brothers and sisters! The Lord will strengthen you and put on the full armor of God. Resist temptation and sin no more! In the MIGHTY name of Yahusha! Amein.
If you cannot stop sinning, what is the point of “trying” not to sin? Sorry if I’m being vague, but I don’t mean sin and just ask for forgiveness, but let me put it this way:
The brakes in your car stop working, and you know that they don’t work. Would you go driving in that car, and try to brake? No, because you know the car won’t stop.
Focus on your relationship with Jesus, and have faith that you are saved no matter how much you do works to “prove” you have faith. Then, through Jesus’s sanctification in you, you will lose the desire to sin, and naturally get better. Not perfect, and not a certain “amount” better (it varies between different people), but better. I love you brother/sister, and I pray that this helps you. I love you.
@@mkish5123 It is important to not sin willfully. It is better to be obedient than to sacrifice your relationship with the Father. Yes repent and have faith that God will forgive you and forget your sins. Yes maybe we cannot stop sinning but there still is a need to be more self-convicting and holding yourself responsible. While we cannot be perfect and I'm not saying to be holier than thou, but live a holy life. A Christ-like life. We should aim to be more Christ-like and be better every day.
When Jesus says take up your cross, he talking about discipleship not salvation. We are saved by faith alone, even Jesus says that.

You are talking about who I was. Said the prayer as a kid, went to church a bit, and grew up to be a hedonistic "cultural" Christian. Wasn't until a major event in my life where I said, "ya know I've never read the Bible in all my life" started to read and was majorly convicted by my lack of a true saving faith. He grabbed a hold of me then and for 4 years I've found joy and have been transformed. So many wicked things I had taken pleasure in, I completely lost my taste for and practically instantly. I intellectually knew the truth of Jesus but it wasn't until that fateful day in 2020 that I came to know the Lord, not just of Him.

We aren't our own anymore once we are born again. But it isn't really taught. I'm 64 and the Lord separated me and it was in those times with Him He taught me some hard lessons on that...lovingly, patiently, mercifully...but chastising was part of His teaching me, guiding me, refining, shaping me...sanctifying me. I never learned those kinds of things from any pastors or anyone else really. We read and hear about dying to self but don't take it seriously....God is serious about it.

That is true, but good works are the fruit of faith. If you have faith, works will naturally grow along with it, even though it's not a requirement for salvation.

I was baptised 3 years ago as an adult, and the Holy Spirit entered my soul to guide me and show me the right way to live. I have never been the same, and KNOW God loves me (and I love Him so much!!). In response I just yearn for Him all the time, and read His word, and He leads me and guides me. Very different to the "Christian" person I was before - thought I was going to be saved because I knew Jesus died to save me, but I still lived in selfishness and pride. Because of the change in me now, I KNOW I wasn't saved back then. Thank you David for sharing this very important message.

He only died in vain if you professing your faith doesn't lead to any sort of change. Jesus told us that he is the truth and the truth will set us free. Free from the bondage of sin. This is what we are being saved from, so that we can have spiritual connection to God. He did not die so that you can continue living in sin. When you receive the Holy Spirit you will know it, and these types of videos won't even bother you anymore. The good news is that we can become connected to God through faith and grace. God does everything, but he won't produce a change inside of you if you don't truly want to turn from sin in your heart.

Faith and works go hand in hand, that is the lesson. You do not earn your salvation through doing good deeds, but through having faith in Christ, which will be reflected in good works. It is not words alone that save you, it is a change that happens in your heart and will reflect in your actions.

This is works trusting heresy. We should do good works out of love for being saved. It is not a requirement to stay saved. This is leven of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy (2:53 he said “we all fall short daily then he continues to place the burden of salvation on the believer). This is because he conflates salvation with discipleship which is two different issues. If anyone is reading this put you full trust in Jesus Christ as your savior and believe He died for all of your sins. The issue of death and hell has been resolved on the cross if you have trusted the savior. Now you should grow in grace but not because you fear hell, that has been settled. Jesus was trying to save us from being slaves to sin. Those who have received the Holy Spirit would never consider doing God's will and turning away from sin "backloading works," because they have seen the truth of what sin really is and been set free. "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" John 8:32.
We don't have to do any works, just decide we want to turn away from sin, and God will do the rest for us. You have to make sure your faith in Jesus is from the heart and for the right reasons. God will not let you receive the Holy Spirit if you're still attached to sins of the flesh with no desire to change. We have free will, he's not going to force that onto anyone who doesn't believe in their heart. Because if someone had false faith and received the Holy Spirit, they would be miserable. The sin that they desire would now grieve them.

If a believer refuses to listen then that believer could be called home prematurely (reference 1 Corinthians 5:5 & 1 Corinthians 11:30). There are blessings and freedom that come with getting the victory over sin, but you or anyone else cannot depend on that to get you into heaven. The Bible calls sin the transgression of the law 1 John 3:4 and no man will be justified from the works of the law Galatians 2:16. I understand what you are saying about wanting to live holy and that’s good. But sin is extremely serious and shouldn’t be taken lightly even the tiny sins that seem insignificant to a man will be judged so you have to trust in Jesus alone for salvation and not in you “sinning less”. I think the key point here is once we are saved, we are changed from the inside so that sin grieves us more than it gives us pleasure. So we want to avoid it. I think we are all saved who truly believe in Jesus and everything he said, maybe just some submit more and let the Holy Spirit guide more. Thanks for not accusing me of backloading works though, because I know in my heart that's not what I'm doing.
Anyways, I totally agree with your views. It's mostly the people who completely ignore all aspects of repentance. Because I think there's a difference between believing that Jesus existed and rose from the dead, vs relying on him and trusting in him to wash away your sins. Because I believe in the second instance, that person wants to change and WILL see change. We are his workmanship after all.

The Holy Spirit does come when we believe but there are believers that continue in carnality and have to be rebuked, that is why Paul wrote to the Corinthian church and he called them brethren, washed, and sanctified. He was telling them their identity in Christ and challenged them to live like it. My point is that the change is not always automatic and it cannot always be seen with fleshly eyes all the time even when someone has the Holy Spirit. Look what’s written in the book of James also “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. I believe you misunderstood the brothers comment. I can see how you did because of missing punctuation in the comment. He is saying that there are those who believe they are heaven bound because of self righteous works, but true believers rest on what Christ accomplished on the cross for our justification, which is true. I could be wrong, but I think you got hung up on the word"rest", that doesn't mean we "let go and let God", sit back and do nothing, it means we are to reckon it true.
Obviously you don't understand the gospel and should not be teaching the Bible. A person is saved solely by belief in Jesus Christ and nothing more. The term "born again" simply means you are fully trusting in Christ's finished work and not your own. When you say "most Christians will go to hell" that tells me you have no idea what you're talking about, and you yourself are believing a false gospel. A believer in Jesus Christ can not go to hell for ANY reason EVER. The word repent has nothing to do with sin. Repent simply means to turn, to change direction, or to change your mind. So how can repentance have anything to do with sin if God is the one doing it? It can't, obviously. If sin was 'no big deal,' then why did Jesus have to die for our sins? They separate us from fellowship with God, from entering heaven, and their penalty is severe because God is just. Jesus made his teaching clear that those who will follow him, and do the very work of replicating themselves like him. Will endure a life of suffering, chastisement, even violence for his names sake. If you take a good re-read through any point of the New Testament about the lists of sins, and how those who do them won't get into heaven.
