When a motorcycle-riding stuntman offers his soul to Mephistopheles in order to save the life of the one he loves most, he is forced to play host to a powerful supernatural entity whose flaming skull visage strikes fear into the heart of his enemies in this feature-film version of the long-running comic series. At least its perfect because after he transformed back to himself, He thanked him for having a last chance to ride and when he left and disappear all his powers are now in Johnny Blaze.

@Elaf M.K they lose their power. the spirit of vengeance posses people who they deem worthy to provide judgment for the sinners. Thus called riders as they non stop go after sinners. Its like a game for them
@Elaf M.K Not exactly. I'm not sure if I'm correct but Carter and Johnny have the same spirit of vengeance which is Zarathos. Zarathos left Carter before after he betrayed Mephistopheles and Mephistopheles has to find a new rider which is Johnny. Even though Zarathos left Carter's body, there is some power left but it's only minimal or what he calls his "last ride".
@Elaf M.K I'm not entirely sure but I don't think he dies immediately. He may die since he's alive for a very long time. The spirit of vengeance lengthens his life span so he can recover the souls in that contract. But since he used the last drop of his power, he may die of old age.

I've always wanted to see a Ghost Rider prequel, to tell Carter Slade's story. This badass scene is one of my all-time favorites.

@@kartikiyer3067 Rather than a Ghost Rider he's more of a Ghost Driver. Nobody hears that you're riding a car and think you're the one at the wheel, they'd assume you're in the passenger seat. You hear someone is riding a bike or horse and you'll immediately understand that they're in control of the vehicle.
Robbie Reyes is an interesting take but he doesn't embody the latter part of the Ghost Rider name. He literally doesn't need a vehicle anymore since he can make portals by spinning his chain. He's just Ghost Walker at that point.
He's very loosely based on the original Ghost Rider (known as the Phantom Rider these days), who was a guy in a white costume and cape.
Even after 19 years this scene will never be forgotten

So funnily enough, that is the whole premise of the background sound "Ghost Riders in the Sky."
In the song, cowboys who are condemned are forced to herd the Devils horses for all eternity, and the horses are described exactly as what Slade is riding.

Imagine being a bank robber who luckily managed to escape from the police and the sheriff, at night you take your horse and ride towards freedom and a life of luxury, and out of nowhere you hear a horse screeching, turn around and see this damn thing chasing you at 250/kph
Considering the speed of trains back when the Wild West was a thing, the horse could easily catchup to the trains at that time. Imagine robbing the entire train cleanly just to see a flaming horse chase after you.

To be fair if he went in the fight there is a chance darkheart would expose him to the sunlight then he would change back and not be able to transform again since as that was the last time he could, then he would be vulnerable in the fight.

In your younger days were you always lighting fires in the grass and either scorching the ends of your jeans while stomping them, or rolling on the flames to put them out with your Levi's jeans and jackets.
I still remember the afternoon when a couple of kids were worried about getting in trouble if they scorched jeans putting a knee high patch of burning grass out and they were shouting at me to help them because my pants were leather.
