Congratulations, man!! The game looks great, thanks for sharing your process and we wish you the best of luck on the future steps of your game dev journey!
Wow I just watched your procedural dungeon video from 2 years ago and was sad to see you hadn't posted in 2 years, thinking the project was dead. This is awesome that you put together a team for an even bigger and better game!
Dude this looks incredible, I'm going through the same process in UE5 and having a blast, love to watch others progress alongside mine, definitely helps to motivate.
@entei6736 I wouldn't recommend Lyra for small games at all, it's way too complicated for small projects. But if you're really interested in learning it there is a Udemy course that is pretty ok and some TH-cam channels like NanceDevDiaries and Xist.
@@PolygonHive wow thank you. well I wanted to use Lyra since it had most of the features I wanted like teams, game modes, weapon etc. but maybe I will start with something else :) thank you so much for the answer
amazing progress! did you end up ditching Dungeon Architect? Im curious because you seem to have quite extensive experience with it. I am half considering using it but every time I get into it, somehow it feels that it does not really work well for a 3d setup if you want to value verticality...
Hey thanks! Yeah we decided to go without it although we had some cool prototypes with it. It was hard to get some really unique setups. And since we have a lot of verticality in our game it was even harder to get good results. In the first trailer in the video, the white ruin like level is using it.
@@PolygonHiveI'm really happy that you are still doing this and that it had such a positive impact on your life! Its super inspirational as I recently started learning game dev myself because coding finally clicked with me and everything seems doable now :D so thanks for this inspiration and good luck with the game and the studio! Its looking really awesome!
I would be careful if I were you - your game looks amazing but I can't help but see it being passed off as a Risk of Rain 2 ripoff. I don't know how you could change it to make it not seem like that, but I want your game to succeed so I hope you look into it. Maybe change the way the environments look? I'm sure it will change a lot before the final release though.
Thanks for feedback! Yes RoR2 is a big inspiration for us but our game plays very differently. Our heros are movement based and the game is a fast paced bullet-hell. So although they might look similar they don't feel similar. Still we're trying to set ourselves apart as much as possible in terms of Art Direction :)
@@PolygonHive Thank I just my Indie Game Journey not to long ago is the procedural dungeon generator you use is it easy to use? I was thinking about using it but $149.
@@PolygonHive Ok, is there a way I can get in touch with you to ask questions? I have a lot of questions that are running through my head. Looking for a mentor in Unreal.

This looks insane. The game looks insanely polished. Extremely motivating for my own project to see a solo dev get this far.
Thanks buddy! Wishing you great success on your project as well 💪
Good luck!
Bro this brought me to tears, thank you for shareing your journey. All the luck in world!

This looks like a Borderlands Crackdown. Awesome job developing a team.
Thank you!
Looks cool!
Thanks!
He is alive
Indeed I am xD
Looks amazing! Reminds me of Risk of Rain 2
Thanks! Yes, we love RoR2! it's one of our main inspirations :)
Nice to see the dream is alive and doing better than ever. Congrats man

It’s so crazy that almost half of your team is Turkish 😄
My co-founder is Turkish and there is a lot of great talent in Turkey :)
@@PolygonHive I know, there are lots of Unity developers out there. It’s good to see some great Unreal Engine Developers 😂
We're training the next generation of Turkish Unreal Devs xD
Best devlog ever!
Thanks buddy! Glad you enjoyed it 🤙
hooooooooooooooo, after a very long time, going to watch the video now
Yeah time flies man 😅
so excited to play this game :)
Glad to hear that :)

A hint of Returnal
That's a nice compliment!
I love when people make similar games of other games I like.
Very nice! I'm about 2 months in haha.
Keep it up 💪

Are the maps procedural or handcrafted ? Great Job
Thanks ;) The maps are handcrafted, but all objectives, interactions, areas of interest etc is placed procedurally
mac support?
Hopefully yes, we're looking into that
@@PolygonHive pls that would be so cool we mac useres need new good games and yours is awesome

I like the video but the script feels like it was written by chat gpt. Something unnatural/corporate about it.
haha that's how my devlogs have always been way before chatgpt, I like this narrated style :)
@@PolygonHive Fair enough
I just subscribe to your channel great content. How can I contact you I have a few questions I would like to ask about being a indie dev.
Thanks for the support! You can just ask here I'll do my best to answer. I will have a Discord open soon but it's not yet ready :)

Yeah it's really a great plugin but the price is pretty high. Maybe wait for a sale, it's often discounted.
