Thank you for the good info! I have fed Instint food, all varieties , off and on for years now, with my two cats, and I personally don't have an issue with the clay in their products, because it also has health benefits as it binds and removes bacteria, viruses, and other toxins from the body, to name a few. When I was transitioning off dry food, I started using Orijen, and they have been off dry food for about a good year now, and the only Orijen they get now is their dehydrated raw treats, (original ).

I'm not ready for a raw diet yet so I still buy the food at petsmart, but i read the labels so im glad i did good and everything in this video is what i actually get for my kittens. Tiki cat after dark (i get all for variety, beef,lamb,quail egg,pork), Instinct (both the kitten wet food and the dehydrated raw) i also do Nulo (the beef, turkey and duck one) only for variety and also because i know tiki cat doesn't have a lot of fat.
Here's my issue with the raw diet. If you make it yourself, fine, but having it delivered, you don't know the handling it went thru, the delivery times, temperatures it has been exposed to, etc. I personally wouldn't feed raw unless I made it.

Jess, I would be interested in your opinion on Nulo dry cat food. Their can food seems to have good ingredients.
I tried the freeze dried chicken Instinct and Grayson really likes it. Since i have him on wet raw for about 50% of his diet now, I just give him this food as a treat now. Mr. Demille, I am NOT ready for my closeup at the moment. 😹

Tiki Cat After Dark is a little light on fat for me. On a dry matter basis, they're less than 13%

Have you done a review on Primal freeze dried (specifically Pork) and Stella and Chewy freeze dried? My cat is very picky and FAT. I'm trying to find a good rotation of freeze dried and canned foods.

PetSmart in Canada started carrying Hungry Hunter frozen raw food. They have 2 formulations that need supplements but I opted for the ones that are complete. They have 3 different versions with each containing 3 different animals - a bird, a fish, and a ruminant animal - for a total of 8 different animals. It's not perfect but I'm quite happy with it. I haven't tried giving them the other things from the line yet, like quail eggs and chicken feet but that'll be next.
For dry food at PetSmart, I prefer Dr. Elsey's Chicken Recipe because it uses gelatin to hold the shape instead of plants of some kind and is super low in carbohydrates. IIRC, you don't feed pork but for others who don't care about that and need kibble for some reason, it's a decent choice available at PetSmart (in Canada at least). I don't give my cats dry food anymore but it was useful as I transitioned them from really crappy kibble. They're at various stages of wet, freeze-dried raw, and frozen raw. Pretty good considering where they started, especially my 20-year-old who was fed kibble the first 12 years of her life.

My guy got freeze dried raw as a “kibble” alternative. He loved it “dry”.
What happened to last years list, are those no longer available, I would like to still have them for alternatives.
Just watched another video that says The freeze dry raw ingredients are often added after the salt. Which is an indication that there’s less than 1%. Which is something to consider when Lookin at ingredients on other brands
Is the Instinct adult variety pack decent compared to Tiki After Dark? Maybe it's time for a switch..
I adopted 2 feral cats, one is 3 and my other kitty is 4, my one feral is FIV, not that that matters, I was wondering if you agree with my feeding sched…. I feed them their canned food morning and kibble or I make them boiled Chicken breast for their snack mid day, then another canned food, approx 5:00 then kibble a little later, just found that the vet doesn’t really help me decide with their diet and I do purchase from Pet smart, btw, awesome videos, thank you so much

Yeah, thanks for this, but I stopped shopping at Petsmart for my cats food a long time ago. For the very reasons you point out here. I still use the commercially available raw foods. I was shocked how many you've covered that I've seen and tried at least once. Have you done one on Vital Pet fresh cat food? I started with that transitioning from Rachel Ray Nutrish dry cat food. I use it for the last couple of years. I think one of my cats developed and allergy from the corn in it. I am curious about what you think of the ingredients. You help me have a clear understanding of what I am putting in my cats stomach.

Montmorillonite clay is known to have detoxifying benefits for animals.
$50 for 11 lb bag of kibble. Crazy prices and with multiple cats this will not be our 'go to' food. I just can't afford it.

I just transitioned my cats from Tiki Cat to Instinct Raw + Kibble. Is Instinct a good brand? Guess I should’ve stayed with Tiki

I see champion foods who makes Orijen and Acana was bought by mars. Sadly their food will probably decline even more.

I like the Rachel Ray "Nutrish" brand dry foods at FOODLION & WAL-MART. It's not terribly expensive. I also like Nutra Source. Their products seem good. 😻🐾
Lady , just understand that many will NEVER and don't plan on transitioning to raw or home made. Tiki born Carnivore with 1.5-2 oz of a mid to high quality wet a day will do just fine for millions of cats to live to 15 years and beyond. ... And lets dont even talk about the cats that live to be healthy 18 years plus cats on friskies wet and dry 🤷
Dry food isn't bad for cats lol
