I remember being told by a doctor along time ago that the “ fire alarm “ in my brain was constantly going off after a traumatic event that caused the pain to begin with but instead of being alleviated my brain got stuck in a pain cycle.
The more simple explanation is that repressed emotions are stored in the body and your brain interprets it. Situations that trigger traumatic memories can induce pain where the chronic injury was. The solution is to eat healthy, relax and process your emotional triggers in order to make necessary changes in your life.
This fits a similar study I came across that scanned the brains of people with Pelvic pain like me. They found similar changes in the brain in all the patients and determined that normal sensations were being distorted by these regions of the brain.
The concept you outline in this video seems to harmonize quite well with Dan Buglio’s theory of perceived danger pain although Dan doesn’t go into brain anatomy as much as you do.
I have trouble differentiating between the mind body sensations and the structural things I have like osteoporosis and gut issues. I’ve had 4 spinal fractures caused by simple, normal movements, so my brain is on high alert to protect me.
TMS eventually in many cases creates physical manifestations of symptoms as the body degrades under the presence of stress hormones constantly being released. It shuts down digestion and the immune system.

I need to get out of this cycle!

These terms were way over my head and I’ve been following mind body for 5 years starting with Dr Shubiner in person. Layman’s terms please?!
