When the two bands played together Hanabie came on first and killed it. They played their set from Girls Reform Manifest plus Love Ranbu and I thought , "Hell Yukina is pretty powerful with her different screams". I wondered how Mayu would compare live. Then Nemophila opened with this song and it was then I thought Mayu and Yukina are just the best Screamo sisters. Then when they did Zen together that closed the deal for me. Mayu and Yukina. Screamo sisters. There was a section in Zen where Yukina started the roar and then Mayu joined in halfway extending the screamo power and it was ballistic off the planet amazing.
Up until I discovered Mayu, I was definitely NOT a fan of growling/screaming, however because of my love of Nemophila's early work, ( cover's and singles) I became more accustomed to it, I live them, I love Hanabie, I love the entire Japanese women's rock/metal machine, I'm never looking back.
Hanabie and Nemophila are roughly on par now. Nemophila has more subscribers, but Hanabie has the most viewed video of the two, so I wouldn't say one is bigger than the other. And as far as I know, the two bands like each other a lot. When Hettsu gave autographs after the Frankfurt concert and saw someone with a Nemophila t-shirt, she was very happy about it. And by the way, the Hanabie club concerts are extremely good, saw two of them and they were the best concerts I've seen so far, a concert can only get more personal when the band plays in your living room. If you have the chance to see such a concert, you should definitely take the opportunity.
I love both bands, so this is just the cat's ass. Got to say, there is nothing in the world more adorable than Haraguchi-san making fierce expressions.
You're correct, Hanabie has been around longer but Nemophila has more subscribers. Yes, Hanabie has blown up recently, their video for this song has 4 million views, which may not sound like much but is the most popular video for both Hanabie and Nemophila. It's sad that a boring song like Sugar by Maroon 5 gets 3.9 billion views and music like this struggles to find viewers.
Yes they do. They do have an outside quieter they have been working with since the start, but they are getting more worrying credits. They all contribute👍
I do not like Hanabie but if I have to listen to one of their songs, I definitely want it to be a cover by Nemophila! Whiskey Dust tonight at 10 pm EST here on YT.
Despite my big love for Nemophila, I think that Hanabie have already grown bigger then them, they blow up with super successful European tour! All shows were sold out everywhere + they had to upgrade the venues to bigger, people crazy about Hanabie all over the world! Next USA tour, then Asia, and big festivals, they will play on one stage with Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Bring me the horizon, Korn,Tool, Pantera, Avenged sevenfold, Guns n Roses,Babymetal, Green Day. Already played with Trivium,Megadeth and have cute pictures with them. Matt from Trivium huge fan of Hanabie lol:) And all this at such a young age. This girls definitely have everything, all the potential to be next biggest japanese band ever

I like both bands and not pitting the 2 against each other. Nemophila played the same festival (Aftershock) last year (Many bands play at them). In Europe many the locations were Bars and they have small capacities. Playing with Trivium and Megadeth are 2 different things.. Megadeth is a old classic while Trivium is mid card at best. Matt is Japanese (althou American and went to the High School down the street from me. ) so of course as a affection towards Japanese bands. Nemophila is more organic and well rounded.. Where Hanabie, while talented, is not so much and already changed the drummer. Another thing is Nemo keeps popping out babies.. So when that happens, it slows them down a bit.
Sorry about your bad experience with Nemophila's live sound. Two weeks ago, I saw Hanabie in a small venue (audience 500 - sold out) in Antwerp and their sound was really excellent - I was curious to see how they play on stage, they were even better than expected! Very tight band, unstoppable energy, lot of fun and great communication with the audience. They're pretty young but you instantly feel the long experience, even in front of a foreign audience, stage is their home. And it's not only Yukina, both Hettsu and even Matsuri are great entertainers too. They totally deserve their growing success.
The kick drum was SO loud and boomy that it drowned out everything else. Everything. If I didn't know the songs I would not have been able to follow them. Mayu was barely audible.
@@RyanMear Oh man that's a pity. But isn't that what the sound techs are there for, to make sure each instrument is the correct level in the mix so the audio is good across the board?
@@GaryHolloway-810unfortunately, I think this was the case for most, if not all, of their US shows earlier this year. I saw them in San Francisco and the sound was terrible there also. Believe Ryan saw them in Dallas. Judging from comments from other shows and fan cams I’ve seen, it seems to have been common on the US shows. Either they didn’t have budget for great sound techs for the overseas shows or they struggled with rented equipment, don’t know why they couldn’t dial it in well. They were still fun to watch though and I’ll definitely catch them the next time they’re over here.
I did watch them in San Diego, Austin and Dallas. They were using rented equipment. The sound did vary depending on location in the venues with San Diego’s probably the best I heard at the House of Blues. Now I’m not positive on this, but it appeared that the mixing boards were owned by the venues. The did travel with a Japanese women I noticed doing quick sound checks, but I didn’t see her behind the sound boards. In fact in San Diego you can see her working the wires for Saki to prevent tripping. So it appeared and I could be wrong, but the sound was controlled by the venues person. I’m not sure how familiar they were with the music, or their talent levels. Just an observation.
I don't understand why people just let shite sound go?! It's not good for the band or the venue. It wasn't just a bit loud or unbalanced it was horrific.
No, she isn't. Matsuri is from Musashino, Tokyo while Tamu is from Yokohama, Kanagawa. Besides, they don't even look alike. I saw someone else say the same thing somewhere. Where did you guys get that misinformation from?
Funny, as you I am a big fan of both groups but in no way would i want to see Nemophila and Hanabie one after the other. Particularly if Hanabie were first on. I disagree about Mayu being a star. Yes, she sings well and can carry out the grit and growl vocals with ease and then in my view, has a clear vocal style better than Yulina. However, going on numerous fan cams of both bands, Mayu, does not deliver anywhere near as close as Yukina, with the grit and growls. I would go as far to say Yukina, is in a completely different league. It is horses for courses and you state you prefer Mayu's grit and growl but this is the reason I would not want to see them consecutively. The impact of both bands is the grit and growl vocals from female's. Yes I know the musicianship from the Nemophila ladies is stronger than that of Hanabie but let me clearly state again, in my view, it would be nothing but disappointment listening to Mayu, after hearing Yulkina.

HANABIE. and Nemophila are my two favorite bands currently awesome reaction! Should get out C-GATE - Bident feat Yukina
