I’am curious about the time because I thinking I want to buy the 550 as my next vehicle instead of the n70 hilux, what are your thoughts. And why did the Nav only have 360nm when it was dynoed, or is the engine only supposed to be 550, and the fly wheel different? Thanks in advance 👍🏼
HI Corey, when we put the vehicles on the dyno we are measuring the torque and power at the wheels not the flywheel. The important part is to compare the gains from standard to tuned

I'm about to get a Navara V6 , but I did read the automatic transmission is only rated for 600Nm. The engine have 550Nm, so is it safe to do this tune?
@@UltimateDieselTuning Sounds very interesting, in the video it say 61% gain in torque. The engine have 550Nm , when you get 61% gain on the Back wheels, what is the engine output at this moment? must be a big step up. Thanks for the comment ! love your videos and work.
@@negueba235689 the 550nm is only an estimated figure, at the engine. They don't make anywhere near that at the wheels. If you add 61% to 550nm, then that is what this one is now making (approximately) at the engine.
Results will vary - this is because we custom dyno tune every car individually, depending on the vehicle's use & how the owner wants us to tune it. With the YD25s, expect a 20% and upwards gain in power & torque.
I’m looking at maximising torque figures and gaining some low down hp too, if I get a upgraded turbo (nothing overly too big) probably high flowed version of the current turbo and some +30 injectors or whatever injectors suit, could you guys tailor a tune for those modifications ? Would the head studs need to be changed for a small upgrade a such ?
This car wasn't tuned for max power/torque. But it made very impressive gains regardless. I hope you are not looking at the end figure & comparing it to other cars on other dynos?
Good luck with the reliability on that one. Those engines are so highly stressed they commonly spin big end bearings at as little as 150’000 just with the factory tune. No ‘basic’ modification is going to fix that. I know cause I’ve had one and been through the headaches.
What engine is this powered by? In the UK it's the Renault 3ltr V6
It’s class as v9x 3ltr v6 here in OZ and obviously it’s a Renault production line
Q., how much does the package cost please.?
How reliable are these d40s?
Well it last until 400,000km with regular maintenance?
What recovery points ru using at the front there? I can't find any to suit my 550
Not sure mate as it's a customer's car.
lol your employer car

We have tuned hundreds of these mate, no issues whatsoever!
Be careful, the gearbox can only handle 600nm.
The gearbox is fine mate
170kw at the wheels n 673 NM did tuned 3 years no harm at all
I pulled 200+kw/760nm, gearbox held for a while, then started playing up.
Just a friendly caution

So Nissan says its 550nm but standard its 363nm😳 Gees the transmission and diff kills power!... Or Nissan is full of shit!
Nissan estimated 550 at the engine. Our dyno reads at the WHEELS. Big difference!
