Switzerland is a very small alpine and beautiful country in Western Europe. I had made Zurich & Luzern as a base for my Swiss trip.

Do we have to validate the Swiss pass after reaching Zurich ? Can I use it to take any intercity train ? Or I have to book ticket separately for that ?
Consecutive Passes activate on the selected date; Flexible Passes require manual activation.

I traveled in October. It's a year round destination, I would advise you to go between Sep-Nov. It's the shoulder season for Switzerland. Accommodation is cheaper and less crowd & attractions.
Is it possible to book a cab with driver? Or how much it will charge?

E tickets are not valid in Switzerland, you need to have booklet kind of pass, which they send through courier to your home address in India.

स्विट्जरलैंड 10 दिन घूमना है अकेला कितना पैसा खर्च होगा बजट में ?
It all depends on your choice of stay, traveling mode and food. मैं एक example ले रहा हूं, अगर hostels or Airbnb में आप रहते हो तो 10 दिन में खर्च होगा लगभग 30000 से 40000 Rs.
SWISS पास 8 दिनों के लिए आएगा लगभग 29000 का और फ्लाइट लगभग 40000 की. अगर पैकेज फूड Carry करते हैं तो 3000 होगा खाने का. इस तरह से Total होगा लगभग 1,10,000 से 1,20,000.

I think anybody going to Switzerland to make it a separate trip. Don’t mix trip with other countries.
I respect your opinion, ideally yes, it should be a separate trip. But for an average Indian traveler it's more economical/sensible to combine another schengen country in the same flight and visa cost

Maximum trains/ferries/ropeways mein ticket nahi lena padta, kuch spl trains main seat reservation karana hota hai. Par during journey, aapke paas Pass aur passport dono hone chahiye, TCs regularly check karte hain.

Approx 1.5-2.0 lakhs for 2 persons traveling together excluding flight and Visa. The budget always depends on the style of travel.
